A villain unlike any other is granted a body weak enough to be killed by the wind. But he will cause mayhem, no matter his size! Armed with skills allowing him to create more mosquitos which he can control and the ability to evolve and raise his stats, he will surely cause destruction never before seen! Though, as it turns out, living as a mosquito in a city might be a bit harder than previously thought. Especially so when super-heroes pop up out of nowhere.
In short, a villainous man who really wants to destroy everything and anything he can is turned into a mosquito by powers beyond him. His powers, being that of evolution and stat-increasing, combined with his power to create more mosquitos, will eventually lead to him becoming just like... a swarming mass of mosquitos.
Isekai reincarnated as a monster fic x villain in a superhero world fic
Ever wondered what would happen if a sarcastic, foul-mouthed ex-superhero found himself zapped across space and time to a world of swords and sorcery? So did I. Contains approx 5% swearing by volume.
(Books one and two are finished; further stories are in development. Long chapters: average chapter length is 6000 words).
It was an average day in Miami—then fractures in the sky appeared. A pulse from those cracks altered the population; some people's biology changed while others received magical and supernatural powers. After the chaos, the political drama ensued, followed by the discovery of portals that brought deadly creatures. They called this event "The Oscillation" and it changed Rachel's life forever.
Note: I've received some feedback that people don't like the foul language. This also included my mother, she wanted me to make a cleaner version for her. So, I thought I might as well release it alongside the more explicit version. I went back and rewrote the parts that have profanity in them. ^_^7
When you’ve seen as many catastrophes as I have, “disaster” becomes a relative term. Us perpetual kidnap victims get to hang our heads while waiting for the tights-wearing crowd to arrive.
I'm extra special. Why? Because my only real power is being kept alive by constantly attracting insane events. That's me. Adam. The wrong guy in the wrong place, every single time.
Sit back, grab your drink or drug of choice, and follow along as I hit some of the highlights.
We'll start with Ted, a reporter with a scheme of petty revenge. We'll meet Alice, a psychopath with personality problems whoses out to make babies or disemblowel me. I'm never sure. We'll watch me fail at being a glorified field trip supervisor for a powered collage.
There's a whole host of other heroes and villians along the way.
At the end of this story about me and those suffering my pressence, I'll end the world. Because that's the logical last step.

God has become tired of watching over our world. He has become tired of our meaningless conflicts and our penchant for self-destruction. We are a cursed race, destined for annihilation by our own hands. However, he cannot leave us without a designated successor and no other celestial being wishes to take his place. So, he is left with little option but to create his own successor.
Enter Anna Miller. Stay at home geek, occasional cosplayer, and comic enthusiast. She, out of everyone else in the world, is selected by God to take his place as the new shepherd of humanity.
She is given two rules.
1. Don't let the humans die.
2. Don't take over the world.
That's it. That's all. God then fucks off to have a vacation and she's left with the world to do with as she pleases. So, what does a stay at home geek, occasional cosplayer, and comic enthusiast do with her newly bestowed godlike powers?
"Well Superpowers, of course!"
God, please come back and help us all.
Status: This book is currently on Haitus and will return once my other story is complete.
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary.
After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens.
Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past.
As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it.
The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The first two years have been released as an ebook, receiving good reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.

WARNING: THIS STORY HAS A SLOW START. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
We all grew up hearing stories about heroes and villains, but what would we do if we were to be part of one?
One night, a bioweapon escaped from its laboratory in Zalcien, only to die in a dark alley.
One night, a young man lent a helping hand, only to die alone in the dark.
One night, a deity of death saw two lost souls and offered one a second chance in the other's body.
Now a strange creature made of darkness, James has to deal with his new form in a strange new world where superpowers, heroes and villains are commonplace, far away from his home. Watch as he learns how to use his powers, as he meets allies and enemies and how, when facing the paths of heroism and villainy, he chooses a third way somewhere in between.
Follow the story of James, a lost Earthling soul, as he becomes Silhouette, the mysterious power in the shadows.
Greetings fellow humans. This is my first story on Royal Road and my first long-term project written in English, so I do hope you will have some mercy in your heart when reading.
So, as you may have understood, this is a story with super-heroes - which is quite ironic for my first story considering all of the other ones planned are fantasy - and as such will take place in a modern-like setting.
Despite dark themes and gory scenes making their way into the story, it is still a super-hero world with the logic that matches, so expect characters to survive nuclear explosions without a scratch and yet to get defeated by a rubber ducky - as well as similar dark humor, thus the comedy part.
A super-intelligence is only limited by its ambition. If you could do anything, what would you do?
Megacles has a pretty good life. Also, she's horny, lonely, bored, anxious, and a bit of a drunk. She decides to fix all that with science. It works okay, until she accidentally builds a doomsday device. At least she’s not bored anymore.
This is a simple tale of love, hope, sex, rejection, revenge, secrets, extortion, thievery, dead billionaires, killer robots, space monkeys, mind control, superhot lasers, god-like power, and the destruction of the Earth. And drugs. Almost forgot the drugs.
Check out the reviews - people like it, maybe you will too. Or, just read Chapter 1. It's a good example of the book. If you like it, you're good to go.
Following what many people described as the 'Whispering of the Sirens', the entire world shifted ever so slightly. A dozen or so individuals through the world awakened unimaginable powers, beginning what would later be known as the 'Metahuman Revolution'.
Lilith, a woman who'd always thought of herself as a normal, down-to-earth kind of person, suddenly found herself caught up in all of the drama and changes. With the military wishing to pick her up and force her into becoming a supersoldier, the media obsessing over her, and the scientists salivating to get their hands on her, she really could use any help she could get.
Thankfully, while the world still didn't make much sense, at least she gained some sweet powers that could help her survive, if nothing else.
Callum is alone in the States applying for a job as an engineer when the world changes forever. In an event called the Emergence he is changed into a creature of legend known throughout many ancient cultures, the trickster fox. Follow Kalia as she descends into villainhood, becoming the greatest thief in Penrith city, outwitting heroes and villains alike!
This story has both Cuteness and Heartache, so if that's not your thing, I'm sorry :). Also contains the temporary death of a side character, which is apparently something I need to warn people about.
(Originally wrote this story on a different site, but I'm trying out royal road.)
Also, I should tell you that this is only one story of an expanded universe that my friends and I are writing in. There is two other stories currently being written, including one that will play an important role later on. We'll see if they upload here too.
In a future of robots and CRTs, Atlanta is the most powerful city in the world. And in that city, twentysomething slacker Morgan Harding dreams of being able to live a normal, peaceful life... until they're given cybernetic superpowers and forced to become a hero. Together with a mysterious sentient robot and an overworked college student, they must keep Atlanta safe from the technological threats that arise... pretty much constantly... Sigh.
ATL is divided into several novel or novella-sized stories, and the entire first season is online on Royal Road for you to gobble up like a robot filling up at a power socket.
And if you're itching for more, always know you can read the story at its official website too.

There's a side to superheroes they don't tell you, a side that in retrospect was too obvious to miss. Join Lyssa Unas, a girl with a seemingly weak power, as she searches, fights, and dissociates her way to a life where she could at least pretend to live in peace. But in a world full of capes, villains, and everything in between, that future may prove improbable.
There are superheroes in this story, but this is not a superhero story.

Aiden Neve, a CEO of a construction company wakes up inside an Attack Ball that is headed on a course straight back to earth, and it only gets stranger from there. Updates every Friday.
The Omnipocalypse was every apocalypse humans ever imagined all happening at once, zombies, plagues, nukes, EMPs, Robot uprisings. Not just the earth either, It happened to every World ever dreamed up by men too: heaven, hell, and every other afterlife or spirit world ended, plus the worlds of books and stories bled into reality. It all broke apart and either; became new places on the chaotic Earth or part of the even messier spirit world. Magic beasts mutated by radiation, Robots mastering Magic, the mixture of everything made the horrors... well, more horrible.
Omega; A young Woman with few memories wakes to find she has spent 2500 years in stasis, in a basement of scientific horrors. Creatures and Things that could supposedly destroy the world if ever let free. Horrors of which she was the last to get free. Rather then Quest for world domination or destruction; Omega keeps getting drawn into a protective role over other orphans, lost monsters, and broken AIs. So she decides to build something to help all her little monster family be safe.
This story is meant to be a behind the scenes look at stories about kids solving problems that should be beyond them. I always wanted to see a story about Professor Oak, Dumbledore, or any other mentor who trains the main characters. I like the idea of someone looking at the apocalyptic world and deciding to make it safe enough that a small child can wander off and make some monster their pet. The pokemon games have fun systems to consider the behind the scenes workings of, like what training a team rocket member goes through to become a villain cut out for children to defeat. how they prevent a deific pokemon from accidentally murdering some little rat with its immense psionic power.
However, the story itself is not really meant to be a pokemon parody, I draw inspiration from every genre of fiction, any type of game, this story is the only one I plan of ever writing without a clear cut ending planned, I love the infinite storytelling capacity of things like Doctor who's TARDIS, the Stargate or Rick's portal gun. In this case, I wanted the setting itself to be one where any and every story might happen.

Having survived the destruction of his own earth, Kim Hooper now resides on an earth similar to his old one. But there is one large difference. Armed only with the mysterious system-like power that saved him from his old world, he sets out to stop this earth from falling into the same fate that his old one did.
Heavily inspired by 'The Novel's Extra' at first.

Reader beware this is a rough draft and that means that the grammar is going to be ...spotty. I will go back and edit chapters at a later date. I am working on getting a better editing program. If you spot grammar errors don't be shy and tell me. It might take a while for me to fix it as I am busy writing and working my full-time job. I promise you I will fix it though and I deeply appreciate those who point out errors that I can fix.
Updating every Monday.

Sweet Fist was a joke. He has no superpowers. He was merely a guy with some martial arts who dress up in a costume with a candy theme. He said stupid things like 'Sweet Dreams' and 'Choco Punch' when fighting and was an embrassment to the supervillain community. He has just been released after spending twenty years in prison.
Now he got a System, and the System informed the villain that he had many kids and even some grandchildren. The System want the villain to reunite with his family. Failure means death. Only one problem; Sweet Fist never knew he had kids. How was a bad guy supposed to reunite with a family he never knew existed?
