46 Year Old Syndrome
by Vanidor
Follow him as he learns skills, runs away a lot, suffers crippling headaches, avoids reading his titles, and tries to avoid breaking his body that didn't get enough calcium and vegetables.
[Disclaimer 1: Despite the following, I will fix any typos pointed out. This is a writing exercise so chapters are mostly first drafts, otherwise I'd end up rewriting each chapter for a month or more with no real changes. My goals are a steady output by not using perfectionism as a procrastination method. I've already got laziness and additions to reading/games, I don't need a 3rd reason to procrastinate.]
[Disclaimer 2: The main character is a more normalized version of me, with 170% less laziness installed, and a few buffs like greater courage. Other things like having a job are partially similar. No other characters are based on real people because most people I know are either too normal to be useful or too fucked in the head to be believable.]

You won't be disappointed
This is an awesome story, extremely original and interesting.
Some characters could be developed a bit further but it might also be the goal and style of the author to solely concentrate on the MC.
If you are looking for a cool, kind of simple and above everything else not a stupid as fuck MC this is the story you want.

Good build
A gradual build off the 'real world' creates an easily imaginable world, which in turn adds depth the reader naturally fleshes out in their own mind (what would I do/ how would the public react- type thoughts). Depth is substance, substance is interesting. Keep it up!

Love the story! Love the dog!
Good stuff here! Really like the dog and the pacing. You've left yourself plenty of room to grow the story with both the resonance and the mystery of why this occurred to him! Enjoying it a lot!!

THIS IS AMAZING SERIOUSLY JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR
this is amazing this is basically what i was looking for in a story i hope you keep going and dont drop and please i beg UPLODE FASTER i know its hard but its hard for me to wait lol <3 love this

Amazing novel
This is a really good novel
I really hope that u dont drop it please

Fun varition of the SP/VR theme.
This is a fun take on the superhero / virtual reality stories.
Written in a pretty strict FP past tense we follow a pretty ordinary middle aged man who starts gaining on-line gaming attributes in his pretty ordinary middle aged life. An absolutely wonderful story.
While the language used is faultless there are a few weaknesses with style and character. There are a lot of skills and other attributes. More or less in every paragraph the reader is drowned in them, which, while fun initially rather quickly becomes too much.
For the same reason the main character is drowned by his game attributes. He's effectively reduced to an RPG manniquin. With the exception that he finds a woman in her later thirties attractive there isn't much to mark him as a 46 year old. In fact it's hard to see if he's in his early twenties (obviously not a college student) or the 46 the story states. Even the job he holds would sterotype better to a younger person who entered the workforce immediately after senior high school.
All in all I recommend the story for every reader who's read one SP/VR -story too many.

Really Good
A fun story that I enjoy, maybe you will too

Great start

I love this story. Really enjoying read! Not sure why it's so appealing but I'm very interested in where the story is going to go.

Great Read Interesting World
Good overall story and interesting basis combines with good grammar makes a great read - I just hope it updates soon

good story
middle aged man seemed weird at the before reading the story but our mc is a anti-social guy and doesn't change
plus the evolution it's a really good story
