Grin the Cheat
There was a time when heroes roamed between the Four Great Cities. They fought for kingdoms and princesses and they lived and died by their valour. Or so the stories say. The way the minstrels sing it, everyone had a swashbuckling good time. Nowadays, buckles are rarely swashed. All the great beasts have been slain, all the great treasures unearthed. Princesses are few and far between — the ones worth fighting over, anyway — and the kingdoms have been divvied up between the sons of sons of sons of the heroes of old. No valour required. Frankly, the hero business is in a sorry state. Luckily for Grin the Cheat, thieving and murder are thriving as usual.

To Gods, you did not let me down I'll tell you that!
The cover has been fixed, and feels as though a real novel now!
I never read the author's name before the story, as sometimes their reputation precedes them, but I have read your other wonderful piece "How To Avoid Death On A Daily Basis" and, quite frankly, I have enjoyed both of them immensely!
The grammar is immaculate, your well-refined style of writing brings the incandescent characters to life, and the story, though yet short, brings tingles down my spine!
This story seems worthy of a novel!
Though I am not sure why you had shortened the second chapter so much, therefore sadly I had to dock a mark on your style.
Yet I have to say, jolly good show sir!
A real shame that you decided to put them on hold for now. I hope you will find the time and motivation to continue with these at some point, because personally i like these best.
5/5 for four very entertaining short stories.
Good and funny story. Dark but not tragic. A story made up of short auto-conclusive adventures, is refreshing after reading never-ending or slow paced fictions...
Thank you author for making it possible for people to be able to enjoy your great stories.
Style: The style is good for a nice read it keep you entertaint, has its funny moments and overall is a pleasant read.
Story: the story is interesting featuring a roque like mc and his "warrior" friend going on an adventure.
it is a small compact story which is a nice change from long 100 ch stories.
Grammar: i have not seen any grammatical errors and the story reads oke no weird sentences as far as i can see.
Characters: the mc is kinda like a thief/roque. there have really not been enough chapters to see what the character of the mc is like but from the first story he looks like a "grey area" kinda person not good not evil
overall: a nice fun short story which is good for a relaxed read.
This isn't gonna be a proper review of any kind, just writing it so it could gain more popularity because I feel people would like it just as much as How To Avoid Death On A Daily Basis and to give the author more motivation to continue posting the story because I love it already.
I'm a fan I think.
I really love the story.
Just, I don't know if Grin is a guy or a girl.
I think a girl, but I'm not sure ^^
Well, the story is not too fast, not too slow, just the right amount I think.
The personages are well written and I already love how Grin act
I'll be waiting for the next chapter :p
I don't see the point in recommending a story that got taken down, so I won't. He says, it was taken down temporarily and that he was just too lazy too put it back up on both here, and his website. If he wanted this story too go places, he would have either put it back OR he could have put it up on kindle unlimited, which I find, is not mentioned on the blurb. If he has done neither, than a bad review warning readers not to waste their time is only logical.
