A story that I intend to be a journey of one (or more) characters as the story unfolds, within a world similar to ours in some aspects, but essentially different. This novel will have some elements of progression at times.
I plan to update this novel every Friday if I get a good feedback.
This is my first novel. English is my second language and I will do my best to write well, so your feedback is precious to me!
So im new to writing and have a few problems in the head but I've taken up writing as a hobby and to get better, this story is so I can get better as I was still around 7 to 8th ish grade when I got out of high school... after being held back two years. This is a story in a world I made for a tabletop campaign that has aspects and take inspiration from many of my favorite fictions.

For the reader
This is planned to be a series with a weekly release.(I hope!) More or less 3k words per chapter.
The set up is in a flintlock fantasy/steampunk world. YA with mild violence, no cursing and no sex content.
Katashi Ryuji, a 17-year-old above average japanese male, with sharp piercing eyes, a defined build, and an ocean of pent up violence goes about a regular day of a highschool student, when suddenly, a dark red huge humanoid monster appears out of a crack in space that formed in his classroom. When a game like status screen appears in his vision, a wicked smile forms on his face as his astute and villainous true personallity shows. He unsheaths two concealed O'tanto's from his backpack, and puts them in a reverse grip before dashing at the red skinned monster that's massacring his classmates. Killing the monster with minor difficulty and gaining the 'First Slayer' title, Ryuji finds he can grow stronger by killing monsters, so he does just that. Watch and follow as Katashi Ryuji walks the path of blood and strength.
What John Travers loves more than anything is doing what's right. There isn't a barn raising, volunteer harvest, or short handed ranch he hasn't been to. When folks need help, he's the first man there, last man out. Patient and kind to a fault, John lets a lot slide, earning him the reputation of being a bit "yellow."
Even a good man has his limits.
When Frankie 'Gore' Wilson, outlaw and all around slime ball, sets his sights on Val Combs, the woman John's sweet on, he puts his foot down. As a novice gunslinger at best, he never stood a chance at taking Wilson down. In his final moments, the Reaper comes for John with an offer.
The world is out of balance, people are dying before they should and outliving their fate. John can die as he has, prematurely, or, he can live out the rest of his destined days, so long as he collects bounty on those outside of the natural order. John agrees, in the name of Justice.
HARVEST! BUILD! DESTROY!
Total war until annihilation.
This is the story of the end of the human race. If it sounds like fun it’s because it is.
The Saga relates the events and personal histories of the men of the 3rd Marine Space Expeditionary Force and their bitter MAXWAR (mutually assured eXtinction war) against the alien Krag Subjugation.
Told from the view point of the warfighters on the front lines, the blue collar workers who build and maintain the infrastructure that supports them, and the scientists and engineers who develop the technologies that power their victories on the battlefield.
This mission, The Maggot Colony, relates the first part of the adventure, where their capital ship, The Good Shepherd, is critically damaged, and a small force is sent to establish an outpost on the surface of a nearby planet to secure much needed emergency supplies and fuel.
The situation is desperate, the fighting is brutal and the technical challenges both in space and on the planet surface seem insurmountable.
Fans who enjoy the intellectual challenges and intricate storylines from real-time-strategy games such as Starcraft II or the pure destructive awesomeness of first person shooters such as Doom, Halo and Gears of War are encouraged to check out the Space Marines.
It’s not for everyone, but it might be just what you are looking for.
Best of luck in choosing your next read, and if you don’t pick the Saga of the Space Marines today please consider us next time because reading great stories is time well spent.
See you in the comment section everybody!
"I want to take everything away from him, like how he took everything away from me." Revenge. That's the only thing that Lis wanted. "So please, teach me how to be stronger. Strong enough to beat a God."
Magic is a fickle thing. Rarely does it flow in the blood of humans, but when it did— they became blinded by their hubris, and caused a long term suffering for those who were weaker than them.
Lis was one of those who were weak. He's been driven to death by his fellow humans who wished to call themselves as 'Gods', and yet he survived.
So now he only asks for one thing. Strength. The ability to fight back. And the power to end the era of suffering for people like him.
• • • • • • •
A fight against Gods, a fight to learn the mysteries of magic, and a fight for the people they will soon meet on their journey.
So, somehow you found yourself here, listening to me. Well, I know what you're here for and I'll have you know, there is nothing that can convince me to join epic battles or go on exciting adventures just for your sick entertainment.
...Actually, I wouldn’t mind an adventure, maybe just observing one, though. Ahh yeah, watching an adventure from a thousand feet away. Preferably a thousand feet in the air.
Oh god don't get me started. Flying. We could talk for ages about my dream to fly. And I will make sure tat is all I do, even if this is the most mundane, boring, and monotonous experience you have ever had. Nothing, and I mean nothing you say will convince me to go be stupid just for your amusement. Unless… ok, I might take a tiny risk for the [Flight] Skill, but don’t get used to that, got it?
Join Leo as he travels the great big world of Seia in pursuit of his lifelong dream, flying. As quite an intellectual person, he has no interest in joining the deadly race to power of this world. Whether that's physical power made so accessible by the System or the ever-present power of fame and politics, Leo aims to stay quite far away.
Slow Experience gain as a child and a poor family life left Leo to grow up on his own, but if he refuses to accept power, will he be able to accomplish his goals?
Some unknown mixture of science and magic has left you a spectator to Leo's thoughts. When he comes across important decisions, you are sometimes able to make his choice for him. Will you use this power to help him achieve his goal, or drive him down a path with no way back?
Playing The Midas Game will make you rich in real life, and a superhero in the game, or at least that’s what Jason’s grandfather tells him.
Jason doesn’t know how to tell the old man that he’s been scammed out of his life savings…until Jason is stunned by the realization that maybe there is something to the game, and it’s not a con after all.
In real life, Jason starts as a struggling teacher in debt, while in The Midas Game he begins as a street bum in 1920’s New York City, with a gorilla mayor, Houdini, Rocky Marciano, speakeasies, bombshell redheads in tight skirts, and the Graf Zeppelin drifting overhead. With a watch to indicate his progress, Jason works his way up, fighting to earn wealth, loot, gorgeous women, and hero status in both the game and real life.
The story begins in the spirit realm, a magical world with an abundant energy called "spiritual energy" that permeates the world, this energy allows the races of the world to transcend their limits and become beings that wield godly powers and have no match. However this world is cruel and unforgiving where justice is but a distant dream that the weak have.
In this world, when a baby is born besides the name that their parents give them, a "True name" is manifested in the form of a tattoo in the chest of the baby, this is a rule without exceptions or so it should be. It is said that a "True name" is the gift that the Gods gave to the races of this world to allow them to absorp spiritual energy, so in the case where a baby is born with no "True name" not only it is said that they can't absorb spiritual energy but they are also hated by the gods and even cursed, because of this, most of the time these babies don't make past their first day as they are killed by their own families and those who do make it, are persecuted for the rest of their life. They are given the name of Innominatus meaning those with no name.
Our protagonist Lucien is one of these cases, he was born to the Stein family, a noble and powerful family who didn't doubt for a second to throw him away after he was born with no name, follow him as he fights his destiny and discovers the truth about the so called "curse" of being a innominatus .
Sol, a young boy grows up in the slums knowing nothing of the world but the smell of piss, shit, and decayed corpses. He escapes from the depth of the abyss, a world with no past nor future, only to find that darkness reigns over reality, a reality he must now step into. A reality where he will experience endless deaths and wars, no different from his previous life in the slums, only much, much worse.
Yet despite the blood, carnage, and horrifying life of death and killing, an ethereal girl makes him pause. The fragrance that comes from an innocent but brave girl, caught up in this never-ending hellhole. The hellhole he had also been enslaved by. For the first time, he stops and questions.
He questions the purpose of his burdens. He questions for whom he struggles. He questions what he has been doing his life. His heart and mind feel heavy with the events he’s witnessed unfold before him. He falls upon the earth and looks up to the sky, asking a silent question to the gods high above, "What is my purpose? Why must I suffer!"
A bold detective struggles to find the truth about missing people. Trying to find clarity in bizarre cases. Only to be plunged into a dangerous game, where everything is not what it seems. He'll fight for his life and truth.
Inspired by the SCP Foundation.
Note: This is my first story, so expect some mistakes in both grammar and storytelling.

Reborn as a weak and helpless goblin with no remorse, and with no memory of who he was, Grim embarks on a journey to rise to the top of the food chain within the forest that he calls his home.
He has nothing, not even the memories of what he once was, what he does have though is the understanding of that creature, he recognizes that he may not have been smart, but compared to all the other green skinss around him? It's the difference between child and adult.
Between bashing sticks and making children, all the other goblins rob, raid, and pillage. But never negotiate.
But he's about to change that.
Because he's no mere goblin. He recognizes that at least.
The main character is a goblin that's mostly going to have to go to war, that means that his tribe has to reproduce to replace casualties.
Graphics depictions of violence.

It seems that I died while I was playing VR Skyr*m. The next thing I knew, I was standing in front of the middle-aged man who called himself The Overlord of Dremora and Dragons. He told me they were releasing Skyr*m: Real-Life Edition. However, you have to be dead first to play it, and I was chosen as a 'beta tester' of sorts. I found myself in a semi-realistic (thanks to mods) world, and I want to have fun and relax for the rest of my life, and maybe get back to Earth. There's just a small *RAWR* problem.
Setting: This happens within the world in The Legend of the Fake Hero, specifically two arcs from now.
About: I am writing this for fun as a side project. I intend this to be semi-interactive as I will have polls where readers can influence the book's direction. I have the final say because I believe that too many cooks in the kitchen are not a good thing. The plan is to write it in parts that are around 1000 words. Typically around every 4 to 8 parts, they will be combined into a finalized chapter and re-edited for a smoother read.
Release schedule: When I feel like it. I'll be more inclined to write if there is more interaction, both in comments and polls, towards the story. However, I will be focusing on The Legend of the Fake Hero because that is something I own entirely and enjoy.
Disclaimer: This work falls under fair use as it is a partial parity, does not affect the value of the original work, is an original story within the setting (within my setting), and is not being sold. All IP belongs to their respective owners (including myself).

Six months ago, Aiden's girlfriend Cassandra went missing into the night. No matter how hard or how far the police and her family looked, no one was able to find her. Soon, people wondered if she didn't want to be found and stopped looking despite his protests. She had believed in him and listened to every crazy story about faeries and any tale he told about his family's "gifts".
Desperate for answers, the eighteen-year-old enlists the help of his sisters in finding out what happened to Cassandra. Avery, a warm-hearted redhead who has a natural affinity with animals and people. And their younger sister Posy, the bitchy but family-oriented baby of the three with a knack for finding the unnatural. With their "gifts" at their side, they are on a warpath to find Cassandra before she turns up in a body bag.
A story of love, death, loss, and fairy dust. Chasing Circe focuses on the triplets Aiden, Avery, and Posy as they struggled to save someone they care for from a world only they can communicate with. Trigger Warning the story is more horror-based than fantasy as the faeries in this story are violent and vengeful.
