Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator who defied the heavens, and surpassed all limits.

Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck here. Arrogant young masters? Heavenly tribulations? Cultivating for days on end, then getting into life or death battles?

Yeah, no thanks. I'm getting out of here.

In which a transmigrator decides that the only winning move is not to play.

Beware of Chicken will be updated Monday to Wednesday, and then Friday.

A very wholesome, relaxing story. Has great character relationships, Extremely likeable, smart, kind, and hardworking protagonist, the story is very funny when it wants to be, has very good character writing with very realistic personalities. This story became one of my favourites really fast, reading it made me in a very good mood and made me smile the whole way through it.

Was expecting some random stone and found a gem

Great. Plain and simple great, haven't enjoyed a nivel as much since mother of learning.

it starts slow and nonsensical, it keeps being a bit nonsensical but the pacing becomes excellent and the character development is GREAT.
This novel shines by 3 things. Character development, continuity and well done change of POVs.

usually changing POVs constantly is done poorly and hurts the novel, in here they are a huge plus.

tldr: novel is great, do read it and author san please keep going.

Great story, meshes nicely into the xianxia world

Don't drop this story just because it's the premise is a xianxia parody, unless you dislike slice of life.

A lovely story of getting to know new people, and live life to it's fullest. There is occasionally some good xianxia intrigue and action that hints at greater things to come.

I love everything about this fiction.  Characters are likeable, story is wholesome, and MC isn't power hungry murderhobo, but an actual person. Animals povs are fun to read, and so is protagonist's obliviousness to what is he doing.  Romance is an actual romance, which is very rare on this site.

Boneless Vegetables

so awesome that I have read from volume 1 chapter 1 to volume 2 chapter 7 in two days.

I hate typing on on-screen keyboards

Jin is the first xanxia isekai cultivator to arrive in his new world, take a look around, and say bugger this.  This is a creative colorful and interesting story with plenty of comedy, action, romance, and dang near anything else you might be looking for as long as it isn't sci fi.  This series deserves it's place on the Best Rated page.

I purposefully gave this review to catch people who ignore the 5 star reviews and the 1 ~ 2 star reviews, ya I'm talking to you!

Give this novel a shot, it has the trademarks of a green novelist but one that is definitely has some skill and that skill keeps growing!

The story takes the view point of several character through the story but it's done well enough as to not confuse the reader. The steady pace of the story really does look like it's going some where as oppose to just a waste of time slice of life (for the record I like slice of life but still) .

And you won't be disappointed by the antics of the side characters!

Ps / spoilers:
The MC is also Canadian if that does anything for you as it did for me!

Story is awesome, very fun and a joy to read. Thank you author!

I like the pacing, it is easy to follow. It also had no glaring editorial issues, just the small error here and there.

I reached the ending for vol 1 and I believe I never experienced a more wholesome ending to a volume before. Kudos for the work!

Full of interesting characters, amusing antics, and domestic bliss. It's a refreshing change from the absurd powerlevels and infinite incrementation of regular cultivation stories, even though those things are still part of the setting. It aknowledges what we all (mostly I, but I can't be alone in this) know: those things aren't what's important in life.

I can't recommend it enough!

The breadth of this story is fresh

I was looking for a fun story about slice of life and I got that, but I also got some introspective things I never thought I would find in a Xianxia story.  Really fun and enjoyable, the story has some tensions, but the chaos is quelled and the Farm is safe.  I find it funny that Chunky is the only one that knows everyone's names.  Great story and I look forward to continuing to read it in the future.
