Their old world had fallen. The Devourer had won.

In a last ditch effort to prevent others from destruction, a group of cultivation masters combined their souls, and sent them across the stars.

This story follows the journey of Mingwei, inheritor of their soul, will and memories. He will use their mastery of cultivation alchemy, forging-itemmaking, rituals and formations, and prevent his new world from falling.

Interesting twist on an old story

Reviewed at: Preparing to cultivate

Cultivation stories are so incredibly common that even the individual flavors have become stale. Being reincarnated into a different world or having old souls as a mentor is nothing new, neither is a focus und crafting.

What is unusual is that the cultivator learns new tricks and (so far) goes through with just blending in in order to learn the new local techniques. The exploration of different cores is interesting, and I hope things like that will continue to be part of the story.

A good cultivation story with an unnecessary litrpg system.

Sigh. This story takes the concept of basically cultivator God Emperor of man kind on a craft kick and leeches all the energy out of it with spineless main character unexciting cultivation and ceaseless numbers.  It's an endless build up with little payoff. He goes so low key the reader can't even see him and there no real sense of scale or threat or even investment in characters.

The Mc is plastic, the sect is plastic, the family, I can't even remember their names and I just binged.

While it tries to be refreshing with a more support character rather than the support masters that are really just punch jockeys in other cultivation stories it goes far far in the other direction and even actively dodges things to spice it up.

I was hoping for way more holistic involvement of crafting and it's use in cultivation and the development of sect. But the Mc even after getting caught out is just sort of actively uninvolved. It boring. Even the bullying is boring. This sect can literally disappear over the course of ten chapters on a trip and it feels like it would be meaningless.  Even when a war happens he just lucky I didn't get drafted and no maybe these kids would be less likely to die if I spent some time building or teaching infrastructure. That's his cheat and it is severely underused.

Also the sect name and arts are dumb. There a longbow hunting sect but archery isn't the core method. We don't even get cool rune crossbows. We have cauldron and sword.

Slight twist on Re-incarnator Cultivation

Reviewed at: Young Master's Request

This story is quite well done.  I found the plot to be not as generic as most, and the writing is done well.  Definitely better than most stories I pick up on here.  I find myself wanting the MC to use his OP knowledge more often, but it seems fun so far.

I look forward to reading more.

Misleading description, pointless RPG, good story.

Reviewed at: More materials

Normally I'm a great fan of LitRPG, I actually skim the story and look for the boxes so I can check out the meta the author is using.

That being said, this is a rare instance where the story suffers from having a status window.  The main advantage of a status window is so that a reader can quantify the characteristics of the character and justify their abilities and growth.  Here, that's all compromised through the use of a new stat system that doesn't really help anything.

Aside from that, it's pretty good, but again, the description is misleading.  It kind of hints that the spirits of the dead are the system, that's not true.  The spirits are all reinarated as an individual, and that individual is the protagonist.

Crafting cultivation

Reviewed at: More materials

So far it's a nice story very easy going. I'm enjoying the crafting and the methods of how things are and and made though I would say the author is keeping every thing pretty simple

way to slow and little to no character development.

still made me read it up to date so im giving it a follow and hoping there is more time skips. like i get this is a crafting based story but that does not mean that every new chapter has to be 1 week apart. he is still 11 years old for fuck sake.
