Soul of the Warrior

Soul of the Warrior

by Kyfe

In a world where Classes, Stats, and Levels are the everyday norm, Reivyn has a secret.

He was unusually aware of his surroundings from an incredibly early age, and Skills and Stats were acquired easily. He was just the son of an ordinary village family, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary on the surface. But below the surface, dreams of another life help shape his mentality and growth. Why does he have some remembrance of a past life, and what is his purpose in this new one?

"Soul of the Warrior" is what I call a Semi-Isekai LitRPG. I say "semi," because Reivyn's past life is remembered like a dream, and very incomplete. It is still Isekai, though, as he remembers enough that it directly shapes his personality and his sense of self.

The System that governs the world of "Soul of the Warrior" is a combination of modified versions from Selkie's "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons" and Kosnik4's "Magic Smithing." I have changed enough of these Systems and combined them in a way that is unique that I'm mostly sure it's fine, but I still have requested permission to use these ideas. They have both graciously granted me permission.

Can't believe this story exist

Reviewed at: Chapter 29 - On the Horizon

This story was so good and balanced all around.

While other Isekai and Xianxa novels treat everyone else as being beneath you and you are the noblest person alive, this novel use a more realistic approach.

The MC is not OP. True he have a head start for his stats but he never actually won any fight (at least for now). He got beaten by stronger and more experienced characters and only by a bit of luck and huge efforts he manage to survived.

And he have a supporting families, and the army's arc show that those soldiers are human with emotion and empathy too..this novel is really a breath of fresh air..

I am strongly recommend anyone to include this novel into your follow list.
this is good.

Great writing, well developing characters

Reviewed at: Chapter 20 - Aide and Attendance

While there are a couple events that seem a bit forced, the writing flows well and the world building is done well, and the characters seem real and engaging, and most importantly, hold true to almost every detail mentioned about them, no big changes or surprises.

Foreshadowing and hinting at secrets is also stunningly done, with just enough information to make you able to extrapolate in a hundred different directions

A well written LitRPG. The system seems logical, I especially like the components for light mana. But there is some inconsistencies in the numbers in the blue boxes, a quick check sholud fix that problem.

The story should avoid power creep for a long time at current rate of progression, without the MC feeling like a looser.

Tries too hard. The 1st chapter read like someone tried far too much to create the mystique of the afterlife and it came out boring and cringe. Also this is not an isekai at all. Its about a child who has some foggy memories of a past life. Therefor, not the same person at all. An otherworldly knowledge tag would much better suit this than isekai. Being labeled at such comes across as trying too hard as well. When the story is not an isekai. memories make the man. For anyone who has cared for dementia or alsheimer patients or even those with head injuries that resulted in memory loss you may very well understand that many times significant memory loss can have a loved one being an entirely diferent person than who they were before. And that is what this story is at best.

Gave it a 5 simply because of the sharing. So So tired of these kinds of stories but the mc never shares his info with anyone like not even his parents but this does that. Not to mention the mc isn't an auto hero who has to save everyone. I also enjoy that not everyone bad? Stays bad. Not all the nobles seem like power hungry morons.I also really enjoy the  side characters they actually interact with each other and have there own personality which is great. I think overall the story is really well done and if not already been planned out at least shows some idea of whats is going on. Very nice change of pace.

Well written and paced. Love the Authors writting style. The story advances at a good clip, without seeming rushed.  Found it a little jaring at the beginning with the Main Characters age, but as the story advances this becomes less so.

The flash back idea is well doneand a nice twist.  Hoping it gets published as a series eventually as I believe that it would be well recieved

The story has been a great read so far, well paced, really fun to read. The characters have been fun to see how they develop, looking forward to more backstory on the parents. I really enjoy the system that the world is using. Looking forward to reading this for a long time.

I loved it!

The only problem I ran into was reading the entire thing in one sitting....overnight.....and getting no sleep!

Look forward to reading more.

Apocalypse Fan

I will admit the first couple chapters are pretty weird and all over the place but once you get past that the story becomes very good. I already finished the story and subscribed to his patreon. I really excited to see where the author decides to take the adventure, it reminds of the Hero of the Valley series.

This book has a great spin on the isekai genre and has very refined grammar that you usually don't see in web novels. The world, characters, and system seem very well thought out. The chapters are pretty long without any of those info dump that make no sense. There are a few info dumps, but not the annoying kind that have no reason to be there. I really have nothing more to say besides give it a read you definitely won't regret it.
