Two siblings, a boy and girl, have always spent their time in the ocean. They are merfolk, rather than mermaids: they’re tailless. Their time is spent vaguely, and their neighbors are mysterious.
Unlike most oceans, they are in some enclosed environment. Why? They’ll never know.
But things get too much for them. What’ll they decide on?
When Rocket gets lost in the Multiverse, he found himself in an alien planet scavenging for spare parts he could use to repair his ship. He was guided by a smiling cat, who called himself Cheshire, along the mysterious world and Rocket intended to keep their relationship casual. However there was something about the feline that drew Rocket close to him and as he stayed longer, he discovered that there was something else going on inside the planet and its beings.
Being Rocket, he couldn't care less about the planet or the cat until the mysteries were slowly hinting that he and Cheshire might have a shared past.

Andrew and his friends, Isaac, Lisbeth, and Cameron meet a shady man on the way home from school. This man promises them adventure on another world, called Calorin, if they are willing to help him with an experiment. Thanks to some peer pressure Andrew reluctantly agrees to join the experiment. The friends are soon on their way to Calorin but Andrew notices feelings coming from the bracelet, ones that want nothing to do with the strange man. It is just before they arrive at their destination that the bracelet changes everything for Andrew and he finds himself separated from his friends and the strange man. Stuck in the middle of a forest Andrew will need to find out where he is, how to find his friends, and why the bracelet has been acting the way it has.
This story is a sidequel/prequel to Artifice: Tools of the Gods. As it only has one or two connected characters there is no need to read one or the other to understand them.

Imagine the hurt of every insult, the pain of every punch, and the anger of every injustice you’ve ever suffered never going away. That’s the curse of a photographic memory.
Oh, but I’ve figured out a way to make them all go away. Make it so they never happened in the first place. It’s taken most of my life, but at last I’ll be free. Time can indeed heal all wounds, you just have to know how to use it.
