" Greetings! I'm Loki.....God of mischief and trickery....Wish to hear the tale of Kayle Shaw, a man forsaken by his own world and transported to another.... by me! A world of fantasy and magic unlike his original home. A world with elves, dwarves, demi-humans of all kinds and monsters that couldn't be described by words alone. Though upon entering into this new world our Hero quickly discovers everything was much less fairy tail like than he imagined. It's a world run by the strong and ruled by the corrupt. The weak live everyday in torment and slavery with no means of escape while the lands are constantly engulfed in war between guilds, kingdoms, and countries. Follow the man who would eventually flip this world on its head. Starting an orphanage and even establishing his own Kingdom of Shieldfriegan known now as the The Shield of the Weak. A man known by so many names he lost track of them all..... Beast from the East, God Slayer, The Divine Chef, and even for a brief time ' Vali the Reaper ' . But alas all this was only the beginning. This tale is the story ...of my champion."
PS. If you enjoy an OP MC in an even more OP world, you'll like this. Also I will hopefully clean and redo old chapters in time since my dialogue might not be great. I also enjoy doing other POV's, because half the fun of being OP in a new world is getting to see how everyone reacts about it.

While still a young child James was bought by the Sorceress Lauren. She told his desperate family that she was looking for an apprentice. In reality she recognized the great store of magical energy the young boy held and she desired to feed from him; and thus take his power for her own.
The local people had another name for the Sorceress; they called her the Swamp Witch and most were in fear of her though they all needed her potions to survive living on the edge of Drake's Swamp.
James would learn many things while being the slave of the Swamp Witch, many of them bad but his experiences would make him someone to be reckoned with.
When Jake is sentenced to a virtual world for crimes he definitely did commit, he finds that one bad decision puts him on a path he would never have picked for himself.
Virtual reality worlds have become the preferred way of disposing of excess people, and some of the worlds are better than others. Jake finds himself in the swords and sorcery world of Tarinath, living not as the warrior he would have preferred, but as a healer with little ability to do the damage he so wished he could.
A young man who's lived his everyday life with bitter pessimism suddenly gets his world turned upside down by what he calls, """"The world's most untimely apocalypse"""". Despite all the new dangers that came with this unexpected situation, he has so far managed to avoid death, ruin and whatever else the world decided to throw at him. Unexpected development after unexpected development, danger after danger, situation after situation, will he survive this **game** of life and death?
I will be posting a chapter a week. (No chapter this week 2/11/17)
I was asked about reading my work on other sites.
The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors.
If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed.
You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website.
The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf.
Transcendence? is a novel about reincarnation, love, hate and war.
And everything else that's included. It follows the main characters, as they climb to the top of their society. And lose their humanity in the process to become something beyond human.
It's settled in the same universe as Until death?. It can be seen as a prequel.
But I plan for it to be a stand alone book. Nobody has to read Until death? in order to enjoy Transcendence?.
There will be cool chapters, sad chapters, romantic chapters and funny chapters. Of course there will be boring chapters too. I believe that some explanation is necessary in every novel.
Though I hope that there will be more funny chapters. How a chapter turns out always depends on my mood.
As the system initializes, the world shifts. Geography is rearranged and mixed, and levels and stats are instituted across the globe. On that night, one young man was walking through an underground tunnel, his mind on the small problems of his easy life. Because of his location during the shift, he starts in a dungeon far above his level, with no knowledge or teacher, or Newbie Village to guide him. Without a class, he struggles simply to survive in this world changed by its new connection to the Nexus.
But struggle he will, for he is Randidly Ghosthound, and this is only how his legend begins...

This started as a way to destress and play with overly complicated stats systems and level systems, and I just kept writing. I don't really take it very seriously, but feel free to read and enjoy.

Sebastian only wanted one thing in life. A nice safe profession that let him stay behind the town's walls. His mother had other ideas, however. She insisted that he follow in his father's footsteps and become the town's greatest hunter, and as such she refused any and all apprenticeships he tried to secure. Sebastian's one solitary hope was that he possessed magic, and would be accepted into the Mage's Guild as a novice. Sometimes life gives you what you wish for, but in a way you never saw coming.
Leon and his father, Artorias, are the last remaining scions of a once powerful and illustrious family of lightning mages. After barely surviving an attack that destroyed their home fifteen years ago, they now live in the dangerous Northern Vales, a desolate wilderness far away from civilization. I have taken the WriTE Pledge, meaning that I will see this story to completion, no matter how many eons it may take.
A somewhat spoiled rich kid enters Royal Road to stalk his crush. Instead, he finds himself on a dark (read: fun) path that will inevitably lead him to becoming a Necromancer.
If this was a light novel, it would probably be called something like "Why Won't Those Adventurers Just Let Me Build In Peace?!"
Unfortunately, even though I have a cheat, my life isn't quite that charmed.
Herein are contained the chronicles of one very exasperated Dungeon Core, formerly a human of Planet Earth.
The future became a peaceful utopia in the Core Regions. No crime, no wars, no conflicts, even rude behavior is rare.
People became complacent and lazy.
The main character isn’t a hero or a typical protagonist. Calling him an… opportunist would be the least offensive probably. In this age, he’s sticking out like a sore thumb.
Who would notice a few shady happenings when crime is a foreign concept and there is nobody to catch you?
*Book 1 - Done.*
A notorious and devilish killer in the highest Divine Realms has failed in his attempt to assassinate a God Emperor, one of the four loftiest beings in the universe. Executed following the failed attempt, Ebon Dirge escapes to the Mortal Realms with only a fragment of his soul intact. Determined to finish the job, Dirge chooses an unconventional path to obtain a power that could even the odds: destiny.
The power of fortune that turns mortals into divine heroes, destiny is elusive and powerful, but Ebon Dirge possesses among his vast library of knowledge an obscure art that allows him to see those so empowered. Lacking allies, cultivation, and even a body, he must take a chance and forge a new path to seize destiny for himself before rising to confront his nemesis.
But none of this will come easily. To capture destiny, Dirge must use every trick in the book to pry it from the grasp of a variety of would-be heroes and legends. Succeed, and he may finally have his chance to finish the job; fail, and he will become a mere stepping stone for another. Devour destiny, or be devoured.
This work will have a minimum of 5 chapters per week, published on weekdays at 9:00 PM Pacific time. Usually, this carries through the weekends and occasionally multiple chapters will be posted in a single day; additional chapters are released at 9:00 AM Pacific time if they do happen.
This work is flagged as Mature for Gore and Traumatizing Content per the guidelines here; as a xuanhuan-derivative tale with a not-so-heroic protagonist, the reasons for this should be apparent without having to spoil anything. There are also sexually suggestive scenes, but nothing explicit, and the very occasional profanity does pop out.
A chimera slowly regains memories of its past life as a human in a nonmagical world. While he is in part James Borland, temp office worker who was on the verge of being converted to permanent, he is also a savage beast who gains strength by consuming flesh of various creatures.
The more he remembers, the larger the effect his old persona has on his actions, which is often at odds with his instincts as a beast that seeks only to consume prey to become stronger.
Note: Presently, I am pushing out chapters at a higher rate as I warm up for NaNoWriMo. Once November comes around and after, my rate will likely slow to once or twice a week, as I will be working on another project as well.

The story of a soul seeking new adventure in a new life. A secret wish to find some things he never really found in his old life. Will the universe have other ideas for him again? Warning: 18+ due to violence, language and sexual content Note: The story is complete. A/N: Since people seem to be skittish with the gender bender tag, I should probably mention that it does not play a particularily important part in the story. More in the beginning, less as the story goes on.
AI means Artificial Intelligence. But those words don't match Al, either of them. Neither Artificial, nor Intelligent. At least not at the beginning. No, an AI requires input, trial & error, and careful observation. But at that point, what makes it any different than human? How are binary choices any different than the choices in a human life.I wager that there is no difference. But what will he think?
James was in his 30's when his death came suddenly, not that he minded much, as life was seeming to drag on.
His story, however, did not end with his death.
As a point of fact, it had only just begun.
This will be my first work, so please by all means comment with any errors I may have made. Suggestions for the story (which may or may not be used). This is a litrpg and a bit of a power fantasy, so be warned the protagonist will be pretty OP eventually.
