Ever since meeting his uncle, Arthur has pushed himself daily to achieve an arbitrary goal. He trained like nobody else did, longer than anybody else could. He neglected his personal relationships to pursue something he didn't even understand, in hindsight. When the time came for his class awakening ritual, he was ready. He was ready to receive a powerful starting class and to break free from his boring lifestyle.

Well, you know what they say, "Be careful what you wish for, lest your wish be granted."

Arthur was assigned the death knight class, which is just barely, technically, maybe legal.

With it, he learns about what drove him to such simple minded ambition in the first place: his affinity. Now, he's faced with a dilemma: will he embrace it, or reject it?

'My class [Death Knight] is just barely legal' is a laid back story with occasional tension, that describes Arthur, a young man, exploring the world, the system and his own mental health as he pursues his ambitions.

This story is the first serious fiction I ever wrote, so while criticism is definitely welcomed, keep it polite. I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters at some point, since they're not as good as my later ones, but I'm focusing on my current chapters first. I don't have time to do both yet, since I'm also in the middle of my exams.

What to expect from this story:

-Litrpg elements

-A chaotic good aligned protagonist (that starts off as a neutral good protagonist)

-(Hopefully) interesting characters.

What not to expect from this story:

-Grimdark elements

-Harem

-An enslaved protagonist. (I mention this due to the background of the mc's class)

Release schedule: 1 chapter every other day, 2pm European time (14:00)

I'd make an advanced review later when more chapters are available, but for now, the early chapters shows a lot of promise.

The pacing is good, and there are no obviously glaring flaws. And also, the way the LITRPG elements are set up makes for a fun read for people who loves theory-crafting in games.

Awesome story so far with an interesting world and an open ended goal, unsure where the mcs going specifically but fighting evil stuff is a good general baseline goal to have whilst he figures that out. Defo recommend anyone gives it a read as it can 100% be a titan of the litrpg genre with the author continuing to learn as he goes.

It does not have some insane goofy concept like a lot of the lit rpgs that are currently super high rated on this website. But it is solidly written and the author knows what he wants this to be. It has all the elements a lit rpg needs and is currently my 2nd most favorite ongoing series.

Trust what you like, not the reviews.

Reviewed at: Chapter 16: The death of several undead.

Obviously this isn't the perfect-est, most beautiful piece of work I've ever read. It's not in my top three favorite books of all time, nor have I spent a sleepless night to binge-read it (mostly for the lack of chapters).

But it's good. It's entertaining and I love the characters. Sure fleshing them out could have been done a bit better, but darn it it's still good.

The pacing is pretty good, and people have to understand that we are very early on in the story, yet we are getting some pretty good world building without sacrificing quality or anything in return. Similarly, the progression is linear and very much enjoyable to read. Effort gets rewarded and all of that.

Read the description and if you like it, go on to read the novel. You won't be disappointed.

The bones of this story are quite good, the litrpg system seems well thought out, and the world itself is intresting.

The prose though is fairly basic, and the characters seem to lack emotional depth.

For a first work its quite good, and I recomend giving it a chance, the work that went into the world building alone is worth some intrest, and the latter chapters are already showing an improvment in emotional depth.

I love the story and i recommend it strongly, the style is ok, its not extraordinary but its solide and give a strong basis for the story, the story is interesting and entertaining easy to follow and get hooked up with, grammar is very clean and easy to read and characters are really fleshed out for us, specially for the pov's that the author use to give us a glimpse for what their character is like and i think its quite nice as well

I was very disappointed that the author only has two other fictions, both under 80 pages. I wanted more. The style is very good, only a few instances in which things are slightly repetitive, but over all the story flows well.

Only approximately 20 chapters in and the story isn't terribly well advanced, we have the initial class development, one dungeon, and one mission thus far.

There has not been a great deal of characterization for people besides the main character. At most other characters may have a paragraph or two relating to their motivations.

Over all this is simply an engaging read, better than the sum of its parts. I feel the regret mentioned by another reader insofar as there is no backlog, and releasing only one chapter per day doens't seem like enough, given that I would like approximately 200 or thereabouts.

I want to see more advancement of the story, and get a better idea of the over all conflict. The is because we start with the initial motivation of "I want to be stronger" morphs into "I don't want to become a homicidal maniac, so please don't kill me because of my class... also I want to be stronger."

I have faith in the author and it was well worth my time as I reader. I look forward to more in the future.

The reason the story is a five is simply based on enjoyment.

Pretty good, interesting start, for the characters a protagonist who works hard towards a goal, a little too trusting for my taste and the plot armor may have started a little too thick, but overall still pretty nice, we dont have a lot more of character depth yet but in the recent chapters the mc has showed some serious balls so i dig that, for the quantity of chapters it has its been coming along nicely and i hope to see it continue that way

The story is about a simple being with the dream of being a royal knight or some kind of hero, pretty standard even used up cliché, now what is the difference here?

well the protagonist gets a "death knight" class, you know the pretty op undead monster?, yeah that but its nerfed till he tiers up a couple of times, it also comes with a regen skill wich actually makes him reckless or straight up stupid when taking risks, since he just trust that to save him.

The style, what can i say im a sucker for blue boxes, you cant go wrong with that, its also quite well place and it feels good to see it that way

The grammar... it could use some work, it makes a lot of mistakes in new chapters, but the author picks up all if not most corrections and in 1 or 2 days they are done, way better than some author that just leave errors there.
