Set in the far future when humanity has reached the stars and finds it is not the first to do so. Alien technology has been left behind by a long dead race. Ancient cities, abandoned starships, temples and fortified bunkers all contain artefacts and devices far in advance of what humans have been able to produce. Technology that feels more akin to magic, so powerful it can allow a single person to dominate a star system. But these relics of another time have been left well-defended and behind bewildering and impenetrable security measures. 

There are those who are compatible with the alien technology, who can augment themselves to face the evermore extreme protocols in the depths of the alien ruins, and by doing so attain greater power. And there are those who just want to sell what they find to the highest bidder.

The rewards are high, but you have to be prepared to go further and risk more to discover the greatest secrets of a civilisation that vanished long before the first human walked upright. Secrets that could irrevocably change humanity's future, or end it.

Watch as this otherwise unremarkable gem awakens in one of the most resplendant places in Vol, an aptly named Mana Reef, and how it turns its simple hole in the ocean floor into something truly unique, all while the rest of the world is forced to deal with its growth.

This is my first venture into writing for fun, and I'm hoping to keep this running until I run out of juice. With that said, I very much enjoy dungeon core novels, and wanted to do one a bit outside the norm. Hope you enjoy!

What happens when a summoned hero completes their task given by those from up above? When a summoned hero returns back to earth after having saved the world, do they still get to live a normal life? 

The answer is actually yes, they usually do. They get married to the one they love, have kids, and then death takes them away. 

Of course, that is only usually. There are a select few who choose not to... think the same way. 

Some of them find such a life boring, dull even. 


They want to taste for adventure once more, feed their drive for exploration! Power, wealth, another life, they want it all. So, what do they do? Why, they do what Quasi does...

The world is a Dungeon. The Dungeon Core shattered long years ago in an event called the Splintering. The shards of the Core scattered across the world. The large ones formed mini Dungeons of their own. The smaller ones turned into Skill Shards.

The inhabitants of the world can fuse with Skill Shards to get skills. The shards can fuse into myriad Dungeons and mages at the pinnacle of magic have their own personal Dungeons. They are the Dungeon Mages.

Our MC travels back in time from the future and uses his knowledge to free humanity from the oppression of the other races.

Engineer reborn as a dungeon core in a fantasy world.

Ike was a hobbyist clockmaker and former aerospace engineer enjoying his retirement on a habitat station orbiting Saturn. Unfortunately, his hard-earned peace was disturbed by a rapid decompression event and his resulting death.

Contrary to his expectations, Ike found himself reincarnated as a handicapped and supposedly-man-eating dungeon core in a fantastic realm of wonder, magic, dragons, and wizards! Faced with a luckless start in this hostile new world, Ike will have to employ his new-found near-perfect recall of his past life experiences along with ingenuity to survive and manifest his ambitions while struggling with morality.

If you hate first-time writers, info-dumps, frequent and random off-topic science/technical explanations, a slow story pace, (somewhat slice-of-lifey) inner monologues, a relatively OP MC (not really), or unexpectedly technical jargon, then you probably won't enjoy Dungeon Engineer.

Also, and I find it crazy that I even have to mention this, the main character has morals and is an objectively 'good' person.

A dragon, severely injured from the wounds she suffered after being ambushed, returned home to the center of a volcano. Her injuries exposed the vast amount of aether within her which flowed out like blood from an open wound. All of this energy found its way into an ordinary rock – into me. Her aether turned me into a dungeon core that would convert the entire volcano and beyond into my territory, and that is only the beginning of my many legends.

This is a story about how I turned from a rock into a dungeon core and, eventually, into the most powerful being alive. Well, some might debate that last part, but they would be wrong. Probably. Yeah, definitely. Of course I’m the best!

Charles was an old man.  A widower.  Retired.  He spends his days watching old movies and waiting for his kids and grandkids to call.  And doing that is all he wanted to do in the short time he has left.

Then his long-time friend Bert, one of the last living ones he has, reaches out to offer him a chance to play a game.  A virtual reality simulation that could give him another way to spend time with his family.  So he seeks to find a place within the game, a place for his family to visit.

With a magic stick levels above what any starting player should have, Charles sets out on a journey to find the perfect place to entice his family to visit. But the game and the players have other ideas.  Set up as an NPC quest giver to some, and antagonist to others, how will Charles find his place and what will he have to do to get there?

Note:  I've received some feedback that people don't like the foul language.  This also included my mother, she wanted me to make a cleaner version for her.  So, I thought I might as well release it alongside the more explicit version.  I went back and rewrote the parts that have profanity in them.  ^_^7

Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull.

Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time?

Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours.

Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow?

I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.'

I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
