- Profanity
Kickflip your way through a Kickass Isekai LitRPG Fantasy World full of danger, mystery, and hot busty anime babes, as you try to survive with nothing but your wits and godlike power.
Hiro ♥ Protagonist is just your boring, ordinary, average High Schooler living in the cyberpunk dystopia of Neo-Shinjuku. Diagnosed at a young age with Main Character Disorder, he lives an average life, with average looks and average grades, up until the day he dies in a tragic kickflip-related accident. It's then that his life is changed forever (in addition to being dead).
He opens his eyes to find himself in a generic, nondescript white void, where his childhood friend, Kamiko Demiurgos meets him, greeting him with a wave of her flaming sword and a wink of one of her infinite eyes. She lays some fat truth on him: he's dead, she's secretly a god, and he's going to be reincarnated into a Kickass Isekai Gamelike Fantasy World in order to stop the Demon Lord! As a gamer, Hiro is elated!
However, tragedy strikes, as before Kamiko can choose a ridiculously OP cheat [Skill] to give him, she accidentally pushes all the buttons on her controls at once, giving him [Skills] at random and prematurely sending him on to the next world!
Armed only with his wits, his [Absolute Invulnerability], his [Win Almost Everything but not Everything], and his several dozen other top-tier [Skills], will Hiro be able to survive in this new world, full of danger, mystery, and hot busty anime babes?
A self-proclaimed Timeless Classic, "That One Isekai" has been lauded by critic(s) as "The best, most well-written trashfic I have ever read", "Truly one of the isekai I've ever read", and "No, I'm not going to give you a quote for your book description." Find out why by reading this story!

Perfect in every way with no flaws whatsoever
Reviewed at: World 1-5: That time when I was reincarnated into another world, and saved the town from skeletons
Perfect in every way with no flaws whatsoever. Sadly its been 5 chapters and he has not had intercourse with every woman on earth yet. If I had one criticism it would be that our protagonist has a very limited moveset and could do with a few more abilities, such as omnipotence and onmipresence, the ability to make a triangle with four sides, the ability to walk and talk at the same time, and the ability to tie people's shoelaces together.
The author should also release two chapters daily and stop proof reading.
Title also leaves to much to the imagination and should be more specific

This is truly one of the isekai I have ever read. The characters are, the writing is certainly written, and the style is really an style.
That One Isekai has the most Original Isekai Plot Possible™ (author's OC, do not steal)(copyrighted). The MC is a absolutely brilliant man who was unfortunately killed while performing his most stunning skateboards trick yet, so the afterlife decided he was worthy of an Isekai Adventure. Unfortunately for him, the hero was summoned in without even a single truly cheaty skill to his name, and must trudge on with his unfairly low stats of around 1000+ or so and only near omnipotence :(
Will our protagonist manage to take down the Demon Lord, who is most likely gonna be a busty babe in love with him, with his utterly underwhelming instakilling skills and skateboarding prowess, or will he wallow in his sheer misfortune and weakness forever? Read to find out!

Excellent Shitposting.

Overall review:
The entire thing is a shitpost written stream of consciousness or close to it. The author has a good enough sense of humor to make that entertaining. If you like that kind of silliness, and don't mind that the chapters are barely longer than the true title, this is the story for you.
Style: As previously mentioned, an excellent shitpost. The author has good voice for each character.
Story: The story follows standard Isekai tropes, so you would think you'd be able to guess exactly what will happen, but it somehow manages to be surprising regardless. Often because of how colossally stupid Hiro's reactions are (though of course things still turn out well for him).
Grammar: There's some weird turns of phrase for intentional memeing. That, what few errors make it to publishing are corrected quickly when pointed out.
Character: The characters are great parodies of Isekai and anime tropes. The main character (Hiro Protagonist) is simultaneously supremely self-confident, and massively insecure. The Doggirl (Wanda) is the best girl. The Godgirl (Kamiko) has the best descriptions - I want to see her fanart. The Elfgirl (Bonbon) does her best... Nah, she's great too. Just hard to beat Wanda.
Overall, I recommend giving this story a try.

Brilliantly funny and biting satire.
Reviewed at: Beginnings - 1.4 That time when I was reincarnated in another world and started an amazing journey
Like another reviewer said, this story reads like a stream-of-consciousness shitpost. But PLEASE don't let that stop you, because it's also one of the most brilliantly funny and biting satires of the Isekai genre since Konosuba.
Hands' down, this is one of my favorite fics on here. I genuinely hope the author returns to it soon, because it's too good to stay on hiatus.

Worst, dumb, nonsense novel out there. Love it
Reviewed at: Quest 29 - That time I was reincarnated into another world and went on my first official quest
Worst, dumb nonsense on this site.
You will love it.
Its basicially self commentary on all the worst and most used tropes of all the isekaied (and not only) modern anime/mangas/noveles.
And his "slave" is the best addition i could ever want for our dumbest protagonist ever.
Full of little "easter eggs", example can be seen even in "enumerating" of chapters, which consist of all the different ways authors try to be "special" and enumerate their chapters in "different" way
Read it, maybe your head will hurt a bit from all the... Chaos there. But its worth it, especially if you had to dig throught thousands of shitty novels/manga(like me) to find one or two that are at least readable, and youre pissed at all the people who write/read those, and on all the inconsistences that these "works of art" have, you will love this.
"That one isekai" is masterpiece of chaos and shitposting

A genre smashing love letter
Reviewed at: Chappy 1.9 - That time I was reincarnated in another world and heard a cool-ass backstory
I'm about to make a weird comp to this story.
Shaun of the Dead. You've probably heard of it. Maybe you've seen it. It's a horror/comedy satire film satirizing the very popular zombie genre. It pokes fun at the tropes that recur in those films by scrutinizing and exagerating them, deconstructing the cliches and resonstructing the format. But the thing about Shaun of the Dead is that its filmmakers were so deeply infatuated with zombie movies, and so unflinchingly commited to satirizing the movies they loved, that it ended up transcending its own satire and ultimately broke the very genre it was satirizing. It's now regarded as a standard of comedic story telling and a staple in the zombie genre.
That One Isekai is a love letter to the isekai genre whose satire transcends satire and ultimately becomes more. Its author displays a staggering understanding of isekai tropes, and inverts and deconstructs them (with humor at the forefront) in such an impressive way. Reading this story, for me, is like having someone open up the hood of a car I've been driving for years and point out to me what all the components do to make it work, leaving me not only with a fuller understanding of the vehicle, but also revealing additional features I didn't even know were there.
I've seen some other reviewers accuse (lovingly) the story of being a long shitpost. It is, in a sense. But the commitment to the story, and the attention to the small details of the world (even if they're poked fun at) clears the story of any laziness typically associated with shitposting. The author is working hard on this. He's working hard to be funny (it is funny), working hard to write well (grammar is great, didn't notice a typo), and working hard to tell a story that plays with and rearranges a genre he obviously cares about deeply. The hard work shows.
Not everyone's going to love the self awareness. People read to get lost, and That One Isekai resists that indulgence. It will remind you every step of the way that you're reading a story, and that you're reading in a particular genre with a lot of caked in tropes. It might even make you self-conscious as a reader for not recognizing those tropes sooner. But for those who love meta storytelling, post-post-modern self-awareness, satire, and, most of all, isekai, this story might well jump to the top of your list.

An Isekai Experience Like No Other

That One Isekai [My Only Cheat Skill is All of Them] will let a reader re-experience the isekai genre in a way they never knew they needed.
Style: stream-of-consciousness shitpost, as all good satire should be.
Story: Contains all the necessary and required isekai elements: loli god, overpowered cheats, aquired slave Doggirl Companion... Nothing to complain about.
Grammar: Near perfect. Besides the occasional mispelling of "Stranth", my need to edit was left wholy unfufilled.
Character: At times I was absolutely blow away at the protagonist's though process. He repeatedly does things I would never have considered.

An sharp and witty work of satire.
Reviewed at: Dungeon 1.37 - That time I was reincarnated into another world and entered my first dungeon
I must preface this with the fact that I've read precisely zero Isekai-themed stories and watch little-to-no anime. I still found this satire absolutely hilarious, and that in and of itself should inform you how well-crafted it is. Let's get to the details, shall we?
Style Score:
The writing is quick, persistently witty, and easy to read. The author clearly has a good grasp of how to make sentence structure concise and simple to follow. This is rarer of a skill than you might think in my experience; I've been in a lot of writing groups and the tendency to overcomplicate the prose is very common. The dry, rather scathing look at the two main genres was obviously coming from someone well-informed about both, and who probably wouldn't mind seeing folks dial down on some of the tropier...well, tropes therein.
Story Score:
It's written like any well-crafted webnovel - vaguely episodic, with an overarching theme to keep the moving pieces threaded together. I was certainly never bored with it.
Grammar Score:
Essentially flawless. It's obviously passed over to look for any flaws before posting, which is always nice to see.
Character Score:
Five stars for Wanda honestly. She could hold the entire story together. Her sharp commentary is a hilarious fourth-wall break into the general chaos of all the satire that makes you feel empathy for her, given that she has to deal with the dipshit that is the protagonist. I think what I loved most about her in particular is the way she highlighted the shallowness of characters like 'Hiro,' beyond the author blatantly stating as much in the text more than once. He's an amorphous self-insert, and she's a tough-as-nails drug addict with murderous tendencies. Which I love her for.
All in all, I feel like I learned more about anime and Isekai in general by reading this than by reading a dozen webnovels, hah! If I ever attempt to write something similar now I know what to avoid.
Give it a read!

As the title says. Hiro Protagonist-kun is the bestest, most awesomest skateboarder in the whole multiverse and absolutely deserves anything and everything good thrown his way because he is perfect and no one can tell me otherwise.
Just... just read it. You won't be disappointed, and that's a fact, not an opinion.

A story for anyone who loves overpowered characters and pages upon pages of stat sheets. Best part is, it's also great for anyone who doesn't like either of those things! So what does the story do wrong? There isn't much of it, but that's being fixed as the author writes more chapters.
So it's a Win-win! Go read it now! That wasn't a request.
