Theoretically, reaching the point where no one could progress was impossible.
Unfortunately, the theory was wrong. Everything reached a point of stasis. Stars still burned and worlds still rotated around them, but no intelligent beings strove to excel - or even to survive.
Except one - and all he did was exist. There was no reason for him to do more.
Eventually, Order’s Voice found a way out. If the only existing being would agree to give up most of his power, the Voice could reset the multiverse to an earlier time. Of course, the Voice couldn't ask it that way. It could only ask if the Final Reaper was willing to start over from when Earth was first brought into Order.
There were many things - many abilities - that were simply too much a part of the Final Reaper to be removed from him, even sent back in time. Order's Voice was not made to remove ability, after all. It wouldn’t be fitting to have the Voice's greatest success die from too much power for his mortal body to handle, so he needed a stronger body. If he truly objected, well, the Voice would leave a way out. Not that the Voice was going to tell the Final Reaper anything about it. That would be pointless - and impossible.
When he landed in his old body - more or less - on Earth, the Final Reaper once again became Thomas. He was both and neither. He needed a new name for a new life, and the Tutorial was the perfect place for a new name.
A note on the nonhuman lead tag: He isn't human, and hasn't been human for a very, very long time (or maybe not long at all, depending on how you count it). He still thinks of himself as human, either way.
The content warnings are mostly to give me room to write; this fiction is not intended to be edgy, but once in a while a character will swear or someone will get seriously injured.
The cover image is a Chandra/Hubble composite image of VV 340 / Arp 302 / UGC 9618. While we're not going to space any time soon in the story, people from elsewhere are coming to Earth - so it seemed appropriate. Plus, I like space imagery.
Jonathan always dreamed of living life beyond the humdrum constraints of modern civilization. After his untimely death, he'll have that chance... but it's up to him whether it turns out to be a dream or a nightmare.
Jonathan was reborn into a world of interstellar civilization. A world of fantastic abilities. A world of great danger. A world where enormous mecha are the king of the battlefield.
To become the king of mech pilots, Johnathan must climb to the top, step by step.
Across the world of Aster Fall, there are unique classes, but not all of them can be trained. They require quests and accomplishments that simply don't exist in the world. Some say the World Law itself is broken and that the world is falling apart.
In comes Sam Hastern.
His family has been cursed by one of these classes for the last fifty years. No one has ever managed to level it, condemning them to the lowest paying jobs and life in a barren village.
The class is called Battlefield Reclaimer.
There's one more little problem.
Sam's about to have it even worse, when a dungeon exploration leaves him looking distinctly non-human.
*In this work, you'll find leveling, crafting, experience-based progression, rare classes, evolving classes, and strange races.
The world runs on mana crystals, beast cores, spirit veins, alchemical pills, and enchantments. The environment is hostile and filled with monsters and elemental storms.
**Updates: I'll try to do thirty chapters in thirty days, so for the whole month of July. Let's see if I make it!
**Seven advance chapters are up on Patreon for you, as well as a Discord link. I'll add more as possible.
X-Com meets Final Fantasy VII meets Left 4 Dead

5 chapters a week (M-F)
Average Chapter Length:
Explosions, followed by segments of character building and interpersonal relationships, followed by more explosions. Not every chapter will be about combat missions, but I'll try to keep the non-combat chapters relevant to character growth.
Video Game Homages:
My world and setting are heavily inspired by Final Fantasy VII, with a large corporation of questionable morals and a big round city which is simultaneously futuristic and old-fashioned. Hallowed, my super soldiers, are similar to SOLDIERS from Final Fantasy VII as well, right down to their superhuman strength and softly glowing eyes.
The primary antagonists, Mutes, are similar to the "fast" zombies and tanks you fight in Left 4 Dead, though there's definitely some necromorph (Dead Space) inspiration as well, and a fighting style reminiscent of genestealers (40k).
My battle scenes are usually squad-based battles against scattered groups of Mutes in urban environments, similar to the normal missions in X-Com: Enemy Unknown. I've also added casualty reports after each mission for my own entertainment.
Finally, you'll likely stumble across some Easter Eggs. I apologize in advance.
I don't have my own Discord and will likely not be creating one (mainly due to sheer laziness) but if you'd like to hit me up on the Aethon Author discord, you can find me (and many other authors!) hanging out there.
This is not the first time Blanc’s been summoned to an Isekai. It’s not even the fifth, or the tenth, and by now, he’s seen nearly everything. Backstabbing Mages, Surprisingly Sane Demon Lords, Misunderstood Evil Villains, Plotting Princesses….not only is it boring, it’s exhausting!
His latest destination is the land of Excelsia, but the System seems to have updated recently. His progress? Gone. His Skills? Vanished! His Hero Class? Completely wiped from existence.
And yet, maybe the new Ultra-Rare "Butler" class that Blanc has been bestowed with has some hidden tricks after all? All Blanc knows is that he has a job to do, and Butlerdom is a lot more complex than he might have imagined.
It begins as a usual isekai story.
No, wait. It's worse. It's otome isekai. And I'm the villain.
Of course, there must be some kind of cheat to make up for it. It's that kind of story.
And my cheat is... being a shoggoth. Which apparently includes being a genius with setting up all sorts of production. Because "engineered to be universal labor" backstory for that race, I surmise.
So... Screw it, full steam ahead. Let`s see what I can make out of this world and it's ikebana-based magic.
(This is a mirror. Original was posted at https://www.scribblehub.com/series/117113/isekaid-shoggoth/ - I do hope to catch up the mirror to original in a couple days)
Dirty synposis: The MC bashes skulls and gains levels and overthinks small things. He becomes a knight.
Synposis: An ordinary twenty-something human male undergoes the test of his life as he gets thrown into the Tutorial without any warning, learning to survive by any means possible with his sense for danger in a world where those who proved trustworthy were rarely competent, and those who proved competent were dangerous.
Trusting his instincts, Marcello braves each new increasingly perilous test of survival as he slowly discovers that he himself was far from ordinary.
5 chapters per week.
College dropout Josh Craven has bills to pay and he's down to his last dollar. Out of nowhere, he gets a notification for a job posting urgently seeking a Systems Tester. He's in no way qualified, but as the saying goes: fake it 'til you make it.
He lies on his CV and manages to land a permanent position at the company. Now he's travelling across the galaxy testing Systems for alien worlds and making big bucks doing it. All is fun and games, until he learns about Project New Earth.
As with every new System, it must begin with an apocalypse.
Josh has a dilemma: should he just accept it and let billions of people die, or try to stop the project and deprive Earthers of a cool new System? Either way, he'll have to deal with the mystery man—or woman—pulling all the strings: the Director.
What to expect:
- stats will start appearing in Chapter
- the MC will get to experience many Systems, which means the game screens, skills, etc. will change depending on which world he is in
- the story is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, but also has a good amount of conflict in the modern world
Release schedule: Tue/Thu/Sat (no set time), sometimes an extra chapter on other days. So basically 3-4 chapters a week.
Enjoy and follow for updates. Thanks!
This story is also posted on spacebattles.
(Disclaimer, this is a work in progress that I am going back and fixing/editing chapters that were written when I was just doing this more for fun rather than worrying about the quality. I never thought I'd get 100 views let alone thousands. Please bear with me.)
What remains when hope is extinguished?
What stands when justice is smothered?
What endures when the world burns?
The all consuming inferno.
Rageborn is a Litrpg System Apocalypse that is told through the eyes of Grayson Towers. Gray quickly finds himself in more trouble than he can handle, and he may or may not... be going insane. So what if he talks to himself right. Right? Although, there is one thing they can't take away from him, the fire burning inside his chest.
He died of old age, surrounded by not people but machines built by his own hands. Join him as he reawakens in a fantasy world, once again, trying his best to reach his dream.
A different person molded by his new surrounding, Adrin had to adapt to survive. The journey towards it would be slow as he had to start from the bottom and build everything from scratch. He had to adapt to using unfamiliar tools to recreate the things he had built, or using science to get ahead.
The world, however, wouldn’t open a path for him to travel. Monsters big and small, people kind and cruel would stand in his way whether he liked it or not.
English is not my first language.
For young adults (light adult content, not romance focused).
A remake/revamp of an original story.
It will take a while before pieces are put together.
My name is Kyra Baker, I’m 20 years old and a university student, and recently I’ve been offered a scholarship to a definitely-not-shady magical academy. A ‘support device’ I was given shows me a list of classes I can take, all involving mana, magic, and Skills with a capital S.
To get there I was lumped into a ship full of strange and alien creatures, jumping between worlds as we pick up more and more hapless ‘students’. Things were starting to make a little sense, until the ship crashed into an alien world.
Now, I might be getting trained as a rebel soldier, or something?
Looking on the bright side, I haven’t gotten this much exercise in a long time and there are plenty of cute girls around. When I develop some Skills and work on my classes, maybe I’ll become strong enough to actually have the time to flirt with them.

Many dream of waking up in a new body filled with potential. However, most ignore the trauma that may follow.
Evernya learned this lesson firsthand when she awakened in a hospital bed alone. Her panic only escalated when she discovered her body wasn’t quite human, as feline ears perched atop her head while a long velvet soft tail sprouted from her tailbone. If her new appendages weren’t traumatizing enough, a storm brewed within her, threatening to explode at any moment.
Follow Evernya as she struggles her way through her new life meeting new friends and foes on her quest for true freedom.
I plan to post daily for the first 35 chapters before dropping down to 4 to 5 a week.
Chapter length 2k to 4k words.
A modern-day young woman somehow gets trapped on an alien planet, transformed into an amalgam of human and something more. With no way home and all the survival skills of an average upper-middle-class shut-in, how will she possibly survive let alone find a way home? Turns out, she needs to learn how to help herself... figuratively and very, very literally.
Evelyn, meet Evelyn. You're going to do great things together.
It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'.
So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something?
This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.
Chapters target 3k~ words, I'm trying to keep it manageable and frequent. Though I'm aiming for a chapter per week, things will likely be tumultous at the start here as I get into a proper rythm.
When an accident causes the early death of two young women, one is chosen to become a hero, a saviour, and a servant of the God of Heroes!
This is not her story. This is the story of Valeria, whose soul clung to her friend’s, and who was dragged into a new world where her wandering spirit was claimed by the Goddess of Darkness.
And so, one who doesn’t belong grows to become the servant of the Dark Goddess, a servant—definitely not a daughter—who will usher in a new age of despair and disgust.
The only problem is, she’s really bad at the whole “evil” thing, not that she’s unwilling to do her best to please her adoptive mom, the Dark Goddess Luciana.
Gardener? A support class? This can't be! What was all my hard work for?
Forget this world. Forget the System. Even if I'm a lowly support class, I'll take on the Tower and take them all down!
Since the System appeared one hundred years ago, humanity has been divided into three: combat classes, intellectual classes, and support classes. Assigned at the moment of high school graduation, one's class determines their future.
Rowan wanted the most out of life. A combat class, an intellectual class, either would be fine. When he is instead assigned a support class, Gardener, he notices the System is completely rigged against support classes. Refusing to give up on his dream of realizing his future by his own terms, Rowan challenges the Tower, the seat of the System and home of the Hero-King, in hopes of bringing the entire System to its knees.
-Rowan is not perfect. He's got flaws, emotions, and personal issues to work through. If you want a perfect, overpowered MC who makes the right decision every time, this is NOT the work for you.
-No harem, no rape, no isekai, no romance
-Questions? Please ask!
An old soul starts yet another journey. This time, though, it’s far away from home.
He’s been around pretty much since forever. Literally.
He had thought the cycle would last until the end of times. It didn’t.
Now, he must face a new world he knows nothing of, which isn’t quite new. Fortunately, there seems to be magic. Unfortunately, despite being strangely familiar, the System’s unbearable.
Please mind the tags!
The main character is no amoral monster, but he definitely leans closer to chaotic-neutral rather than good, i.e. if you're not okay with a selfish MC, the story might not be up to your liking. Also, consider that 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not overpowered from the very beginning.
The Eternal Lion, Conqueror of the 98th floor, Lord of Destruction watched in horror as his companions were slain, one by one. Humanity had made a fundamental mistake in assumption from the beginning, for this was no fair trial.
His rage knew no bounds, but alas it was to no avail. The only reason he still drew breath was because of a being stronger than even God offering him his twisted pity, making him watch as his companions, his sworn comrades, were slain one by one in front of him as a punishment for daring to affront Him.
He only saw one final glimmer of hope to overturn this accursed outcome, which lay in the reward for completing the hidden piece on the 98th floor.
Allow your knowledge and experience to flow back in the river of time, back to the beginning of the Primordial Tower's awakening on Earth. Entrust the fate of humanity to one of your kind.
Cost of Activation: Erasure of existence from the river of time.
To think that all his efforts would only lead to becoming a stepping stone for another. With a final roar in defiance, he activated the skill.
"Let the roar of the eternal lion tear through the boundaries of time."
Get ready for one hell of an adventure. Now do it all over again!
Follow Noah Smith's journey, a young man struggling to find a job in a sluggish economy, as his life gets overturned and the fate of the world is suddenly thrust upon his shoulders! One opportunity to change his very perception of reality, will Noah rise to the occasion and give Earth the savior it needs, or will he watch from the sidelines as it heads to damnation?
Sometimes, an ant can see what the mighty lion, in hubris, overlook.

In the empire of Orinthian, Fallon Gaumond, a young Warlock, is determined to be free from her father’s controlling demands and become a Sentinel. At her side, cloaked in shadows, is her Dementher familiar, Asmodeus, who is equally committed to seeing the Warlock grow to reach her full potential. But dealing with her overly hungry companion while keeping her secret, illegal visits to Highguard’s city dungeon hidden is the least of Fallon’s problems. As a Praeditus, she is expected to serve alongside her father and the rest of Highguard’s Praefecti to resolve the growing problem of refugees fleeing an adversary even the strongest Sentinel dare not face alone. The Gates which strike Orinthian with ever-growing frequency and pour upon these war-hardened cities merciless invading hordes of monsters from other dimensions who seek to pillage, burn, and slaughter everything that stands in their way.
Please Note this is my first attempt at a litRPG. I also ask that you keep an open mind as I will be diverging, in my own way, from many of the litRPG stories I have read. I should also mention that this will get crunchy as far as numbers go and please pay attention to the Profanity tag.
A LitRPG and Epic Fantasy adventure:
The son of a mafia boss finds himself abruptly plunged into an alternate world where he must find a way to survive the horrors of a realm called Oblivion, make pacts with demons, form unnatural friendships, and figure out what the hell is going on – all while dealing with the depressing reality of his past.
An artificial intelligence has ascended into godhood and has thrown Trey’s home into Chaos, pulling millions of people into an enchanted new life... or, in Trey's case, a violent nightmare. As far as he can tell, he is locked into what the system prompts call a ‘Death Game.’ Here, artificial reality is manufactured for the enjoyment of a being called the All Spirit, and he has a very real chance of truly dying. Just how real is this place though? Is it merely a simulation, a realistic game of life and death… or is it something much more?
Elves, dwarves, undead, and other races only thought to exist in fairy tales are now a reality. Black magics, pantheons of gods at odds with one another, predatory symbiotes, and an unholy calling, the significance of which he has yet to grasp, are all entangled with his fate.
Some things to expect when reading this book:
- Brutal storyline where no character is safe and choices have real consequences. Heavy on action, survival, and adventure
- An isekai. The main character struggles to find himself, repeatedly crossing the line between good and evil as other important characters influence his life
- Harem (explicit), though this only starts about 180k words in and isn't the primary focus of the book
- Good amounts of crafting, town building, and guild building later on
- Good amounts of fantasy-related LitRPG stats, rank ups, and evolutions. Heavy focus on demons and black magics
- There will be many points of view, but there is only one primary/main character that takes up 90% of the POV
- A long storyline. Currently (as of 7/26/2021) I have about 1500k words written, though much of it will have to be heavily edited and re-written. I also plan to go far beyond 1500k words if people like the story
- Chapters will have an average of about 4k-5k words, though there will be exceptions for more and less
- I intend to stick with this story and not start another
Dungeons are probably amongst the strangest creatures in the world, creating vast labyrinths and wonders to explore. This is the story of one such dungeon as he makes his first shaky steps into the world, and all of the horror and majesty he will bring in to the world.
(This is my first fiction and I would appreciate any constructive criticism)
Note: Litrpg elements start around chapter nine, and the story is a little slow at first.
Realse Schedule: weekly on Fridays
This is the story of an older man who lived a hard but full life, being reincarnated into a fantasy world as a human-lizard hybrid. The new world is violent, magic is real, a game-like development system crushes physics and natural law under its ambivalent thumb, and myth and legend don't just meet, they chase you down to eat you.
Follow Braza as he tries to make a very different life for himself in a familiar but ultimately alien world. In this story the protaginist will not just be a muscle bound monster. He is not a proper hero, willing to sacrifice himself for the good of a stranger, but neither is he a maniacal villain. He is trying to survive, and he is trying to give himself and those he deems himself responsible for a seat at the table of the"goodly", the "civilized" races. He is trying to create a secure home for his people, to arrange beneficial trade agreements, explore ancient ruins, decipher ancient runes, push the boundaries of magic to create a better life for everyone around him, to learn about the history of the world and the multiverse, and ultimately attempt to become powerful enough to take on a being that even the gods themselves fear.
This is my first story and it blends many different elements and styles. It's a bit darker than most of what I have read on Royal Road, but even with that, I hope you give it a try, and I hope you like it!
Key Witts wanted to become a world class Mage. Fighting for his life, his lover, and his friends, he dreamt of joining a top class Magic Guild and earning his fame and fortune—with maybe a few stories and songs written about him along the way.
…So why has it been two years of failure with a third looming overhead?
After being rejected by every guild during Selection Day, Key's only real option at adventure is through becoming a Freelance Mage. And with his mentor being the enigmatic and mysterious Kit, who knows what he might end up getting himself into?
Fame? More like Notoriety. Money? He’s totally broke. Perhaps becoming an adventurer wasn’t all he’d hyped it up to be after all.
He’s not noble, strong, or popular—
But at least his story has cute girls.
Join Key as he learns about magic, swordsmanship, farming, and kicking balls.
Story updates will come Wednesday and Friday.

The Earth of the future is united under a single government, but not all things are well. The shape of the playing field may be changed, but the powerful still rule the weak.
And those who do not conform with the rest of society are exiled to another world. A world that not even the technology of the future managed to tame.
It should have been humanity's New World but ended up as nothing more than a penal colony. A place where the exiled are sent to die.
Motivated by revenge, Magnus sets out on a quest to bring his own justice to his enemies. For that purpose, he is willing to go further than most others.
But then he learns that if he truly wishes to change things, he can only find his answers beyond the gate.
Having lived most of her life as an exile, Astra is a woman of few interests aside from survival and climbing the ranks of her clan.
To achieve those goals, she certainly won't be squeamish when a chance to achieve those goals literally falls into her lap, or will she?
I am trying to go with a survival/medieval setting in this one. People from a technologically advanced society are thrown into a world where they can't maintain their tech. They are forced to rely on medieval technology where they have to make do with the limited resources they have and what little of their old technology is still working. Their gene manipulation allows them to have something akin to superpowers, but that doesn't help much against the monsters of their new world. Not sure yet whether sufficiently advanced technology will be discovered later on to count as magic.
I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)
A clandestine organisation that leverages the best and brightest humanity has to offer to defend against threats to our reality.
JD Rideout is a washed-up writer with the best years of his career behind him. His kids are the only thing keeping him going, and he only has them half the time.
Book One: Bleeding Edge
When JD wakes up on a tropical island in the middle of the Whitsundays, chained to the ceiling, he knows something is very wrong. He feels like a character in one of his novels.
He soon finds out that he’s been chosen to fight for the fate of the world. Those who fight for EDGE Force gain access to the ability to level up and gain powerful abilities to help them fight against threats to our reality.
JD is given a pistol and an axe, along with a new callsign: Hatchet.
As Hatchet, he’s tasked with fighting back against a shadowy cult that has reappeared after 15 years. But fighting the cult isn’t the only thing that drives Hatchet forward. These cultists use the essence of an Old God to reshape reality into whatever their imaginations can bring forth.
Uprooted and forced to fight for the fate of the world, Hatchet is the planet Earth’s last line of defence.

Soon enough, that chance arrives.
The people of a remote settlement on the Transylvanian Plateau disappear overnight. This tiny village nestled at the base of the southern Carpathians yields more questions than answers.
Donning the moniker Hatchet once again, JD has to learn how to work as part of a team to fight back against another threat to humanity.
But this time he’s ready.
The world is gone. Mother nature has been taken advantage of one too many times and now she's fighting back. Rather than trying to heal their broken planet, humanity decides to take a more fantastical route.

Picking his skillset around living off the land, Ambrose enters the Norsege Isles with dreams of enjoying the world for what it used to be.
Dangerous creatures lurk in the woods of the Isles, fearsome beasts that'll rip any human or Norseman to shreds if given the chance. Ambrose will have to learn how to tame the Isles' animals if he wants to have a hope of living his dream as a farmer of unexplored wilderness. He'll also have to deal with any pesky people that decide that he's easy pickings.
Will Ambrose make it long enough to harvest his first crops, or will the pressure become too much to bear? Join Ambrose as he strives to live his life in the new world.
A planet can only take so much abuse before it fights back, and with some help it does just that. Unfortunately this spell's serious trouble for the inhabitants of said planet. Join Aiden on his journey as he wakes up to this new reality. Watch Aiden and those who join him as they struggle for survival in this newly "Awakened" world which has danger and adventure in equal measure.

Gifted with the power of the unique Spellthief class, which allows him to absorb spells cast against him and cast them back at his foes, he quickly learns to fight back.
Logan finds few allies, shunned by adventurers who see spellcasters as poor party members, but his progress does not go unnoticed. As he finds the personal strength to fend off wolves and goblins he also attracts the attention of evil magi eager to steal his powers. As he scrambles to find a way back home, will he even choose to do so? Or will he be seduced by the power of magic?
Chapters have an average of 3,500~ words. New chapters every Friday at 6pm BST. This work is only posted on Royal Road. Cover image by JiiBee.
Han Xuhan gets screwed in an over the top manner during his rebirth and ends up in a scary world full of mysteries. After a series of misfortunes, he comes to realize that despite his timid nature, he's a bit of an adrenaline junkie, as well as a guy with "mad, evil scientist" potential.
So he just decides to screw it and have a good time by listening to his true calling and starts exploring the secrets of the universe he's been thrown in.
Author's note- some things to take note of if you're about to start reading this. This is a very slow paced story that will probably stretch to a thousand chapters. The first few volumes will be lighthearted and slice-of-lifey with more character development and lowbrow comic moments. The serious cultivation and philosophical aspects will follow in the later volumes. The main theme for now is comedy, schemes and exploring mysteries. I just want to write a cultivation novel where the mc won't depend on his op cheats for cultivation techniques and treasures and instead create his own unique style of cultivation.
I was given a one-a-trillion chance opportunity to reincarnate into a fantasy world by a god. The actual chances are probably even lower — I mean, how would you even calculate the chances of being in my frankly ridiculous situation? In any case, the deal we made seemed pretty good; at least hope so, seeing as I’ve forgotten most of it along with the memories of my past life.
Now, I’m a baby bird monster in a world with magic. I can see my Status as if I were an RPG character. And running with the RPG theme, my main Quest in this world is to become its strongest entity or titular God. I have a couple thousand years to do it or else the laws of reality itself will erase my existence.
But, hey. That’s exactly what I signed up for, right?
In the world of Nova multiples of differing races exist such as elves, humans and beastmen. Now however thanks to the Dark God a new species is coming to fruition, dungeon cores.
Join Frost a first generation dungeon core as he embarks on a grand adventure to carve his place within this massive world.
How will the current residents react to his birth, will they be friends or foes and how will the Light God react to this new addition to the world, will he accept them or seek to destroy them.
Release rate will be 5 chapters per week every weekday between 7pm and 9pm BST
chapter length is between 2000 and 2500 words
This is my first attempt at writing a novel so please leave comments and or reviews to help me improve.
Few things to help clarify before you read
Many people have stopped reading the novel, both on web novel and royal road after the first few chapters mainly due to the MC and FMC quirks and they leave comments detailing as such. I would like if you could give the novel a chance, read at least the first dozen or so chapters before casting judgement as the quirks of the MC are rounded off as he develops (less cheesy). If after that you still don't find it to your taste, fair enough.
An Isekai-Oriented LitRPG lite, Game of Thrones type (HBO version) set in alternate-Italy during the Renaissance.
Warning! This story contains strong sexual themes. Most of it is incidental sexy stuff as opposed to romantic. There is also some sexual violence and themes of revenge and trauma. Romantic sex may show up, but this story doesn't revolve around it.
I'll probably write some bonus interlude chapters with the misadventures of the succubus' harem, a secret organization of spies and sexy assassins. Anyway! Since you have been warned, if you don't like sexy stuff, please just skip over that. I'll post warnings at the beginning of those chapters. Or, if it really offends you, please move on to another fiction but don't post anything bad or rate us down, please. Nyah! :P
Moments after being born, the cambion began to grow at an alarming rate and everyone wanted to kill him. He knew there was much he had forgotten... he had a life before. He longed to remember it, but the memory eluded him. Truly, this was a fantasy world of might and magic, but it felt familiar somehow. At any rate, the first priority is to survive. And that meant finding something to eat...
Re: Now I'm a Demon, So What? is a story about an outworlder main character, who (as of this moment) discovers he absorbs the powers and aspect of that which he consumes through his devour ability. There are a number of other interesting characters you get to meet as the political landscape is unveiled.
Bonus! You are encouraged to post comments regarding what you would like to see show up in future chapters! I would like this fiction to be shaped in large part by reader input, so please don't be shy!
Thanks for reading this and hope to get to know you through the comments!
Elven Knight gets reincarnated as a spider.
Trying my hands on litRPG
It will have many of the same themes as my other story (GL, Fluff/Romance, Slice-of-Life, Progression)
Pacing may slow down at certain points and probably in the future so be warned.
The picture obviously isn't mine. If the creator wants me to take it down, I will. I'm actively looking for an artist to commission a piece of art I'll be able to call my own. Until then, I'd like to have this as reference material at most.
Believe me, I feel dirty...

Alisa Veyara worked her entire life towards earning a place at the elite, prestigious Renand Grand Academy of Higher Magic, mastering the intricacies of delicate powerscript and eager to learn the deepest secrets of what could be done.
She definitely did not want to spend her school year responsible for raising a baby dragon, conscripted into an elite foreign war force by a tyrant conqueror. Alas, events conspire against her. Her formerly idyllic life takes a turn for the worse, her ambitions crushed and her plans thrown into chaos.
Not every calling is asked for; not every destiny is expected. But sometimes even the most reluctant of heroes has the potential to change the world.

Kandis Hammond is a perfectly ordinary junior financial research analyst in a prominant Sydney trading firm. When she is transported to another world she is left naked and alone with the enigmatic System her only tool. Unsuited to physical combat, she will have to rely on her wits and charm to survive and find out the reason behind her abduction.
Using Australian (ie: British) spelling, so sorry if it looks weird. Proofreading gratefully accepted, but keep that in mind.
"The War of Fog is over. Every major city is under occupation. Now we prepare to take back our home."
- Unknown Soldier
The world's great heroes have slaughtered one another for the ideals of their countries, but the world keeps moving.
The industrious nation of Ikesia lays still smoldering from the nigh-apocalyptic War of Fog, yet it stubbornly forges onward, shielded from further invasion by the impenetrable Blackwall. Its leader - the Sage of Fog - has disappeared, yet his influence is still felt everywhere, his plans and contingencies still in motion - even the Blackwall is said to be his last, desperate creation.
New heroes have begun rising from the war of fog, and there is more need for them than ever. A towering foreigner has emerged from the desolate Exclusion Zone.
She strides into the war-torn country without the intent to pick sides, but is soon forced to do so when the machinations of malevolent others collide with her own ego.
Born into prestige and gifted with talent, Pascal was a promising officer cadet whose deeds caught even the King's gaze. At the mere age of twenty, he had everything a young, ambitious man could need to begin a promising career.
Except his habitual arrogance had destroyed every opportunity of a close friendship outside his political marriage.
Seeking a companion who meets his protracted list of requirements, Pascal decided to craft the 'perfect spell' for the upcoming familiar ceremony. If those around him were not fit to accompany his genius, then he would summon a best friend through his own hands -- one that was mature, intelligent, knowledgeable, bright, and cute as well.
He received far more than he bargained for... and in turn, so did the shifting geopolitical power balance of his world.
[ Note: if you've seen previous versions of this story, see foreword in 1st chapter for how this relates to the older versions. ]
This is not a power-fantasy or a 'feel-good' story. If you feel that a protagonist should never lack agency (especially in early story) or make compromises due to difficult circumstances, then this fiction is probably not for you.
Daybreak is a story that delves deep into real world sociological/psychological subjects and explores many topics of gray morality. I wrote it because I like stories that makes me think more about the world around us, not to detach myself from reality.
Some things you can expect include:
- [Ruling Class]: political drama, geopolitical/geoeconomic strategy
- [High Fantasy]: how magic changes the sociotechnological evolution of civilization
- [Genderbender]: exploration of gender identity, gender role, and discussion of social expectations
- [Progression]: career capital accumulation and rank ladder-climbing
- [War and Military]: massive battles featuring in-depth planning, combined arms, and operational logistics
This story is primarily hosted on my blog, where all the art/map assets can be found as well as the latest chapters.

Heroes aren’t to be trusted. They aren’t to be revered, or to be praised. They are to be feared, no matter the good they do, or the justice they seem to embody. Because it’s all a lie, a fabrication to make you believe that Heroes exist.
Heroes don’t exist, only humans. And there is no scarier monster than a human with a ‘link’.
Yet, what happens when someone tries to be a hero? A real, true hero—fighting to protect the world from those of their own who wantonly dominate and rule? Can a world, betrayed so thoroughly, ever truly want to be saved?
This is a Superhero Fantasy story, set in a world that fears those called Linked. This story is also reminiscent of others in the genre like Worm by Wildblow.
Nowadays, I call myself Cat, short for Catherine. I usually don’t use her full name for reasons that will become clear soon enough. It’s been a few months since I became her and I’m still adapting to my new reality. Being in someone else’s shoes, especially someone with a life so complicated as her, was a challenge. One I must overcome or perish. I finally accepted there is no way to go back to my old life.
Yes, old life. I was named William Cooper when I first came into being. I was 30 years old and about to marry when Catherine accidentally killed me. This is the story of how I became her and beyond. How Catherine was reinvented.
I guess I should start on the day of my fateful and forceful meeting with Catherine. I apologize for talking about myself in the third person, but I’ll try to keep this narrative impersonal. Trust me, my head nowadays is a huge mess and 100% too crowded.

Dr Uru'Nav Xant, Department Head of Research, has been detailing his interviews with the newly discovered 'Creator level' intelligent species 'Human'. The Subject of his study, Jasmine, displays many unique and interesting quirks, the most intriguing of which is the incredibly strong 'frequency' she is able to produce with the help of an implanted alien translator. Together the pair navigate their way through cultural misunderstandings, corporate politics, animal companionship and uncover the mysterious circumstances of the human's abduction.
Combining memorable characters, exquisite world-building and an exhilarating pace, Transcripts is an emotional read that will have you ready to take on the universe!

Kevin was just a normal 10 year old kid until he saw a woman vanish right before his eyes.
This made Kevin just a little bit different. He paid more attention to people now.
Little did he know that this little difference would kill him the next time he encountered another alien about to return home. It would tear him apart, cell by cell, until he was unmade. His mind being transported away.
So distantly far away there is a race that advanced to the point where they built dyson spheres to house their civilizations. In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores.
Imagine a computer powered by a star.
Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn’t age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives.
Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth’s hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens.
When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core.
As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core.
Where money itself is the highest form of their science.
This is a work in progress. Major editing will be done after the book is complete, so there will be typos and parts that need further explanation. Please, please feel free to point out any of these things. I will attempt to keep readers apprised of all changes and big updates.
