Interesting

It's interesting, but nothing groundbreaking. The fragments almost go on a slice-of-life fashion. There's a character and plot I don't like, but it doesn't really impact the story in its current form. The setting is interesting too. The fact that it uses current events is interesting, but not necessarily exciting. The tone of the story is relaxed, no pressure, no explicit goal. Things just kinda stack up on previous fragments.
The characters are plain. They're like pieces of a chess board. Each of them are distinct, have synergies, and differing ways they could traverse the plot, but that's kinda it. They don't have concrete weight or rooting in the story. They could easily be uprooted from the story, and there wouldn't be a large impact.
