The Sins of An Unconceived World
- Traumatising content
The year is 1919. The Great War has ended. At the meeting to sign the Treaty of Versailles, a strange message comes to President Clemenceau, leading him to return to France to investigate a unexplained occurrence. Before leaving, out of anger at being denied justice for France against Germany, he utters the words that will set the end of the world in motion.
"If we cannot seek justice together, I will claim it myself."
This account recreates what might have happened if the Treaty of Versailles was not signed due to an unexpected meteor impact on the outskirts of a village near Limberg. Sooner or later, this small incident snowballs into an avalanche out of control.
Huge machines made possible by eldritch science walk the battlefields. Iron giants float high above smoking ruins. Things born of strange magic live amongst humankind, fighting for or against them. Wars start and end at the whim of the strong, and countries rise and fall in days. Mortals wielding powers never meant for mankind dwarf entire armies, and even more die day after day as the world plunges, unstoppable, into the flames of chaos.
The End has come--and far too soon.
