Michael has a few problems... besides being dead... ish...
He finds himself in a new world. In a new body.
But with a few more appendages than he is used to and the concept of near immortality facing him, he is having a rather hard time coping. Luckily, the body's ex-tenant is there to help.
(Should have started here first. The story is being updated and revised. There will be several chapters added and Revelations will be incorperated into it as well. Revelations will then be removed.)
In 2016, Earth was invaded by the Rithenal Empire, a multispecies empire encompassing over a dozen star systems. Because of Sol System being at a strategic juncture of warp gates, if one could conquer the system, they would gain a great advantage over the other powers in this arm of the galaxy. Unfortunately for the Rithenalese, humankind was not so powerless as one might expect. Previous invasions had left their mark, even if the general public didn't know about them. The explosion of a Krax Imperial warship over Siberia in 1908 gave humankind mutant abilities, while the capture of a Ross'Ell science vessel in 1947 greatly advanced our technology. While governments fell to the surprise attack, a resistance was formed. One member of the Resistance was feared above all others by the Rithenalese. An assassin who conjured mists that no living thing emerged from, they began calling him the Mistwalker. To the humans, they knew him as a thief and assassin called Iceblade. This is his story. ----------------------------------------------------- The setting is a world of superheroes and sci-fi, and our main character who may not be the most powerful out there, but is willing to do whatever it takes to win. No matter the cost. This is my first story, and something I'm writing in my free time, so updates will be sporadic, but I won't drop this project without letting you know. Rated R: Definite language, violence, gore, (maybe) sex, and all the horrible things that can happen in the world. There's a bunch of tags because I haven't decided where this will go just yet.
This story is a continuation of the events that took place in Followers of The Way.
Follow the adventures of a few as they impact the lives of the many. The brave deeds of many, affecting the continuing lives of the few.
Follow the birth and death of heroes, villains, legends, myths, deities and worlds seen through the eyes of the few, some even mortal living fleeting futile lives destined for the cold kiss of death.
Shawn Bradshaw has made a desperate gamble. To save his life he risked it all in an attempt to become digitized. Knowing almost nothing about the greater Digital community or if he will be allowed to join, how Digital existence is experienced, or even if he will be relegated to a Digital zoo.
Shawn's success in obtaining immortality is but the start of his journey. Thrust into the kingdom of Loson's political intrigue, friends become enemies, allies manipulate and control, Shawn must decide how much assistance he is willing to let his allies provide and if he wants to count them as enemies instead.
Oblivious and ignorant of the culture, manipulated, reveling in his new found freedom even as he is chained socially, Shawn must decide on his long term goals and what he is willing to give up to achieve them.
The Immortal Wizard must decide what kind of legend he will leave behind.

The story of a girl who finds her life is not what she wanted. So she gets another one.
Schedule: Story has been completed.
Book One is available free on Amazon and EPUB.
Books Two to Five are out now. Final Book out soon.
Chapters will be around 500-1000 words. This will not change so if you don't like reading very short chapters wait till the end of the week or even end of the month. This many chapters a week isn't easy to pull off so please bear that in mind.
This is a VRMMORPG story, but the ones I've read tend to use VR as an excuse to get into a fantasy world and then don't really play up the game aspect other than pulling up a status screen every now and then. To me, MMOs are about more than the fantasy setting.
Bugs, exploits, devs who don't understand their own game, OP classes, over the top nerfs, p2w, ridiculous RNG, cash shop fiasco, lockboxes, raging players, broken mechanics, limited bag space, tedious crafting and above all that, a company trying to squeeze money out if its playerbase while pretending they're just in the business of having fun.
Of course, then there's the orcs and elves.
This story is about finding yourself in a completely immersive fantasy game, but it's also about what a game like that would really be like.
Elysium Ling is a returnee. She’s been to an alternate world, coerced into fighting their wars, and somehow returned alive.
Now, 13 years later, she finds herself again taken to a foreign world – this time, by her own choice. Not the same world that she returned from, but a foreign world nonetheless. There, struggling in an unknown world, utterly alone, she has a chance encounter with a young lady with a lovely voice. An encounter which would spark a chain of events that would irrevocably shape the world around them.
That young lady’s name is Rosalind. This is her story.

Notes on Relation to Lily Ex Machina
While this story is intended to be a sequel to my first work, Lily Ex Machina (LxM), I will be writing it in a manner that does not require readers to have read LxM to understand it. While having read LxM will likely enhance your enjoyment of this work(I hope), I am intending for this story to be able to stand on its own legs. As such, certain worldbuilding elements that I have expanded upon in LxM will likely be repeated in Seeking Elysium(SEly). As such, for newcomers, it should not be an issue to follow this story without prior knowledge of LxM. On the other hand, for my returning readers, I do beg your forgiveness for forcing you to read through stuff you already know. I’ll do my best to try and make it interesting, but no guarantees of success, I’m afraid.
On the other hand, if you’re a newcomer to this series and enjoy SEly, I do hope you’ll take the time to read Lily Ex Machina as well, if only to get more information of the backstories of some characters.
I will only post completed volumes on RRL; if you would like to follow the story while it is ongoing, you may do so at my website. I update twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Supporters on my Patreon get access to chapters a day earlier.
Most stories are about accidental heroes, people who save the world without even meaning to, but not this one. There was once a person with a name Kirin. He was tired of people looking at him with admiration and trying to win his favour. He hated them for making him act nicely all the time and testing his patience every day. So, when he finally got the newly come out game called Regal Dream, he entered without a dream to become the strongest of them all. He didn't want a legend shared with many. He wanted one of his own.
I was a normal pupil and lived my daily live with school and light novels as well as a couple of games. I often had the dream of forsaking my world and living in a new world with magic and monster. And after a normal day it happened.... Well yeah, hi this is my first story and I´m extremely inexperienced, so please help me with suggestions in the comment section. The MC is going to be OP and will have a few screws loose. He is not good, but will do good deeds, if he sees them necessary. The story will have sexual contents in booth ways(normal and lesbian) and there will be violence(torture, gore, slave abuse and so on). The inspiration for this story lies in many, many other stories. For example Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku, Tate No Yuusha No Nariagari, Mondaiji-tachi ga isekai kara kuru soudesu yo and many others.
In a world of magic, ruled by many warring races, the human kingdoms are being pushed to the brink of collapse. In a desperate bid to gain the strength to stand on an equal footing with the other nations, they perform a forbidden ritual to summon combat slaves from another dimension.
Unluckily for them, Mors Letus, recently named by their world's God of Death, was one of them.
**** Warning ****
This is a re-release (The Summoned) of the first book I wrote in partnership with my brother (who later forced the story to be pulled (It was released on his account here)).
I have started writing my own version of the story (BOM: The Summoned) and will continue to primarily invest in that, though, now I have permission to re-release this one, I plan finish this as I have the drafts and it was close to the end of the first book.
Many characters/scenes and events match/Will match BOM: The Summoned, especially in future arc's (Past Flatner forest). If you don't like spoilers, don't want to get confused between the two stories or hate first attempts at writing (god awful grammar/sentence structure and storytelling), I would advise against reading.
The Life: Illusion is my attempt to bring popular crime genre video games into LitRPG, by blending them into a role playing format that adheres to the main themes and feeling of play that said games center around. My main points of inspiration for the crime game aspects are Grand Theft Auto and Payday, but a smattering of other crime games have been influential as well. The RPG elements arise mostly from EVE: Online and various role playing games in the Elder Scrolls series. Again, other RPGs have been influential here, but it would be impossible to list all of them. The games I have listed are simply the primary impetus of inspiration for this project, and as such, it is my hope that recognizable elements will be clear and evident throughout. Crime and Police film and television have also played a large role in the inspiration process, of course.
The story itself centers around a new player in an already established game. No big hoorah about the biggest baddest newest game. This character is wearing floaties while swimming with sharks. There is a real life element, but beyond the first chapter (establishing the world and main characters) I do attempt to keep the RL bits short and sweet. I am also avoiding the trope of a runaway or emergent AI. The machinery in my story works as intended. This will be an action adventure romp centering on the main plot of a small group of players attempting to stop an overly powerful guild from taking over the game server. We don't always need to be saving the world, a single city/server will suffice this time. It is also my intention to create a three part series from this story, but each book will be a single self sustained story and I will never engage in the literary crime of a cliffhanger. (PUNS!) Oh yeah, and no harems.
I am looking for creative feedback and will always welcome nitpicks, criticisms, and even just questions. Thank you for reading my project, and I sincerely hope you enjoy The Life: Illusion. Oh, I also am hoping to adhere to a schedule of one chapter per week, with the new chapters being posted on Mondays. (This has changed to friday afternoons) I mean, don't hate me when I run out, but theres a good few months before that's a worry and I'm writing more literally every night.
Final note: This book is now complete. I will be editing it and publishing sometime later this year. I'll try and keep everyone posted here when I do. Thank you all so much for everything, this has been a great ride.
More than a generation had passed since the creation of a new type of weapon, one that outclassed anything else, but the creator put limits on the technology to prevent it from being used in aggressive combat. With the powerful humanoid weapons, rigs, there to stop battles from breaking out, new ways of taking land had to be developed. That led to the sport of rig combat; powerful weapons pitted against each other with countries betting land and resources on the outcome.
But it wasn't just the machines and pilots that competed; the workers that ensured the rigs were able to fight had battles of their own. A mechanist's fight begins before the first shot is fired and their minds are their best weapons.
The third millennia, a time of change and evolution. An era, where people, through countless generations, have evolved strange powers and abilities.
Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some refused to change or adapt. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society.
Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin, will herald a new era for all Magikind.
A story of how man could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries.
Disclaimer: Chapters will be edited once the first volume is done. Bear the beginning for the time being, and hopefully you can see my writing improving over time (I've learnt a lot on how to write because of this (though I'm still not perfect :P))

PS. If you find the 'notes' too boring or too info-dumpy, feel free to skip them and just read the main chapters. They're there for the reader to understand Gin's world (written in the perspective of Gin). But later on, we can see some interactions between the main characters and the occasional references to his past in the notes, so it has its purpose.
An Everlasting. A title given to those who have reached a state closest to godhood. Be it through might and power or through love and compassion. These beings hold great influence over the realms.

Given a recommendation by his master, Asura ventures out to broaden his horizons and to learn magic. Follow Asura’s journey and his quest to reach Everlastinghood.
Comment by the author:
Looking at the chapter list, you might have noticed Volume 1 is not there. The reason is that it’s in the process of being published so I’m somewhat restricted in where and how I can post it.
The first volume is now officially on sale. It is no longer possible to get the first volume for free. I am sorry but it was free for a long time and it was time for it.
However if you like to support me you can find th first volume here on Amazon (getBook.at/TheEverlasting)
Compared to other stories on Royal Road this one is faster paced. No artificial extensions of the story by spending forever in generic constructs, like random ranking tournaments, that don’t really matter for the overall plot. That’s the plan anyway. Volumes consist roughly of 30-35k words.
Additionally: I am not a native speaker, nor have I had any formal education in the English language. I am trying very hard to improve myself. If you want to help me by proofreading my story, shoot me a PM and we’ll see if we can arrange something. Other than my thanks and fake internet points I can’t offer anything, though. Yeah, poor student here…
Hey the story is officially ended if i ever decide to continue it will be on another date. The ending is open for anyone to use their imagination. Thank you all for the support. I hope we could meet later in the Everlasting II.

I created the cover using Adobe Illustrator.

There are men and there are monsters and there are creatures that are neither William "Billy" Maddoc is a young man who's neither here nor there. An ordinary, boring, absolutely, unremarkable person, in a world of Magic and Demons and Gods. A young man who simply wishes to spend his days in relative peace. Larry was a med student on the verge of graduation when he is transported to another Earth. After losing what he loves the most, will he prove to this new world that those who keep death at the gates can also usher him inside unexpectedly?
This is my first story and it has no editor, so please keep that in mind. It is only 14 chapters, so probably expect it to be finished posting after a week or so.
A man gets thrown into an alternate world after what was supposed to a harrowing escape from death. Follow him as he uses his knowledge from his previous life of research to adapt and survive in a place that is void of human contact, only to find out later how absurdly ridiculous his abilities are. Journey alongside this man as he attempts to change the new world for a better place, to turn it into one that he loves. PS, it will follow the reincarnation template very closely in the beginning (what do u expect? this is RRL), but will deviate from it as the story progress Warning: Crude language
