"Humanity is on the cusp of their Great Expansion. It will be the first time in history that they’ve reached beyond their own solar system in an attempt to colonize the galaxy.

Or, at least, so they thought. Peeling back the veil of time, The Empire of Sol has uncovered vestiges of a secret genetic program on the far flung planet of Hod. The advent of the Empire’s ancient enemy could upset the careful balance of power throughout in the Sol System.

When Hod is invaded by the Empire, Andros Aeton is pressed into their service and his people are held hostage. Unbeknownst to him, factions within the Empire vie to use him to their own ends. He must claim his heritage if he has any hope of escaping the clutches of the forces that seek to use him."

This is a work in progress. Major editing will be done after the book is complete, so there will be egregious typos and parts that make no sense whatsoever. Please feel free to point any and all of these things out. Chapters WILL get edited, and that editing might break earlier chapters. I will attempt to keep readers apprised of all changes. As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated.

A Full, Professionally Made Novel

Reviewed at: Chapter 07: The Stars Align

Let me just start out by saying I've really started taking a liking to the author in recent days. I picked up his Evolve series through KU a few days ago, and found him through his Divinity series. The DW Belfield is really good at what he does, and what he does is write action very well, and has a knack for Game-like fantasy.

To start, this novel doesn't seem to be a game, but a heavy, lore-based Sci-Fi, and it was written very, very well. I started reading because of the Author's recommendation, and the story is good. Granted, I like the openers for his other two stories, but its well written.

Nevertheless, I'm only a few chapters into this beast. The chapters are actual novel sized and take quite a while to read if I'm going to pick up all the information I need to.

I'll update this review either when I finish, or when I stop. Looking forward to see how the author breaks out of his mold in the other two stories!

I think that this book is really great over all 5 out of 5. The book shows alot of concepts that you would expect from a sci fi novel while at the same time bringing alot more. I think that the authors writing style is pretty good with good grammar as well. i like thke the character as well its not perfect but definitly a highly recommended read. The plot it good and keeps you intrested over all a really good book. Now for some of the cons. at the time of writing the beggining arc is kinda lackluster in my opinion but after talking with the author he said he would be fixing that. i also think that a certain mid book arc is also a bit lackluster however the author has said that same things as he did with my first con. i like it and enjoyed it. I would for sure recommend it.
