The world as we know it ends in the year 2000. Over the course of a week, billions die and the survivors are faced with a reality that no longer makes sense. Can they fight back against wizards, monsters, and robots in a world where none of the old rules seem to apply, and their only ally is a mysterious heads-up display that reads like a particularly uninterested narrator?

Well, that part of the story's mostly done.

Hunter, instead of being alive in the age of heroes and martyrs, bravely fighting for the future of his entire planet, is born in 2003. By the time he can walk and talk, humanity has already fought back the worst of its demons and settled into its new status quo. What's an easily bored kid supposed to do in the Midwest when there's all this magic and nothing to do with it?

Humanity once ruled space, building an empire that stretched across hundreds of stars.  Now Earth is a cold cinder in the void, its colonies and ships annihilated in an instant.  For five thousand years the surviving races have huddled in the dying light of those few stations which avoided total destruction, eking out their existence in the shadow of the long-dead humans who built their homes.  When a piece of that lost legacy resurfaces, the few who still remember humanity have one last opportunity to find the truth and avenge the fallen.

600 years have passed since the fall of civilization. The earth went through massive changes and core beasts now reign supreme. All that still exists of mankind are ruins and a scattering of walled cities. Festering pits of the worst humanity has to offer, protected by "knights" clad in a mech-like technology called armor. Nobles rule over everyone, little more than warlords. The middle class wants to make a buck and become nobles. And the rats want to survive. Death comes quickly and without warning. Even for such little personage as him.

It's quite hard to start as a dungeon core. Quite harder when divine bureaucracy simply dumps you in the a** end of nowhere because of their incompetence and because of your agent status as a Fallen Angel.

Yet Uno (temporary name) is used to working with subpar materials and making the best of circumstances. It doesn't help that his personality was cut down to size, but he tries to overcome the system with ingenuity and a healthy dose of duct tape. Or the local equivalent of such.

Hello people! It's a story about a dungeon. Or maybe the dungeon? Who knows. Dumped in a hostile world, working hard to overcome circumstances. There is an RPG system in place, but I'll try to make it not number-heavy. I would be more focused on skills - at least from the perspective of the sentient races. Dungeons will have their own little playground.

I'll try to make MC not overpowered - it always irks me how the stories tend to go from zero to hero in a few minutes. I hope y'all will enjoy the ride!

Earth: An advanced inhabitable world in the ideal colonizable range. Moderate temperatures and consistent weather patterns make this planet an incredible resource, along with a wealth of animals and wildlife beyond most worlds. Inhabited by the sentient species designated “Humans,” Earth would likely have joined the galactic community of its own accord. Levels of technology in local populace indicate a sharp trend towards interstellar travel, but still needs to make the last push to acquire reasonable interstellar technologies. Up until quite recently, Earth has not been a fully classified planet and was largely unknown. Due to biotic activity in the quadrant, however, attention has been drawn to Earth and many other possibly habitable planets in the regions, primarily for quarantine and control tactics.

Matthew Todd was not a particularly unique human being before the meteors struck the earth. Average athletics, above average intelligence, but somewhat gifted in marksmanship, the post-apocalyptic earth has been a trial by fire for him and many others. Creatures that resemble bastardized wolves roam the land in packs numbering in the thousands. With entire cities decimated, those that remain are left with the harsh reality that they may be witnessing the end of humanity. 

And yet, there is a chance. Humanity knows they are not alone in the universe - the wolves are case enough for that - but what they do not know is that they are not alone in their plight. They are not without aid. Obelisks descend from the sky, giving the people a means to fight back. With tools ranging from guns to advanced mechanical apparatus and more bizarre tools, the people must cull the Biotics. Or, be consumed by the ever growing and mutating threat.

Part One: The Fall of Humanity

It was the beginning of a new age, after a century of constant war, mankind was finally at peace. Her colonies united under Earth’s military dominion, piracy was virtually extinct and the economy was thriving. Then mankind made its first encounter with an alien race, the Cathamari. First contact was a disaster, and three months later humanity was at war with an alien race. Two years have passed since then, and humanity is losing the war. Her colonies destroyed and most of her fleets gone, her last bastion is Earth itself. But hope is not lost as humanity is on the verge of completing her first ftl capable starships.

With these new ships will Humanity conquer the stars and beat back her enemies or is she doomed to fail and be a mere footnote in galactic history?

Part Two Rebirth Synopsis:

Over seventy years have passed since the Battle for Earth. The years since than have hardened the survivors into a resourceful people. Now with only a single small fleet at their disposal, they search the far reaches of space for a new homeland from which to rebuild their civilization and prepare for their eventual return to Earth. However will their resourcefulness be enough when they come face to face with their greatest foe, a menace so alien, that no one but themselves understand their motives? Or will they be destroyed, by an enemy far more powerful than themselves?

I need to find the main characters, put the band back to together and kill the final boss before he triggers the bad ending.
