The world of Odyssey of Adventure was both simple and complicated, and many loved it for such a thing; Gillian was one of them: when Egosoft decided to hold a meeting with him in regards to future content, he was ecstatic, but the truth of such happenings was now lost, as was him.
When he was finally able to open his eyes of emerald stained with the blood of the many he had been charged to annihilate by the organisations hidden beneath the corporative and greedy Cabala territory, he heard the bell, twisted and ruinous, signalling the start of his odyssey, one that he didn't know how it was made to be in the first place, but that he decided to enjoy, now free of his bloody and devilish work.
An Endless Odyssey, perhaps, he wondered, a smile blooming on his face.
Notes from the fire:
Chapters will be published weekly whenever I actually manage to somehow keep a regular schedule like a normal person instead of a madman, with a variable length that will probably oscillate between "OK, not bad not bad" to "excuse my rudeness, but how many more words are in this? My eyes are melting," depending on inspiration, spirit and muses, not necessarily in that order and mayhaps influenced by the power of anime and videogames.
Take into account that all omitted details or slowly-dripped information are intentional; Endless Odyssey not being a mystery per se does not mean there won't be things hidden for you Royals to try and discover and/or rationalise.
Just like the aforementioned point, Endless Odyssey is not a comedy, a horror story or grimdark, but elements from these and many others will of course be present and developed as the story goes on. Prepare yourselves.
Formatting issues and things like that might happen in these early chapters, since it's the first time I'm writing on Royal Road, and I'm also experimenting with the LitRPG elements, which for your information, will be light and not a mathematician's wet dream [No offence to mathematicians into that kind of eroticism,] and possible other things that we'll see.
Regarding art, the majority of art pieces are temporal, and I will either make them myself [most probably through the use of certain programs and AI because I suck at painting] or pay someone to make them if things go well, as you can imagine; the idea is to have at least one piece per chapter.
I love making references, so keep your eyes peeled because there will be numberless lost through the pages, and it always makes me happy to see that they are caught by some hawkeye or sharpshooter reading along.
All of this said, I welcome you to the story, if you've decided to adventure into it after reading all of this. Have a good read, Royal.
