Not greatly skilled but it's a rather amusing story and doesn't have a lot of spelling or other common errors.

Telling rather than showing seems to be fairly common in cultivation stories, but this one is a particularly strong example. The narration gives almost all of the exposition and commentary.

The protagonist also seems to vary in what the exact background is. Sometimes sounding like a mercenary of battlefields and others just a delinquent martial arts type that never settled down as an adult.

The MC is both the wise expert and the idiot, and while he says he'll stop and return to being a student we never really see much development. The narration just says he is better and that's that until the next time he makes a foolish assumption.

There's no strong plot, most of the characters aren't very developed and there's very little to actually get attached to. That said there's enough to entertain and laugh if you have plenty of time and don't find anything too annoying.

Going through the motions

Reviewed at: CH. 96
I like this genre, or rather the idea of it or at least the potential of it.
This story doing everything you would expect if you read Xianxia before, and nothing more.
That could be OK, but the main character is emotionally uninvolved, his struggles and achievements feel empty. His confrontational style with figures of authority and
his lack of curiosity early on is strange, he should be aware that cultivation is a thing, and that he has no knowledge about it, yet he is content to do what he always did.
This brings me to my largest problem - in the first chapter the MC jumps from a mountain because he was unhappy but after reincarnating he decides to do the same things he did in his first life.
The tribulation chapter solves some of those issues its probably the only chapter that we get to peek at the MC emotions and motivations, after 80 chapters it doesn't feel enough.
I would like to see more emotional engagement from the hero, that would fix a majority of the issues.

Flat, boring MC.  Generic cultivator setting.  Stylistically, the writing could be better.  Mechanically, it could be much, much better.  The dialogue, in particular, is terribly formatted.

Overall it's a lackluster story.  Don't bother reading it unless you have too much time to kill.

This is a cool story, quite creative for a Xianxia

Reviewed at: CH. 96

I wouldn't go so far as to say this is a unique take on a Xianxia story, but the main character's progression, motivations and character are pretty creative.

The author isn't a native English speaker but later chapters have much less grammar and spelling mistakes. He also welcomes suggestions and promptly corrects problems in the text.

Overall it's a fun story that has twists and turns you don't see coming a mile away.

One thing I did dislike was that there are a number of quite small chapters. I would suggest that if the author ever does a re-write or puts it up on Amazon Kindle that he edit together the shortest chapters to make them a more sensible length.

Murder hobo MC

Reviewed at: CH. 7

I couldn't forget past the first few chapters.

The main character, who is an adult that gets reincarnated in the body of a kid, tries to join a sect. In order to join, he has to fight some disciples, his own age.

He proceeds to ruthlessly murder them, because they posses "childish arrogance".  Think about it, an old dude kills little kids because they dare to not know enough.

Waaay too murder hobo for me.

The world also doesn't make sense. Weird time skips, little to no world building other than some handwaving and "this was a big city".

The murdered disciples also dont make sense. In traditional xianxia tropes, disciples are investments. And here the MC casually murders them and the masters sit on the sideline and frown. Wat?

A typical Xianxia introduction , a man who trained his hole life was reincarnated and then  walks his path toward might.

It's written Lila an epos, never too close to the MC - well at least till chap.5  where we're still in the introduction part, I think.

honestly just boring, lacking substance and feels very forced and slow, honestly not worth the read.

Pretty nice xianxia

Reviewed at: CH. 92

Grammar is solid, story feels nice, pace slowed down alot since he joined academy i kinda dont like it but i guess its a necessary part.

There isnt mutch cringe tropes, yes there are some cliche ones but they dont feel bad.

Some parts feel too rushed some too slow, but considering his backround and who he was before coming to curent world it can be taken as him growing up as a character.

Overall fun read, + fast updates so keep it up !

The story flows really well, not getting boring thanks to the time skips for boring cultivation. I enjoy it a lot!

The dialogue is pretty stilted but not badly enough to take you out of the story.

The main charater is pretty boring but the characters around him are interesting, and since the main character is so sigle-minded the story can progress fast and not stand still.

It;s a good story.
