I dont normally review so early into a series but I will for this one.
Basically this is a pretty good story not far from being 5stars but theres one issue that really prevents me from giving it full stars, that being the brevity of it.
While i really do appreciate that the author doesnt waste time meandering and gets into the good stuff quickly, they dont allow for much character development between characters or world building.
Actually another minor gripe I have is the lack of emotional expression from the characters, it seems like the author is able to do it but the uncles death just seems rather humdrum and not very impactful for the characters who were close to him.
It's a good story though and worth a read.
Good in scene pacing and grammar. Passable but not good characterisation. Plot armour out of the whazoo as far as I made it into the story, which ruins any tension in future scenes imo. The setting seems interesting enough on a surface level but didn't demonstrate the depth and consideration of interconnectivity to really grab me in the section I read.
This has to be one of the best action rpg I've read in a while, great story telling and world building; and I like the fact that it references towards greek history which is awesome. It feels as if I've been in the story itself. All in all 10/10.😁.
Well written , interesting and real caracters , amazing world building and an genious premise .What else can you expect? Its Void Herald! if he writes something you know it gota be good.
so instead of reading this stupid review read the story.
ps. also read his other works if you havent.
Read the first chapter, and I'm already hooked. Void's experience as an author shows, as it's chapter 1 and we already have 1. Some basic worldbuilding, 2. Lovable characters, and 3. A decent amount of backstory for the MC. I was hooked from the first paragraph, and the action reeled me in. Defiently gonna stick around for this.
I'm really not in the mood for an advanced review and me being a patron would mean that I actually had to see what happened up to chapter six, so no. It is Void Herald, which is a big plus. A story that I know will end is actually great. Kairos takes the litrpg genre to post apocalyptic greece, where the last survivors( probably) live at the top of mountains, the rest being flooded. With ancient beasts and an author that does actually do a little research instead of looking at two sentences from a wikipedia article, this fiction is great. Nothing to be surprised about really. The only author on this site which really is consistently good at writing is void. Bea has some probs from time to time, Exterminatus (I miss you ma boi) fell from grace and people that pull their fictions are ruining their relationship with their RR audience. And yet here we are.
void managed to do it again. Cheers, fellow readers.
After binging his previous stories, I can safely say Void's work never fails to amaze me. Really great stuff and an interesting world that I'm looking forward to see more of. Lore, characters and progression all show so much promise that I just want MORE. Really really good! Keep it up !
Yet another fantastic work of art from this author. While there might not have been released much yet, what has been shown off is more than it ever needed to be. The current array of characters are magnificent, each having details to them that makes them extremely memorable. The author just has a perfect sculptors hand, when it comes to making unique personalities.
The style is like the ones before it. Not much to say about that. It is still pretty fantastic, of course.
There is not yet too much in the way of the actual plot, but it seems that this status will not be there for long. I hope for much more to come!
So as of this review I have only read up to chapter 14 (the last free chapter), but I want to go ahead and give this a tentative 5 stars. Really love the way that the story is progressing and the main character has all the qualities of a loveable rogue. He is a pirate for sure, and does raid other people, but has just enough redeeming qualities that you can't help but root for this guy. Check it out even if you don't typically like LITRPGs, you may just be in for a surprise.
As a Greek I can say I enjoy this! It is a fast passed story based on Greek legends and myths. It takes parts of well known legends and offers modern story with an excellent system and well thought progression. Each chapter a story on its own and conclusions arriving swifter than expected are what this story is all about and all this without losing the initial draw. Look I am not good with reviews if you are looking for a system, ship-management, Kingdom-building light, raids and pillaging Greco-Roman style and dudes hanging dong(casually), fast paced action this is it.
