After fulfilling the duty all arch necromancers are tasked with, Sylver Sezari was not expecting to ever wake up again.
But he did.
And after crawling his way back into the land of the living, he’s alive once again. In a strange land, a strange time, and with a strange floating screen in front of his new face.
Either through plan or chance, he’s alive again, and planning to enjoy himself to his heart's content.
-The story isn’t grimdark, but it’s not all sunshine and rainbows either. There will be lighthearted and positive moments, as well as some sad ones. That being said, it’s a whole lot more light than dark.
-This is a LITRPG story.
Chapters are published every 2 days at 21:00 GMT.
-It can get very GORY. I’m somewhat desensitized to gore and violence. So while the story isn’t full of gore for the sake of gore, it can get a little too descriptive.
-The MC is a necromancer, so corpses and decay, and all the things that come with it, will be mentioned from time to time.
-I’m a huge fan of Egyptian, Slavic, and Greek mythology, so expect quite a bit of that. That said, so much is altered, you’ll be hard-pressed to guess how exactly it is being used.
-Despite being ‘immortal’ the MC can die. In the event he does, the story doesn’t end, simply time skips forward. Which in some cases is going to be worse than just dying.
-I love plot twists, as much as I love red herrings and Chekhov guns. Deus Ex Machina’s not so much.

Sylver may very well be one of the most grey MC I've ever read. Meticulous without falling into needless perfectionism, no kill policy except for a balanced benefit and resourceful despite not beeing handed the sylver platter...HA!
I do think this character ends up beeing so amazing that some of his characteristics end up in other people wich is kind of a weird thing, not everyone is as calculative and practical as him, so talking and thinking in such a similar way is off puting, specially with oposing parties without any kind of misunderstanding.
The worldbuilding is pretty nice, could use a little geographical expansion but undestandable since there simply wasn't the chance of sightseeing. The RPG part has yet to have a big impact on the development of MC while still being a very big X.
Minor mistakes here and there but barely noticible.
It's very easy to distinguish dialogs and the flow has a good timing to it. Details and action are well balanced.
Highly recommend reading this one, while it will take a long time to have enough chapters to satisfy any 2:00 am readers until the next day, I look forward to much more of our chaotic neutral necromancer.
interesting concept, very well written and executed. great story!!
I very much enjoyed it, and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys longer stories with well done characters, complex stories, and magic!
I am once again asking you to stop bothering me regarding this silly little word requirement thingy that is preventing me from posting my review for this quite excellent story.
- Really like the premise and the setup we shall see if the author continues. The character is wonderfully flesh out in two chapter. I'd recommend giving this a read and see if you like it. Also author good job I haven't had a good read like this in a while.
Simply fantastic, couldn't recommend it more. Never has a necromancer story been done better.
The sense of justified evil is intoxicating. Break a man over thousands of years of trial and error and you get Sylver. It's simply really well done. A trip onto moral quandary, gore, and absolute brutality. Can't recommend more.
The best part of this story is really the main character. He is a cunning and ruthless man, who has strong convictions but is willing to adapt to harsh circumstances without winning about it. He has goals and does what is necessary to achieve them without whinging about difficult choices. The author did a great job writing a character that looks at things from an ageless eternal perspective. The story was engaging from the start and builds in momentum as it goes. There are no pesky grammar issues to derail from how engrossed you can become. The mechanics are well thought out and consistent. The supporting characters are realistic and believable as well as likable. Really one of the best stories being published on this site.
Like the story a lot.
Has a nice Pace.
Don´t know what else to say. always hopeing for a sooner release, but it is good.
His over the topness feels just right. I really hope to get a map of the world soon, I have no spartial awaaeness in the story.
Keep up the good Work
While not an expert on the genre, I find myself ejoying this story very much.
It has a great protagonist that manages to hold our interest and guides us along the path to ultimate revenge or salvation :)
An artist of death and of questionable acts that manages to gather enough sympathy from the reader to albsolve him of any crime almost. Great ideas and I'm eager to see where the story will eventually lead us. Without a doubt in my huble opinion, one of the better stories here.
My score reflects it although he did earn the last half point for
consumating with the alluring priestess.
Weirdly strange and uncomfortably erotic but great scene nonetheless.
going where most thought he wouldn't haha :)
The overall story is an interesting idea, but the characters monologue too much. Most of the conversation is one character having a question and then the other one giving a minute long reply of why protecting their friends is valuable. Explaining everything makes it seem like the replies are for the reader instead of the characters.
Like I said the protagonist is competent and he also isn't a dumb boy scout burdened with naive beliefs that killing anyone for any reason is evil. The story also is good about having consistent rules and believable character motivations. All around this a very well written and thought out story worth your time to read.
In summary, an OP ultra pragmatist necromancer is reset in power and shunted forward in time to an age with the standard levelling system in place, and is trying to solidify his position and get his bearings.
The main character has a very simple outlook, where either you are someone he cares about, or not. And if you are in the not camp, anything goes. Tricks, threats, torture, sacrifice for experiments/spells. Whatever as long as it suits his goals and continued survival. He isn't a murderhobo and is infact quite social, but bandits and the like are given less than no sympathy. Which is a refreshing outlook compared to the standard isekai breakdown over killing humans. He isn't pointlessly cruel, but definitely pragmatic to the point of monstrous. He can be overly wordy, almost preachy, but honestly it fits the character so I don't mind it (mostly)
There's plenty of other interesting characters and groups to bounce him off, so isn't just him levelling and talking to himself. The world is really well developed compared to most fictions like this imo, the side characters aren't all falling over themselves to help the MC and clearly have their own morality and motivations. We are somewhat lacking in other perspectives and side stories though.
Zero issues with grammar and spelling for me. Other reviews seem against commas, but I haven't really noticed it too much? Maybe I'm just skimming over it, but no glaring spelling mistakes or things not making sense.
The only other issue I see mentioned in reviews is his faux intelligence/opness. But I don't think he's ever sold as ultra smart. The reason he's a pain in the ass is that he was determined, pragmatic and had a skill set that was fairly unique and a massive pain in the ass to combat due to how tricky he was. People seem to want him to be ultra minmaxing the system, but he was ultra powerful before it, so why should he? To him it's almost a novelty. In terms of his pulling skills out the air? He's an ex lich who lived for hundreds of years at least, he's setup to be an op protagonist with a lot up his sleeve. Dunno what to tell you.
Overall definitely worth a look, even if you don't like the MC I think you can't deny it's good quality.
