Alien life flourishes in the ruins of ancient human cities. Hundreds of distinct species and cultures. But they all worship the "Old Ones" as gods, for who else could have created these impossible devices: ships that can fly, droids that can think, and gates that form bridges between worlds.
One power-hungry Empire has learned to use these gifts to conquer and dominate all other alien cultures. With each passing day, they grind the people of Gaiam deeper under the bootheel of oppression.
But when an old, jaded thief stumbles upon an ancient, living secret... a new revolution may be at hand.

Chosen by the gods to bear a mythic power, he longed to take his place amongst the heroes and legends he grew up reading about.

On just another normal Monday, the world changed. The universe had reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A world where power is the only thing that one can truly rely on.
Jake, a seemingly average office worker, finds himself thrust into this new world. Into a tutorial filled with dangers and opportunities. In a world that should breed fear and concern, an environment that makes his fellow coworkers falter, Jake instead finds himself thriving.
Perhaps… Jake was born for this kind of world, to begin with.

Tags and content warnings are mainly to give me creative freedom later on. This is my first novel ever, and English isn’t my native language, so go easy on me chaps. Any feedback is more than welcome, of course.
To Enter Five Peaks Magical Academy you must have a familiar. Abigail hoped for a bird, maybe an owl like her best friend's, or a cuddly cat or loyal hound. She would have been happy with a particularly smart toad, even.
Instead she got you.

The world changed forever when supers emerged. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime flew through the skies for the first time, and scholars still debate the origin of power.
Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the Hero League's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years waiting to awaken a metagene, but it hasn't happened yet. The cut-off age is rapidly approaching, and he's losing hope. The last thing Daniel wants is to become another statistic.
Meanwhile, the league is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. If that weren't bad enough, something deep inside Daniel has awoken, it demands he step up, do good and protect the people he loves. He doesn't know the source of the compulsion, but it's getting stronger by the day and he's desperate to feed it.
Daniel dreams to join the league. It needs all the assistance it can get, and only they can help satiate his hunger.
The story contains body-horror elements due to how the protagonist's power manifests.
The GameLit/Progression elements are gradual, and there are no stats in this story. The protagonist will enjoy occasional power upgrades as opposed to rapid growth like in other RR stories.
The story doesn't have any intended tragic elements but its a harsh reality and will sometimes edge towards the darker end of the spectrum.
Talia Redowl, daughter of the goddess Athena, expected - and definitely wanted - to work for her mother when she graduated. In particular, she was hoping to be assigned as an aide to her older sister, Danae, their mother’s Avatar.
So when Talia’s graduation assignment is to become the Avatar of Hades, the legendarily anti-social and brooding god of the Underworld, she protests…the position has gone unfilled for two thousand years. Why her? Why now? The Fates weave a tangled web, and more is at stake than Talia’s plans for her own future.
But before she can take up her new post, Talia Redowl must die.
Death is just the beginning…

The answer is actually yes, they usually do. They get married to the one they love, have kids, and then death takes them away.

They want to taste for adventure once more, feed their drive for exploration! Power, wealth, another life, they want it all. So, what do they do? Why, they do what Quasi does...
They sell themselves to the gods.
This story will contain 2 and 3-dimensional characters.

Gather all and I will tell you a story! A story of how a champion was summoned into the doomed realm of Ortho. Of how instead of a champion, they got a woman old enough to be your mother. And what happened after that?
I will tell you how the champion traveled into the Felorn Woods with her friends, in search of her lost youth.
And how instead of youth, what she found was Hell itself.
You don't believe me? Then go on and see for yourself.
But don't come crying to me if it was too much!

This is a story about the family we find for ourselves and embrace to face the dangers of a hostile world and how we are better for them.
Fair warning, this work is a first draft that I've put through Grammarly so expect me to add and change the story over time. I'll mention any significant changes in the notes of the latest chapters. If you spot a flaw, point it out, I'll address it. Same with any questions you may have, they will be answered.
Generally expect about two weeks between chapters. Sometimes I'm faster sometimes slower.
While the inheritor of a primordial power fights an endless war with the Elder, ancient beings whose origins predate existence itself, his children are sent out into the world in order to grow.
The sequel to The Void Wolf.
A/N: Reading The Void Wolf won't be necessary to understand the story but it may help.
Bastet did not curse at the heavens for his fate, but that is only because he knew that there was no one left up there to be damned. His father had told him many times of the voice from heavens that addressed all of humanity when it declared so. Nobody doubted whom it came from; the voice possessed such an absolute grandness that in comparison to it, everything else shrank to insignificance. Nobody doubted what it said; it was inconceivable that it could lie, for even if it did lie, it seemed natural to everyone that the world would keep rearranging itself until what it said became the truth. The voice proclaimed that it was leaving our world, and that the one who was most worthy would become the new Maker. It declared that such an honor would befall the greatest artist among us. Bastet used to think that it was tragically fitting, for only an artist would tirelessly keep causing him so much grief, finding beauty in it – although now he would not dare to make such a joke.
With the maker gone and no authority to uphold them, the laws of the world crumbled, and the land was swarmed with chaotic horrors, strange mysteries and magic. The absence of a juror only served to make the depraved more depraved, so it was inevitable that the new age would begin with more bloodshed than the previous one. War bred more war while the fields remained unharvested, and after many years, there were fewer mouths to feed, but also less food to do so.
This is the story of a man who sold his soul for a chance to undo the tragedy that befell him. Having lost his free will, Bastet must serve the ones who kliled his family. He must help them obtain the divine throne, and with it, the magic that would resurrect his loved ones.

She used to be a bright child. She was just not fortunate enough to have a normal life. Ill and bed-ridden, she slowly lost affect and cut herself off from outer reality, as her only joy was to construct a complex fantasy world. And eventually, she met her demise.
Nevertheless, her story did not end here. Who is to say that Death is our last path? For her, it was just the beginning. She had been given a second chance. Reborn as a Goddess in the very own world that she created, it was now only up to her to write her own story.
‘This time, let’s try to live normally.’
Warning: Slow Character Development, Frequent Hiatus
About the releases: Do not expect regular releases. I can no longer stick to a specific release schedule, so the chapters will be released once the entire arc is done, which implies long hiatus periods between arcs.
About the tags: Although there are game elements, there are absolutely not the focus of the story so this isn't exactly a LitRPG.
Good old Reality… A Game of Life, Death and Evolution. The oldest pastime in Existence, it entertained its audience for aeons. But what should the Creators do, now that the majority of Players got bored and wandered off to try out more recent games with more features and fewer restrictions?
Time for a reset, to start anew, and regain its old popularity.
What to do with all those mortal NPCs though? It would be quite a shame to just delete every single one of them, would it not?
This is the story of a stray mortal soul that got neither deleted nor recycled...
... but adopted?
I will add additional tags once they become relevant in later chapters.
- 'Reincarnation': this is a 'Continuous Reincarnation' story
- 'GameLit': light litRPG elements; no numbers, levels or experience points, though
- 'Genetically Engineered': in the sense of 'Guided Evolution'
- 'Gender Bender': Life#0 - undisclosed, human | Life#1 - female, non-human | Life#2 male, non-human

Aperio had been a slave for as long as she could remember. She toiled away in the palace of her masters, her body forced to obey, her mind no longer caring that she did. Her only joy was the small inconveniences an error in her work could bring, the resulting punishment a small price to pay. When the news came she was to be sacrificed in a grand ritual, she welcomed it—for most, death was a cause for grief and mourning, but for Aperio, it was her only way out.
However, during the final stages, something went wrong. Fate intervened, and Aperio found herself in a world she no longer knew, with powers beyond her wildest dreams. No longer a slave to the Empire, she set out to find her place in the world, and enjoy true freedom for the first time in her life.
Please do keep in mind that this story is a first draft and training exercise for me and, while I do try my best, mistakes will still be made. Writing in a foreign language is sometimes harder than you think.
