The Year is 2150, Chicago is ruled by the elite, upper class, and everybody is monitored by government surveillance.
Desirae Abernathy is the daughter of a rich congressman who wants all personal and extracurricular augmentations outlawed. In a world of technology, this type of ideology can taint a family name and put hit markers on anybody who wears it proudly. Luckily for Desirae, that type of respect is not in her blood.
After a streak of rebellious involvement with minor illegal activities, Desirae finds herself involved with a notorious gangbanger that wants to use her for her father's database of sensitive intel. What was once a relatively innocent exchange turns into a life of stealing, murder, and personal advancements that will turn Desirae’s life on its side.
When she dives into the infamous gang, WiredSec, and explores her options as a street criminal, she finds issues within politics, within herself, and war hidden beyond the artificial neural network that could mean the end of her and everything she has ever known.
Book 1 is now complete. Book 2 being posted.
Frank is on his way to his D&D game when he gets caught up in a meth head's convenience store robbery.
While trying to escape he is shot in the back at close range and everything goes black. When he wakes up he's not in a hospital or the afterlife—he's in a different city entirely, one called San Tadeo.
Things are different in San Tadeo. Frank has a status sheet, and he can see people's names and jobs just by looking at them (unless they're walking in Shadow). Even more than in the real world, Cash Rules Everything.
With his real life behind him and his only friend a high-school weed dealer, Frank has the freedom to make new choices and set new goals. What does he want? He wants it all.
If you've always wanted a Gamelit set in a GTA-style world, here you go.
Schedule: Back to releasing new chapters. Not a lot extra banked, but going to try to do 3/week. We'll see how it goes.
Everyone knows that magic is real, that it's the driving force behind the evolution society has gone through over the past few thousand years.
Everyone gets annoyed by faeries that steal your socks, or swap your car for a carriage, or coat all your food with salt. Because things like that don't matter enough to hide.
Everyone learns about Hitler, the darkest necromancer ever known, who singlehandedly waged war on the rest of the world, in school, and the other similar events in history. Because they were too large to hide.
But for everything else, the veil hides the magic from the mundane. There might be an unlicenced werewolf working as your librarian. Maybe a dragon owns your local banking chain. Maybe the murder victim who was killed in a locked room WAS killed by an angry ghost. Or a shapeshifter. Or the elder Fae. Or a rogue Wizard.
The solution? Everyone knows the answer to that too. The one thing every police department in the world has in common. The Wizard Division.
The L.A.W.D. (Los Angeles Wizard Division) is in for one hell of a ride, when Charlie, a new trainee foisted into the world of magic joins their ranks, and with him a whole host of new and unusual magic sheananigans comes to Los Angeles. Updates twice weekly. Make sure to follow for more updates.
My Trans-Dimensional, Overpowered Protagonist, Harem Comedy is Wrong, as Expected. (Oregairu/Danmachi)
Summary: Hikigaya Hachiman, shortly after an odd Valentine's day, finds himself in a new world filled with magic, monsters, and gods. Though he knows not how he got there, he knows that the only way back to his home is through the Dungeon. Armed with a few tricks, a wholly unnatural affinity for magic, and his own, self-serving mindset, he just might manage to achieve his goal. Well, if he ever manages to get a party.
Note: Once got uploaded here by another person (using my title) this is the official release and will be updated after everything has been posted.
Chester is called into work early when tragedy strikes and a bored Freya, Goddess of Love and War, takes an interest in him. Propelling him into an awkward adventure as a woman in a magical world.
I suggest you read a few of the reviews; they do a better job than I of telling you what you're getting into; even the harsh ones.
I do hope you give it a shot regardless of the Gender Bender tag. My MC isn't some amazing OP murder hobo but rather just a guy trying to live, adjust, and hopefully eventually thrive in a new world while saddled with a support class. That said he/she still has violent moments.
For those of you that don't read the story tags, this story is a Gender Bender. If the themes generally involved in Bender's are not your thing, please kindly refrain from reading this story and ruining it, and my drive to write it in the first place, for others. I do however try to keep my stories realistic, so a lot of the themes are significantly muted so far.
Fair warning, I'm a discovery writer and this work is a first draft that I've put through Grammarly and Hemingway editor, so expect me to add and tighten aspects of the story over time as I work to make it clearer and add to the setting and characters. I'll likely take larger breaks after each arch to facilitate this. It's also me learning the art of writing, so I apologize for all the growing pains.
Releases will be when I can get to them and based on my construction work. Summers are busier than winters. So expect less from me from May to Sept. I can't guarantee a day for releases. Work sometimes has lots of overtime.
Cheers and I hope you enjoy my story in its current form.

Being born a slave is unquestionably one of the most monstrous situations a person can find themselves in. Being reborn into the body and memories of a child slave abused and killed by her peers is something one step further.
Thrust into an alien world with magic and science bound together and maintaining the social hierarchies of aristocracy, Li Mei had one more go at life, a brilliant shining opportunity.
Burdened by a lifetime and a half of experience with the worst kinds of people, filled with an overwhelming desire for freedom, and granted a generous user interface, Li Mei will not just wreak havoc upon her murderers.
They will call her ‘villainous’, but they can’t comprehend her drive to take vengeance one step further than was even wrought upon her.
The ancient city-state of Sorcererstown, the world’s capital of magic where the most legendary wizards, warlocks, and royal mages learned their secret craft was nothing like what the Stranger expected it to be.
Not a sorcerer has drawn breath there in years, only sorceresses fill the Great Schools of Magic and the petty squabbling between them has grown into full-blown war with the money vaults, spellbooks and armories thrown open to call and empower the best mercenaries, cutthroats and killers from all corners of the map and blast anyone unfortunate enough to get caught in the middle.
That middle is where the Stranger decides is the best place to ply his own unique set of skills in a daring plan to make pawns of the powers that be and reach an endgame opposed to all other factions in town.
But with the arcane arts being thrown around like sling stones, suspicions running high with everyone from the new hires to the headmistresses of the Great Schools and a looming threat of a supposedly unbeatable warrior on his way to the battleground of the once a great city-state it doesn’t take much for a wanderer’s plans to earn him nothing but an unmarked grave.
It’s all or nothing in here in Sorcererstown and in this deadly game everyone is playing for keeps.
This summary is for the first book in a trilogy, all of which will be posted as one webnovel.

Since joining the great Canavar military, she has dedicated her life to protecting the innocent by any means necessary. Being born is hard.
Being reborn is even harder.
But being reborn as a baby dinosaur in a world where everything wants to kill you, skin you, and suck the marrow from your bones? That's the hardest.
At least the magical blue boxes say I can evolve, though?

THIS IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE REWRITTEN VERSION OF ONE OF MY MAIN NOVELS.
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull.
Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time?
Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours.
Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow?
I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.'
I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
[Goal of 1 chapter per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies]
The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx.
This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
When mysterious portals start opening up around the world at large events, swallowing everybody, you’d think that would warrant some kind of danger pay when you have to sell hotdogs at a Comic-Con, right? ‘No, of course not; what are the odds of that happening here, out of all the big events in the world?’
Well, Emma was always pretty good at beating the odds when it came to shitty luck.
Now she’s stuck in a strange dimension, where the normal rules don’t seem to apply, together with a costumed crowd who seem strangely happy about this whole thing.
At least, until the first people start dying.

The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a villain-infested, crime-filled city like Brockton Bay, treating life like a game can get you killed.
It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life. (Worm/The Gamer AU)
Skills, Attributes, and Experience. These are familiar elements to any tabletop RPG. Jack is intimately familiar with these terms from years of playing games, so he is shocked and excited when the entire world is integrated into a system governed by those elements.
Follow Jack as he works to understand and navigate the new world around him. From heartbreaking losses to amazing experiences, Jack's life will never be the same.
A slow build, slice of life. Blue Mage MC who learns skills from monsters. Skills are not intuitively known and must be trained to be able to use properly. This is not a rapid rise to power story.
It's more of a pseudo-Isekai. As the setting quickly changes to a Fantasy one. (with elements of steampunk and sci-fi but not until much later)
The story does not get very adventure-y until chapter 17.
