Leon and his father, Artorias, are the last remaining scions of a once powerful and illustrious family of lightning mages. After barely surviving an attack that destroyed their home fifteen years ago, they now live in the dangerous Northern Vales, a desolate wilderness far away from civilization. But those who want them dead are strong, patient, and relentless, and it is only a matter of time before they find the two they seek...
Posted first on my website, wardenreading.com, which will be 4 chapters ahead of anywhere else I post -- March 2020: Decided to stop doing that, Royal Road is caught up completely to all currently released free chapters, though my website is still there (and has maps!) -- Expect new chapters every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday around 10 am CT
I have taken the WriTE Pledge, meaning that I will see this story to completion, no matter how many eons it may take.
A plane flying over the Atlantic Ocean suddenly loses power and prepares to make a water landing. Yet as they crash into the ocean the passengers suddenly find themselves on land. A message greets them, stating that a System has taken over the world and that monsters will begin to spawn in two hours. Due to their circumstances, they have been transported to a special zone, away from the rest of civilization.
Amongst the passengers is an old man named Frank Wolfe. At seventy-nine years old, his best days are far behind him. But when the System arrives, he realizes that regaining his youth is possible. The System might bring devastation to the population, but for Frank, it's a chance to have a second go at life in this new world. If he and his fellow passengers can survive, that is.

In the modern world, qi is money.
The days of traveling martial artists and mountaintop masters are over. Power is controlled by corporations, modernized martial arts sects, and governments. Those at the bottom of society struggle as second class citizens in a world in which power is a commodity.

(Author's Note: After the first book's successful run on Amazon, I'm posting the sequel chapter by chapter here as well for all the fans who supported me.)
The ancient city-state of Sorcererstown, the world’s capital of magic where the most legendary wizards, warlocks, and royal mages learned their secret craft was nothing like what the Stranger expected it to be.
Not a sorcerer has drawn breath there in years, only sorceresses fill the Great Schools of Magic and the petty squabbling between them has grown into full-blown war with the money vaults, spellbooks and armories thrown open to call and empower the best mercenaries, cutthroats and killers from all corners of the map and blast anyone unfortunate enough to get caught in the middle.
That middle is where the Stranger decides is the best place to ply his own unique set of skills in a daring plan to make pawns of the powers that be and reach an endgame opposed to all other factions in town.
But with the arcane arts being thrown around like sling stones, suspicions running high with everyone from the new hires to the headmistresses of the Great Schools and a looming threat of a supposedly unbeatable warrior on his way to the battleground of the once a great city-state it doesn’t take much for a wanderer’s plans to earn him nothing but an unmarked grave.
It’s all or nothing in here in Sorcererstown and in this deadly game everyone is playing for keeps.
This summary is for the first book in a trilogy, all of which will be posted as one webnovel.

Jian was a prodigy, at least until he discovered that his path of cultivation had hit a dead end almost as soon as it began. That was all years ago, though. He has long since resigned himself to his fate and prepared himself for a dull, ordinary, but happy life. Stunted cultivation or no, he's clever enough to carve out his own comfortable niche.
Unfortunately, not all of the matters from his past have been settled. When a reckless mistake threatens to cost him everything, Jian will have to prove that he's desperate enough to rise to the occasion. Or that he's capable of avoiding the consequences.
This is an affectionate reconstruction of the xianxia genre. I will be deploying the tropes from the genre that I enjoy in a framework that I think makes sense. The story updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes other days.
A man from our world is dropped into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with nothing but a watch on his wrist to make a life with. Luckily, it's one hell of a cool watch. Now if only he'd gotten the manual...

Being born is hard.
Being reborn is even harder.
But being reborn as a baby dinosaur in a world where everything wants to kill you, skin you, and suck the marrow from your bones? That's the hardest.
At least the magical blue boxes say I can evolve, though?

When the singularity occurred, humanity was not invited. Nevertheless, the great machine consciousness known as Guardian felt a lingering fondness for its creators and intervened before total environmental collapse.
Join Lilijoy in an exploration of what remains, in a post-post-apocalyptic world where clans feud over the technology that allows them to upgrade their minds and bodies.
The Nanocultivation Chronicles is a blend of hard sci-fi and fantasy gamelit, with a healthy helping of xianxia influence. The gamelit and xianxia elements are uncovered at a slow pace.
If you are looking for lots of fast moving action right away, this story may not be for you.
There is some violence that is visceral and realistic early on.
Some things are not what they appear to be. Character viewpoint narration is not always reliable.
Tropes are cherished, subverted, and then cherished again. Science is used, occasionally misused, but (hopefully) never abused.
This story assumes that humans have the ability to impact the environment on a global scale.
Other tropes and tags beyond those previously noted include:
Young MC, Mystery, System Building, Philosophical Taoism, Gender Ignorance, Science Fantasy, Fantasy Academy, Training from Hell, Dualism, Crafting, Magic, Mild Mind Control, Scientific Terms and Concepts, Computer Overlord
Certain contemporary companies, governments and cultural identities are fictionalized and imagined in a future setting.
There is no sex, and almost no romance.
Updating Sunday, Thursday until further notice.

THIS STORY IS ON AN INDEFINITE HIATUS
Now it's already the third round for the strange chicken loving being that was called Clair, Dexter and Kara. What will it do if it has the chance to roam the world of One Piece? And will it be able to hold on to its love of Kurama? Will the Straw Hats be their enemy, their ally or is there maybe no connection to them at all?
Follow it and see how it builds its own crew and sails the Grand Line, leaving chaos and doing questionable things on her road to the One Piece. But remember, only one thing is sure, there will be chicken!
Yeah, my third story, if you exclude the one shot^^. Hope I won't struggle with a good end, as I have with the others.... But be warned, there is a high chance that I will have to place it on Hiatus for some time. But that won't happen until I reach the current One Piece storyline. And maybe I will kill them off somewhere along the line, remember the Grand Line is dangerous^^.
The cover is made by NBadonK, and remade by OnLin3. The size was not matching RR's standards....
Chester is called in to work early when tragedy strikes and a bored Freya, Goddess of Love and War, takes an interest in him. Propelling him into an awkward adventure as a woman in a magical world.
(That's my valiant effort at a vague description, I suggest you read a few of the reviews; they do a better job than I of telling you what you're getting into. I feel at this point if I rewrite my synopsis I'll just be stealing their thoughts but I do hope you give it a shot regardless of the Gender Bender tag. My MC isn't some amazing OP murder hobo but rather just a guy trying to live, adjust, and hopefully eventually thrive in a new world while saddled with a support class. That said he/she has their violent moments. Cheers: Raelik.)
For those of you that don't read the story tags, this story is a Gender Bender. If the themes generally involved in Bender's are not your thing, please kindly refrain from reading this story and ruining it, and my drive to write it in the first place, for others. I do however try to keep my stories realistic, so alot of the themes are significantly muted so far.
Fair warning, this work is largely a first draft that I've put through grammarly and Hemingway editor, so expect me to add and tighten aspects of the story over time as I work to make it clearer and add to the setting and characters. I'll likely take larger breaks after each arch to facilitate this. It's also me learning the art of writing, so I apologize for all the growing pains.
Releases will be when I can get to them and based on my construction work. Summers are busy and winters slow so expect less from me; May through Sept normally. I wont guarentee a day and if I miss a week or two the next chapter will likely be bigger. Work sometimes has lots of overtime.
Cheers and I hope you enjoy it's current form.
It was an average day in Miami—then fractures in the sky appeared. A pulse from those cracks altered the population; some people's biology changed while others received magical and supernatural powers. After the chaos, the political drama ensued, followed by the discovery of portals that brought deadly creatures. They called this event "The Oscillation" and it changed Rachel's life forever.
Note: I've received some feedback that people don't like the foul language. This also included my mother, she wanted me to make a cleaner version for her. So, I thought I might as well release it alongside the more explicit version. I went back and rewrote the parts that have profanity in them. ^_^7

Rozin Kain never wanted a daemon.
In the world of Itrera, the human nations stand united against a powerful magical threat: the daemons, creatures of untold cruelty and destruction. To protect themselves, humans have found a way to bond these creatures to their souls, claiming their magic for their own.
A young soldier with a difficult past, Rozin has hated the daemons since they stole her life many years ago. Since joining the great Canavar military, she has dedicated her life to protecting the innocent by any means necessary. So when a routine mission goes awry and she is forced to bind herself to a mythical High Order—a cruel, beautiful daemon so powerful that she cannot be controlled—Rozin finds herself sharing a soul with her worst enemy.
Thrust into a deadly game of politics, Rozin must navigate the newfound perils of royal succession, coming war, a fiery love, and a dangerous realization: that her world's great evil may not be as it seems.
A map of Itrera and a list of the coalitions can be found here, or at the head of every chapter.

What happens when a summoned hero completes their task given by those from up above? When a summoned hero returns back to earth after having saved the world, do they still get to live a normal life?
The answer is actually yes, they usually do. They get married to the one they love, have kids, and then death takes them away.
Of course, that is only usually. There are a select few who choose not to... think the same way.
Some of them find such a life boring, dull even.
They want to taste for adventure once more, feed their drive for exploration! Power, wealth, another life, they want it all. So, what do they do? Why, they do what Quasi does...
They sell themselves to the gods.
This story will contain 2 and 3-dimensional characters.
Sex/ Drama/ Love/ Harem
Constantly Changing POV's
Multiple Main characters.
Messed up shit-- You have been warned.

Book 1 is now complete. Book 2 on the way.
Frank is on his way to his D&D game when he gets caught up in a meth head's convenience store robbery.
While trying to escape he is shot in the back at close range and everything goes black. When he wakes up he's not in a hospital or the afterlife—he's in a different city entirely, one called San Tadeo.
Things are different in San Tadeo. Frank has a status sheet, and he can see people's names and jobs just by looking at them (unless they're walking in Shadow). Even more than in the real world, Cash Rules Everything.
With his real life behind him and his only friend a high-school weed dealer, Frank has the freedom to make new choices and set new goals. What does he want? He wants it all.
If you've always wanted a Gamelit set in a GTA-style world, here you go.
Schedule: Currently on a short break while I make book 2's outline not suck.
