The Treasure King
The world of cultivation was endless, fantastical, and filled with treasures. These included supreme cultivation arts, ancient weapons, precious gems, sacred medicine, or beast lords that ruled the land. Humans fought against each other and against their deadly enemies, all in the pursuit of treasure and cultivation.
Gray was an impoverished orphan living an ignorant life in the wild mountains. His greatest dream was simply to eat his fill at every meal. However, the luckiest of chance encounters changed him completely and set him on a path to greatness.
He made a lifelong promise… and to fulfill it, he had to obtain immense wealth and peerless cultivation. How was he going to achieve these goals when his starting point was impossibly low? Well, he was blessed with a pair of heavenly eyes that saw the world like no one else could!

There is no other way to say it other than then MC is very dumb. Too dumb for me to stand in fact. You would think he would have a decent amount of street smarts growing up an orphan, but that evaporates quickly after his mining success. I was hoping for some kind of education or mental growth, but it never came and I grew tired of watching him try to brute force everything.
Beyond that, the writing is competent and world building is acceptable albeit limited in scope thus far.
When Minecraft mods meet cultivation you get the treasure king Grey. This a simple and delightful story about an ignorant and lowly MC chasing after a sect leaders daughter using the power of mining mods and cultivation.
My favorite part of this story is that it is not revenge driven and the MC is not portrayed as the most clever, calculating, and or ruthless but rather simple, kind, and strong. It is a very welcome change of pace for me compared to other cultivation novels but I can appreciate that isn't for everyone.
The hardest part of the story is the grammar, its not excessively bad but it is blatant. The second hardest is the story can feel slow,I didn't really mind until I was caught up on chapters and realized it was going to be a very long time before this story is done if indeed it makes it. But such is the reality of cultivation novels.
All in all I recommend it to those who are looking for something a little different and I think you will be quite surprised and pleased.
Good story, despite the lack of consistency between personality and action, the guy does not like to be under others, he is a lone wolf and so on, and on his first opportunity, he will work for a company.
But is good
And I need more
Chapters are short, and there's a few grammar mistakes, but otherwise this is a wonderful start to a xianxia story and I hope it really leans into the whole avarice aspect it's showing so far. Also, please have gollum appear somewhere in here. I'll kiss you if you do, or not. Whiechever you'd prefer more ;)
A boy, barely surviving through hard work makes some lucky finds, starting his path of cultivation and adventure.
