Apocalypse Tamer
by Maxime J. Durand (Void Herald)
“Whoever will reach level 100 first shall become Earth’s new Overgod.” So said the screen as dungeons summoned invaders from alternate realities, woke up ancient gods slumbering beneath the earth, and empowered humans with levels and classes. A battle royale of worldwide proportions begins as the world descends into anarchy.
But Basil Bohen doesn’t give a crap about the apocalypse.
He would rather live in the woods with his monster pets, but people just won't leave him alone...

New Story from the author of Vainqueur the Dragon!
Reviewed at: Chapter 9: Man vs Evolution
The author here, Void Herald, is the same author that wrote Vainqueur the Dragon, another AMAZING story on RR. If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for? Its amazing, go read it!
Apocalypse Tamer is essentially Pokemon meets System Apocalypse, and that's a good thing!
Its been a lighthearted romp so far, heavy on the fun and humor, light on the existential dread and other depressing tropes common to System Apocalypse stories.
So far, the LitRpg portions of the story have been relatively light, too - which I don't necessarily think of as a good or bad thing, but I know a lot of readers dislike it when a story becomes to rules heavy - too 'crunchy' as some people like to put it.
Anyway, I'm really enjoying the story so far! Give it a shot!

Fun story

This is a fun little home defense story where this random Bulgarian drug specialist must defend his home from the dungeon that has spawned around it. If you like LitRPG, quirky non-human side characters, a crazy mc who loves his quiet life a little too much, and France, then this is the story for you!

Very refreshing and unique read!

A Very unique MC with a strange personality and a bunch of weird friends!
An interesting story with a Lot of funny elements and plenty foreshadowing!
I really like It so Far, the worldbuilding, the caracteres, the comedy and Major Chicken as a hero!
The way the author incorporates real world elements into the system is Very Nice too!

The makings of another winner

As per usual with a Void novel,
only a few chapters in and the charm &depth of the thus far revealed system had me captivated.
The interactions between the cast is entertaining though I do slightly it growing too large for comfort, considering Basil is a tamer.
Looking forward to more!

Very good

Interesting, and mildly adicting to read, good luck with the 'wait withdrawal'.
And here's the rant, because why should i do it!? - Alex 'White' Omega.
Anyway, it's good and you should give it a try, you won't waste your time with this one.
I still need to talk!? Kmon! - Alex 'White' Omega.
The characters are interesting and well made, the situation are great, not detailed to bore you, yet not vague enough to lure you into trying to focus on the history start, each of the characters have its personality well made, and the main character is charismatic enought to shine between the others, chapters are big enough to give lots of entertainment, and the writing is very good, all of this being in france do give it a niche point...
Can i stop now? - Alex 'White' Omega.

I think this might be litrpg Pokémon, AWESOME!!!

Bloody hell this is a fun read. Anything that is cohesive, well paced, and packed with great writing is a winner.
Basil is entertaining to read about, with his team of monsters... Ehem pets being just as quirky and lovable. The story is engaging with not too much exposition into explaining the levelling and dungeon systems. But still good enough to draw me in.
A good balance of humor, fun and action. Highly recommended if you're looking for a fun read, with chuckles and laughter aplenty.
