It had been three weeks since the battle with the Naga and Chris still had many questions. He didn't know were his gauntlet had gone and what the golden seashell he found in his hand was.

He had handed it in to Sycamore but nothing came of it and in the end it was handed back to him as a trophy. The next thing that he didn't know was where the glowing orb he had seen beneath the waves and connected to the Naga.

The past few days it had stayed with him as he awaited any kind of update on the investigations from Imparetor Astrapios.

Right now he was still thinking that as he looked down upon the golden seashell within his hand. He had seen it go through any kind of test and everything came back the same, it was gold made to look like a seashell.

"Guys, pay attention, he is here" Mulengu declared and Chris was drawn from the spell the seashell had cast upon his mind and besides him Ursa left her Grimoire though somewhat reluctantly.

Just then Imparetor Astrapios flanked by Arumu Sycamore and some other older officer's who Chris knew composed the administrative body of the fort, entered the hall from a door to the far left.

The room fell a defining silence as the knights present stood up upon their chairs in respect of their commanding officers.

"Why do you think that we are here?" Thor asked the same question that appeared to be passing through everyone in attendance.

"I don't know, but everyone is here" Chris answered him as he tucked the seashell into his pocket.

"Not everyone, the knights from the red wing seemed to have remained" Pyrrha said.

"Really?" Mulengu looked skeptical as he asked Pyrrha.

"Looking around, do you see any of them here" she said and Chris could see that she was right.

The conference room was a building far larger than the mess hall with thousands of chair's for them to sit on. It had a large podium at the end of the room made from a light brown wood with a long black table resting upon it with multiple large chairs along the table.

This is where the Iron fortresses council sat giving them a near perfect overview of all the knights and troops in the hall as they addressed them.

Everyone watched in silence as Arumu Sycamore neatly placed large folders on the table as the other members of the council sat down with each of them having their own folder. Chris wondered what would be happening as the Fortresses speakers had neglected to tell them why they were gathering.

Imparetor Astrapios arose from his seat and the crowd instantly went silent as he cleared his throat that seemed to get louder as if he had a microphone in his throat.

He then spoke in a voice that had a booming frequency that filled every part of the hall " My fellow defender's of the realm, i in my capacity as a knight of the realm, Imparetor second class and the head director of the Iron Fortress welcome you to this war council ".

" I wonder why this war council was called? " Chris knew that something was wrong, he wondered if a foreign enemy force had breached the defenses and was on it's way to them. Whatever it was, must be big to assemble this amount of knights.

The Imparetor stopped speaking and looked through the crowd as if he was looking for something that was hidden within the masses of humans, faes and elves. His eye's scanned through them and again Chris felt something strange about the man's eyes, as if they saw more than the man let on.

The Imparetor clearly saw whatever it was he was searching for given how he stopped with a smile and twinkle in his eye that further increased Chris's suspension that the man had some sort of optical based magical ability similar to Pyrrha's and Morigan's.

"I supposed that the new comers to our Fortress are excited for you're first missions here in little Geneva" the imperator chuckled for a bit as if he had just thought up an inside joke which Chris couldn't imagine was that funny " For the new comers to the knights core be reminded that you shall need these for every mission".

The Imperator snapped his fingers and thousands of light brown folders materialized in the hands of each knight and solider present including Chris. He felt tempted to open and read his folder but seeing that everyone else hadn't he chose not to and simply rested it on his lap.

"For those of you tasked with A and B rank missions may you excuse yourselves to the other hall please".

Chris looked at the front of his folder that bore the letter C indicating that his mission clearance was still the same as it had been before his rank promotion.

Though as a new and fresh Aeris second class knight it made sense for him to be kept in this mission clearance.

Near a hundred knights and other service personal in total arose from their seats almost simultaneously. Chris could see some knights he recognised from his trading card collection.

Though their names were lost to him, their faces, armor and signature weapons remained fresh in his mind.

They all bore the familiar golden A or B on their folders showing their clearance level for all to see as they left the hall in a calm, disciplined and orderly fashion through a door to the left side of the building that led to some of the more restricted areas in the entire Fort.

Chris wanted to fill upset that he was being left out of what was most certainly bound to be something big and important if that many Arumu and Aeris level knights had been chosen.

But he just couldn't overshadowed or drown the bubbling excitement of being on a sanctioned mission in a long time. The feeling raised the hair on his skin and made him subconsciously tap his foot so fast that it became a blur in shear anticipation.

After all the upper rank knight's had departed from the council hall, Imparetor Astrapios spoke once more though he seemed just as more excited than even the young knights present with his large Cheshire cat like grin and his eyes that seemed to widen as they were in awe of something.

"There is something wrong with that man" Chris was sure that he wasn't the only one to notice that.

"Now my friends onto you're matter at hand, if you may please open your folder to the first page of your file so we may begin you're briefing".

Chris opened his folder and the very first page had the image of a Dullahan taken in deep forest. The dark headless knight was adorned in torn, dented and rotten armor.

It rode atop it's skeletal mount with a whip made from a spine that Chris prayed to Deus wasn't Human, Elf or Fae strapped to it's side along with it's head that was in a great helm. The final touch to the beast was an unnerving green aura that permeated it's very form giving it a foggy, ghostly shape.

"That thing is still the ugliest monster i have ever seen to this day" he could hear Mulengu whisper with a shudder " Not even it's mother would love it".

Chris wanted to argue that point considering there were far worse than the Dullahan out there but since this was about the worst night terror Mulengu had seen he decided to let it be, though the Dullahans were still pretty ugly beast.

"Two days ago we received reports of a nest of Dullahans harassing the settlements living in the dukes woods. The knights units sent to investigate the matter discovered that the nest is an army of thousands and they have began and slowly making their way to the wall".

As the Imparetor explained Chris took a moment to look at the almost four thousand meters high wall that covered a good chunk of the Iron province specifically to keep monsters out.

" What are those things?" Mulengu asked "I can't believe that i didn't ask".

"They are called the Walls of the old age" Chris didn't mind imparting some of his knowledge on the walls "They were built during the early reign of my grandparents. They were built to keep out the night terrors from the land that wasn't covered by the night terrors".

" They are not yet in range of the wall but know that they are a threat to it and the local communities inside of it. As such we have to strike them down before they reach our wall and spread even more damage to little Geneva ".

Chris wanted to know how a large enough collection of night terrors had even managed to gather in the first place " The last time large collections of night terrors met up like this it was during the Phantom King and Mom's dark side attacks. Some thing is off about it and i think everyone can tell... maybe that's what the A and B rank missions are about. I really hope that i am wrong about this".

" All C rank Aeris knight's are to lead a calvary charge through the enemy, shuttering whatever formation they should have built. While this is carried out the D rank Aeris shall form a flanking formation around the enemy and entrap them after the C rank have cut a path through them and with C rank who would have just cut through the enemy shall join the D rank and box them in and then hammer on them until there isn't any left".

The Imparetors battle plan sounded okay enough though Chris wondered why they just didn't just pelt their enemies with long ranged fire and beat down their defense's, but that was soon answered " Now extra chosen C and D rank as well as the E rank shall fire their ranged weapon's from the walls upon the enemy to soften them up for the calvary charge and some of you shall join the flanking formation once it has been implemented and you are to neutralize all enemy long ranged weapons".

" Thank you sir" Arumu Sycamore said clapping her hands as the Imparetor sat down once more and everyone else joined her in clapping while the Imparetor smiled in a manner that reminded Chris too much of a young child who had just been rewarded.

Arumu Sycamore continued speaking "Your various groups shall be led by the best knight's present here. The main calvary unit shall be led by Arumu Beowulf Geat, the flanking factions shall be overseen by Arumu Robert Ula and Arumu Ella Flanders. I shall oversee the long range artillery on the wall's. Now your files hold all the information on your positions and movement's. There are four bumblebee transporters awaiting you outside, you are to board them and await further instructions once within ".

With this final order they were allowed to leave the hall for the six large bumblebee aircraft's that awaited them. Chris in the mean time had been reading his file and from it he knew that he was going to be part of the calvary unit.

"I guess i am the only one who will be on the wall's" Ursa stated as they all finally exited to building and she didn't sound happy about it " Without me what's honestly going to become of you knuckle heads?".

As they neared the landing strip they could now see the large box shaped bumblebee aircraft's that were large enough to rival skyscraper's. These aircraft's had a light grey colouring with a crystalized underbelly that gave the aircraft it's anti gravitational properties.

"At least we know that you have our backs up there" Chris hoped that she felt better about it " I don't know anyone else i could trust with that".

" Thanks" she looked at them and with all the seriousness in the world as she said " Just you guy's take care of yourselves down there and for the love of Deus please don't do anything reckless just to prove some kind of juvenile point to each other".

"Come on Ursa" Mulengu put his arm across her shoulder while Thor appeared besides him and they both gave her a thumbs up while winking " We have got this, I mean engaging in reckless endangerment of our lives... That sound's nothing like us at all".

Ursa simply face palmed while Mulengu and Thor kept smiling and Chris was sure that she might have been crying. He managed to pull Mulengu who was still giving a thumbs up off of her before he spoke.

"Don't worry, i will stop them from being stupid... enough" He really wished he could more reassuring especially since there was a chance he would be in the stupid category.

"I know, it's just Dullahans are something else" Ursa obviously remembered the one time their team had an encounter with one and it had almost cost them their heads, literally "The last thing we need is any of you guy's getting hurt by those thing".

"Don't worry yourself. besides, what's the worst thing that could happen" Chris would one day look back at that and wish he could punch his younger self in the face for daring fate once more.

The girl was finally here and in the fortress as one of its knights no less. This was good news for them, good news indeed. She was an important piece of what was to come.

They were inside their families elder chamber with a table that was overlaid with hundreds of papers all covering the family members who would serve in this important moment of their history.

They cursed as they threw their cup into the fire place as they remembered all the stop's that the families had been pulling to acquire powerful champions from either the outside the clan or even from their experiments within.

Their stress was made worse with the wizard council and fortress all breathing down the clan's neck hard. The insult's that they had to put up with by the so called 'authorities' was enough to drive any self respecting Wizard mad.

They took deep breath's and reminded themselves to remain penitent, everything would come to it's fruition in due course. The ball was already rolling and nothing could stop it.

Prime, the heart and capital of kingdom of Avalon looked once more majestic and grand as the last rays of the retreating sun gave way to the darkness of the night, allowing the city become a hive of lights that shined bright enough to be their own celestial objects.

Within the large palace at the very center of this city, Ishtar Ddraig felt much needed relief as she left the throne room with many other important officials. She had been inside one of the most important meetings of past few months for over fifteen hours without break, and she was exhausted.

She walked down the hallway's of the palace ignoring the other people around her who were looking and pointing at her. She only focused on her destination, the room she had been sleeping in for her stay in the capital. With every step she felt her armor getting heavier and heavier with the sound of her metal feet echoing across the hallway.

She took one of the most guarded elevator's. It took her into one of the lower levels of the palace, hundreds upon hundreds of mile's down below, to a place swarming with heavily armed knights and all manner of wards and enchantments.

She could feel an air pressure so powerful lesser beings would have been crushed by it. This phenomenon was caused by the shear magnitude of the mana floating in the air. It was so intense had she not readied herself for it she would have chocked.

"Mother and Father are really improving their craft " She could sense an increase in the complexity and power of the mystic codes that had been constructed by her parents " Maybe i should ask them if they can upgrade my Tiamat. I heard Christian got some new toy's from Father".

Her room had six heavily armored and armed checkpoints to go through before she could reach it. Had it been her normal room she would have called the security ridiculous but given what she was guarding down here she questioned if it was enough.

The room in question was rather basic made from dull red bricks and with a single bulb high at the center of the roof. She had filled it with two bunk beds, a viewing crystal and at the far end of the room was a metal box that had been inserted into the wall, making it look like some sort of cabinet or a horizontal trunk.

As soon as she entered the same room she could hear both Siegfried and Sun arguing about something in front of the viewing crystal, while Dorothy tried to hid herself in her book's on one of the bed's.

The two idiots were fighting over some video game that they had been playing and usually she would have had to intervene in this madness, but now she was too tired to get involved in whatever the hell this was.

" Hey Ishtar, how did the meeting go?" Sun asked her before he turned and kicked Siegfried off his seat " And also i win Siegfried ".

"No, you don't. you damn monkey!" Siegfried shouted back as he quickly got back up and got in Sun's face " I won, Dorothy saw it. Right Dorothy? ".

Dorothy only gave them a brief, bored glance from her books before answering in a flat uninterested tone "It was a Draw".

" What?!" Both Siegfried and Sun looked at her in total disbelief as they spoke in unison while pointing accusing finger's at her " Don't you dare utter such falsehoods! ".

Ishtar sighed and finally decided to do something about this spat before it went on longer than it should have " Ladies, you're both winners here and let us leave it at that. It was a draw so let's leave it at that".

Both of them remained silent as they looked at each other clearly thinking about what she had just said before wide grins grew on their faces and they shook hands while Sun said " It was a most wonderful match my fellow warrior".

"Yes, it truly was my fellow winner" Siegfried had an equally stupid smile on his face " Our simulated race shall be spoken about in the saga's themselves ".

Away from them Ishtar could see Dorothy giving the two glares so intense that if they could kill, her teammates would be dead a thousand times over in probably some gory fashion.

"How did it go?" Dorothy asked as she finished with her hate glares at the two.

Ishtar sighed as she shifted the armor off her upper body and then she rested it upon the bed as well as herself. She rubbed her sore spots for a while before answering " Better than last time. We've actually made a breakthrough for the first time ".

" So who bought our offer?" now it was Siegfried who asked as he washed away the earlier silliness " And why?".

" It was the Sun empire of all thing's. Everyone else has been giving us dead air no what we try " She still couldn't believe it " After two whole weeks of nothing, they of all people answered us".

" The Sun empire?" Siegfried sounded just as confused as she expected anyone to be "Aren't those guys a little bit at war and you know divided up right now?".

" I should have been more specific, it's the northern Sun empire" She specified what part of the Sun empire was ready to sign a treaty with them " We spent the entire day talking about our term's with them and their term's and most of all we found out something interesting ".

" What's that?" Sun asked her as he turned off the viewing crystal.

" They have an elemental stone" to many other's those words wouldn't have meant much but to them it meant a lot " We can finally hatch the Moon Dragon and end this war".

As she spoke she turned to the metal box that was letting out waves of mana energy wash over them from the magical furnace that was the Moon Dragon egg.

" I wonder why this war council was called? " Chris knew that team or even multi team missions involved the teams being given the documents with the particulars of their mission and a recording from the head officers with further information.

War councils usually meant that something big was about to go down and that it needed the entire fort to get in and help.

The Imparetor stopped speaking and looked through the crowd as if he was looking for something that was hidden within the masses of humans, faes and elves. His eye's scanned through them and again Chris felt something strange about the man's eyes, as if they saw more than physical world all the time.

" Thank you sir" Arumu Sycamore said clapping her hands as the Imparetor sat down once more and everyone else joined her in clapping while the Imparetor smiled in a manner that reminded Chris too much of a young child who had just been rewarded.

And just to justify the comparison, the Imparetor pulled out a large lollipop from his robe and then he shoved it into his mouth and he began to suck on it with a giant grin.

Arumu Sycamore continued speaking "Your various groups shall be led by the best knight's present here. The walls that surrounded the Geneva province were abnormally large. Abnormally large might as well be a understatement in this case as they were unimaginably massive mountain sized constructs that stretched across the size of a small country.

The large bumblebee aircraft's were nothing more than tiny dots next to the massive three thousand meter high jade structure.

The flight here had been mainly uneventful for Ursa, with Mulengu, Chris and Thor on the other bumblebee, the normal brand of crazy she was used to was just lacking. She had tried to strike up a conversation with the girl Meghanada Indrajit from the team of the fae Theseus who believed he was Chris's rival.

The girl unfortunately proved herself to be one of little words and the conversation had ended in less than ten sentences. To kill the time Ursa was shifting through the Grimoire that she had been gifted.

As her fingers traced through the book, she could feel and see the spells imprinted upon it. Over the past few weeks she had been methodically studying every single spell until she could easily recreate them in mind.

Her reading ended as the bumblebee finally landed and their ramps opened. As soon as she stepped out off the bumblebee and unto the polished green crystal megastructure, she looked around to study it's style of creation.

It was composed of intricately designed guardrails that were covered in carvings and engravings of warriors fighting creatures of every sort, Ursa suspected that it told the history of the walls. large canon like weapons lined the walls edge and what appeared to be castle tower's of sort's could be found on the walls seventy meter's apart from each other.

"This thing " She tried to think of anyway to properly describe the wall as she took in it's majesty and splendor " How come i never noticed it before?".

She had slept through this part of the trip when they had first come to little Geneva but still she should have seen this or someone should have awoken her to see it. It felt unfair to see it from here on the top alone and not be introduced to the structure from the ground up, as it should have been.

"Everyone knows ground shots are the best way to take the majesty of something " she thought infuriated as she reminded herself to smack her friends.

" Get into position!" She could hear Arumu Sycamore ordering with a black crossbow of sort's being held with a firm grip in the woman's right hand. Arumu Sycamore moved to the guardrails, giving them an example of what to do now.

" Prepare your Hawkeye's!".

Arumu Sycamore ordered them once more as some sort of yellow markings made themselves manifest around the both of her eyes like tribal tattoo's of sort's. Ursa might not have been able to easily read magical code but even she could tell that the markings were truly complex.

Ursa was impressed by the level of power and experience needed for one to just activate and use the Hawkeye art on a whim like this and without any strain if the complex magical code she had gleamed was anything to go by.

Ursa might be able to do the same with years of practice, but right now she didn't have years. So she reached for one of the hidden compartments hidden by her right thigh and she dug in for a minute or two before pulling out a pair of black and purple aviator goggles that helped her actively use Hawkeye.

And as it turned out she wasn't the only one who needed an enchanted item to replicate the power of the Hawkeye's affects.

So many of her fellow knights had enchanted head gears like visor's, glasses, headbands, strange crowns of sort's and even contact lenses to aid them with simulating the Hawkeye.

As soon as the goggles were rested over her eye's Ursa felt the veins around her eyes grow in size as constant tingling sensation almost like electric volts were dancing around her eyeballs and the most of all, her vision became better, clearer and it was almost like a telescope of sort's.

Three thousand meters below she could see everything from the green grass being moved by slight winds to the birds nesting in the trees and even the insects crawling on the ground. It all appeared to be so close that she felt that by just leaning down, she could reach and touch it.

"Defender's of the realm, get in position!" once again Sycamore gave another order " Velocity factions, you mount the V guns now and you kids get your bows, guns and everything ready".

Ursa took her position and with deep calming breaths with hooked her fingers to Boudicca's bowstring. Her eyes scanned the forest floor until she found them.

The Dullahans, were legion's of headless riders streaking throughout the forest at high speeds. Their foul presence turned the grass yellow, the earth black and the trees withered to simple nothingness before the night terrors who brought with them certain death.

"It looks just like Pyrrha's Alpha-spell " Ursa knew that she had seen this power somewhere before.

Her heart was thumping harder and harder like a drum being furiously beaten by a man incensed. She could still hear Sycamores orders for them to ready themselves and she got into a proper firing stance like her fellow comrades.

"Can you see them?" She heard a monotone female voice enquire besides her.

She turned to her left to find the owner of the voice and standing there was a young woman with long light purple hair tied into a pony tail.

Her armor as well was almost similar to Ursa's in the fact that it some sort of samurai inspired armor though her's was yellow and black unlike Ursa's purple. In her hands was a bow, a Yumi bow that was coloured black with red strip's that was the only thing different from Ursa's English longbow.

The girl had a yellow headband with some sort of purple bird printed upon it. Her eyes were milky white with purple tribal tattoo's around her eyes, similar to Arumu Sycamore but different in design.

"I wonder if mine look good" she thought about her Hawkeye design "Yes, i am Ursa by the way, Ursa Falcon ".

The girl looked at her with a strange look plastered on her face as she looked away trying to hide her face from Ursa and said " Yes, i know ".

Ursa wanted to inquire as to what the girl meant with that ominous tone but before a single word could escape her lips, she heard Arumu Sycamore order with all the fury in the world for them to set their shot's.

Ursa tightened her grip of her bowstring as she could feel an electric titling feeling surging through her body as a purple flaming arrow began to form on her bow. She poured more and more Mana into the arrow until it was a blazing purple arrow with waves of light energy flowing across the shaft.

She heard a gasp of surprise from her side that belonged to the girl with the Yumi bow. Ursa couldn't help but smirk at the feeling of surprising someone with her light magic.

She remembered the king and queen having a similar reaction when they showed them their new abilities after the battle in the Nexus.

" Ready!" Arumu Sycamore called once more.

Ursa pulled back her bowstring further with her eyes focused on the legions of monsters that came riding for the walls, before the order to Fire rang across the entire wall.

And then she let it loose. The very feeling of the arrows heat slipping from her fingers, sent a shiver down her spine

The projectiles all took off near simultaneously. They shot down like meteorites, leaving shockwaves as they shuttered the sound barrier. They all descended at hypersonic speed's so fast that they all covered the three thousand meter distance in just a single second.

The impact of the hundreds of projectile's striking the forest area was more akin to an area being carpet bombed by multiple nuclear bombs. The air pressure and the heat released by the explosion's could be felt by everyone on the wall.

Ursa felt the saliva in her mouth vanish from the heat and the air felt crisp. The only time when she had experienced such heat was when the Hydra had nuked her and her friends.

The earthquake that followed the explosions was enough to shake the wall and the nearby mountain ranges heavily as a mushroom cloud of sorts formed from the scorched remains of forest area that the Dullahan had been marching in.

The dust cloud was so large in fact that it was blotting out the sun itself for hundreds upon hundreds of miles, until it was like a moonless night.

"That seems a bit too excessive " She thought as she studied the destructive apocalypse, that they had created.

Ursa like many other's had seen all sort of displays of biblical destructive power since she got to Avalon and even at one point they had seen the queen surface wipe an entire planet with her Alpha-spell.

But displays of this type of power was still something that made her leg's tremble as she looked on in awe and in fear as tried to imagine what it would be like to be at the end of something like that.

She stopped when she remembered the swords of Nimue that had each performed similar feats of destruction.

"I don't know what's sadder, the fact that i have been through these near death moment's. Or that i still coming back for this stupid job " shehe sighed as she relaxed her muscles " Those Dullahans, how could they survive all of that? ".

She might not have been an expert on the headless riders but she knew that they weren't Hydra's or Dragons in terms of their ability to spit in the face of death. At least normally they shouldn't be, if those books about these beasts were correct.

Arumu Sycamore on the other had didn't seem impressed by the blast that had just rearranged much of the forest area into a hell scape of pure rock melting heat, in fact she seemed more underwhelmed if that facial expression was anything to go by and Ursa just couldn't tell why.

She sighed before ordering them once more " Everyone take a step back".

They all took a few steps back from the edge of the wall. Arumu Sycamore raised both of her hands as she took a deep breath before she violently blew the air from her lungs out, and the air around her followed the example with wild torrent winds that blew away the dust and smoke that had settled over the ground zero and the skies.

Within a few seconds the winds had blown all of it away leaving the scorched and beaten earth exposed and much to Ursa's amazement decent remnants of the Dullahan army still standing as the knights on the ground came in for their charge.

"Don't do anything stupid you idiot's" she kept her fingers on the bowstring just in case.

Chris was feeling both a surge of fear and exhilaration brimming from his chest. This contradiction of emotion's was brought about by the intense speeds that he was subject to as his mount a gryphon raced towards the Dullahan who had survived the explosions rained down by the units on the wall.

He could feel his leg's trembling from fear but at the same time he could feel his heart beating from the shear excitement that was making him grin in his helmet.

The surviving Dullahans and the scorching heat around him was both exciting and terrifying. Those twisted beasts, all atop their demonic mounts, easily fit in with the rest of the twisted environment that he was racing through.

With his left hand holding the gryphon's reigns and his right on a red tipped silver lance, he raced in with everyone else in tight formation in order to cut through the Dullahan.

The knight at the head of this charge raised his lance as signal for them to ready themselves for the heavy clash with the Dullahan. The headless riders had clearly seen them and were preparing for the confrontation.

His helmet became hotter and sweater as the heat finally began to get to him " The heat is getting through my armor's rune defenses.... I wonder if the amount of mana poured into this one area has made it a giant cursed area like the Shadow lands".

They neared the beast's and he raised his lance ready to plough through their ranks. The impact that followed almost rocked him off his mount but he kept on as his lance tore through multiple unlucky Dullahan with all the furiousness of a wood's liger.

Though Chris wasn't left untouched in this encounter as many swords, maces and spears beat against his armor like battering rams against the gates of a city.

But none of them could cut or beat in his armor and all he could show for it were some scratches at his paint and some pain because being smacked by a giant hammer still hurt no matter how good your armor was.

The Iron Fortress's calvary broke through the Dullahans disorganized lines like a hot knife through partly melted butter. Chris took a moment to look behind himself at some of the Dullahan that he had torn to shreds with his lance.

Some creatures that had been torn in half by him appeared to be healing, as if their torn body parts were being willed back together by an invisible force of sort's. On the other hand some of them remained dead on the ground, their bodies dissolving into a dark purple mist.

"Some older Night terrors can heal from just about anything " he remembered the Hydra as he fought not so long ago as an example of that and then there those other's that posed healing abilities that made them immortals.

" They are like the Vampire from the song of the sun " he remembered the epic about the old knight Enki and how he fought an impossible to kill vampire for six whole days without break, before he slew it.

Chris was about to turn his head back to the road when he heard someone shriek or yell either in surprise or in pain. He looked to his right where the sound had emanated from and he watched in shock and horror as a fellow knight was dragged off their mount by the whip of a Dullahan.

The flexible bone whip had wrapped itself around the neck of the red and green knight before yanking them off their gryphon and sending them crashing hard onto the ground.

It was instinct that propelled Chris to pull his gryphon's reigns and it race towards the knight who appeared dazed and unaware of the Dullahan looming over them and the other Dullahans racing towards.

Each of the creatures had wicked, twisted and ungodly weapons drawn and ready to end their lives. Chris was sure the weapons would eventually be the cause of the knights demise should they be left to face the Dullahan alone.

He could see the Dullahan that had pulled down the knight, drawing it's rusted monstrosity of a great sword high above, in order to impart a cleaving strike upon the knights head.

"His helmet can take the hit, but the more magical energy in imparted in a strike, the more likely it can undo his armors bonds. I can't risk it " he could sense the sword brimming with magical energy.

Chris took up his lance in his right hand and with powerful throw, the weapon flew the aire like a javelin straight into the Dullahan's chest. The impact of the lance sent the headless rider flying off it's mount and away from the downed knight.

He called to the knight and struck out his hand indicating that they were to grab his hand as soon as he was close enough for them to escape these unfavorable odds.

The knight seemed to understand, at least that's what Chris thought, though their great helm obstructed their face all he could go with was that they were looking in his general direction and fighting to remove the whip was the best he had to go on.

Chris was close, within an arm's reach of the fallen knight in fact, when some sort of large blade flew right into his face with the force of a bomb. The impact rocked him to his core and while he was protected from the blade, he soon found himself crashing onto the hard scorched earth in the same predicament the knight he was trying to save was in.

His gryphon roared in outraged and it joined the battle, leaping upon the Dullahan that had attacked him and the bread beasts beak tore thorough it's victim.

"I like that big guy" He mentally cursed as he pushed himself off the ground.

Unfortunately for him it was just in time for a Dullahan to throw itself on him and send him back tumbling to the ground with headless night terror that was trying to stub him with a dagger like a mad man.

Chris wrestled with the headless knight, that was almost as strong as he was. The creature threw it's fist's and it slammed it's body against his but Chris was better and he soon threw it off himself.

He tried rising once more but the Dullahans head which was still very much active for a half rotted corpse, jumped for his crotch with it's jaws snapping like a snapping turtle and like any man with his precious piece threatened, he screamed and wildly kicked the head away.

"I hate these things" he shuddered as he grabbed his precious area " why, why would they try that?!".

He wasted no time and got up to his feet to see the knight already befallen upon by the Dullahans who seemed to have turned it into a game of how far they could smack the knight around.

Chris could see more and more Dullahans nearing their location and he was left with two options. He could reach for his gryphon that was tearing through it's own Dullahans and run to safety dooming this knight or he could help them and risk more Dullahans coming on them and killing them both.

"Curse my conscious " he gripped his hand around Lucius-aurora's hilt as he drew the blade.

" Hey, uglies! " he shouted as loud as he could in order to get their attention.

One Dullahan heard him and it turned to face him with a axe in it's right hand that it brandished threateningly. The head hanging by it's side was scowling at him and Chris had to fight himself from laughing at how utterly humorous it looked.

The head must have noticed because it turned from scowling to growling, with it's fangs showing like some sort of wild beast.

" I know that you're mother probably told you that you are good looking... " he got into the necessary stance to rush this foe " ...she kind of lied and no i am not saying this because you are a literal monster but it's because i am honest person and i had to tell you the truth".

The head raised it's eyebrow confused by what it just heard and Chris had to agree with it. He sounded too stupid as he spoke.

" Sorry, i kind of got lost in my word's there".

The Dullahan shrugged in response before it charging as it roared out what appeared to be some sort of screeching sound like nails on a chock board. The sound was so painful that Chris almost tore off his helmet in order to pluck out his ears.

"I have heard Hydra's roar, but this sound has made me hate your species even more " he fought against the noise.

As it charged him, Chris charged the beast as well. He slid by it avoiding it's axe that narrowly nicked a small part of his forehead, courtesy of the beast's surprising nimbleness.

Lucius-aurora was driven through it's mounts skeletal leg. That sent it tumbling over and he might have got to finish the job but he didn't have time. More Dullahan were coming and against just two knights would not be a fight that favoured them.

So he rushed forward to the Dullahan tormenting the downed knight. So engrossed in this act of sheer pettiness were they that none of them noticed Chris rushing them with his sword drawn and ready to slice through them.

The sword instantly found itself splitting one Dullahan in half from the its left shoulder to it's right abdomen in a single clean swing.

Killing one of their own was enough to grab their attention and the others turned to him with malice and hatred.

One brought it's whip down at him but Chris managed to catch the whip with his right hand. As the whip remained in his hand a blanket of ice coated it and the Dullahan's arm.

Chris tugged the Dullahan down from it's mount and into the embrace of Lucius-aurora. After the Dullahan dissolved, Chris was about to rush another Dullahan when something came down hard onto his back.

The impact of the blow instantly dropped him onto the ground face first and Chris was praying that none of his bones were broken as the pain was horrible, like his back had been pounded repeatedly by a large boulder.

One of the Dullahan came racing towards him with a lance that was aimed low to maim him. Chris had doubt's that his armor survive the piercing force that was burrowing his way.

As the lance neared him his gryphon crashed upon the Dullahan and with ease it tore apart the headless rider from limb to limb.

The other Dullahan were two busy trying to crack the knight out of his shell to notice Chris leaping towards them. He managed to tackle one of them off of their horse and quick stab from Lucius-aurora was enough to keep it down.

The other turned it's attention to him and began trotting towards him, slowly and carefully. Chris took a few breath's as he too carefully sized up his opponent.

He watched how its hand tightened against the handle of the spiked mace it had used to bash against the other knight. He watched it's mount that was breathing out a sickly puff of smoke as it got ready to charge.

"Alright big guy" he stretched his arm and readied Lucius-aurora " come and give it to me".

The Dullahan appeared ready as it's head let out that screeching hell that was it's voice. Chris steeled himself not to get distracted by the horrific sound.

Then before any of the them could so much as twitch a quick sound similar to something moving very fast through the air was heard. The Dullahan instantly stopped and it's green light began to dim slowly before it just fell off it's mount in two pieces.

Chris looked on in confusion as it's mount joined it in death as the two were linked. Standing behind the Dullahan was the knight with a light ocean blue katana. The knight was knelling down on one knee while gasping for air.

Chris rushed to the knights side to help them back onto their feet " Need a hand".

The knight excepted his help. Their footing was a little shaky, and their hand trembled a bit probably from the pain and the knight sounded out of breath with how they gasped for air.

They reached for their helmet and pulled it off revealing a young man with black shoulder length hair, green emerald eyes and a bruised face, that looked rather feminine. It made Chris wonder if the blue hair made him look like that too.

"Are you okay?" Chris asked him as he watched the Dullahans nearing them. The knight answered him by nodding " Good, cause we really need to go before their friends get here".

The two of them began running to Chris's gryphon that had just finished off it's last Dullahan but as they neared it a Dullahan jumped between them and their ticket to freedom. Chris recognized it as the one he didn't finish off when he first attacked the Dullahan.

"By the soiled loincloth of Old king Magog!".

He cursed out in frustration at himself for not finishing it off when he had the chance. He watched the creature unhook its head from it's side and point at them before the head screeched out a different sound that seemed more like shouting by a thousand voices and they all called his name.

As it's cursed voice escaped it's half rotten lips everything in his direction began to break down as if rotted. The hard boiled ground instantly lost it's heat, the hard earth became cold black sand in which no life could be found, the giant house sized rocks and trees that survived the blast instantly turned to dust in the face of the Dullahans death call.

This death call was a curse unique to the Dullahan and like Pyrrha's Alpha-spell it enforced death upon all who heard it or were caught in it's blast radius.

" It's gonna take more than death call to kill two knights, so i suggest... " Chris never finished as an arrow descended from the heaven's and struck the Dullahan hard enough to render it into dust as it's death call had done to all the other things around them.

Chris recognized the purple arrow as it dispelled and he looked to the sky and while he could not see Ursa and it was probably for the best, because having to listen to her possible tirade would be too much.

Anyway he gave a thumbs up to the skies and said " Thanks for the save Ursa".

With no obstacles left the two knights were racing for safety with a swarm of Dullahans in tow. The gryphon might have been enough to out run some Dullahan but others were closing the distance and the rain that was Ursa's arrows weren't enough to kill them all.

Chris kept cursing the headless riders in his head as he could see six of them getting closer and closer with each passing second and the whips in their hands didn't do much to alleviate his worries.

Then a loud crack was heard in the skies as multiple orange bolt's of lightning rained down on the Dullahan, killing a few of them. Chris smiled and threw his fists to the air in joy as he watched the the knights core racing to him with their weapons drawn.

They came from each angle having boxed the Dullahan in and at the front lines he could see Thor, Mulengu and Pyrrha racing towards him upon mounts of their own.

"Where the hell where you?" Mulengu asked him as he cut down a Dullahan.

"Saving a comrade" Chris made sure to give him a view of the knight who was still hanging on to his back.

" Hey there" Mulengu waved as the death storm that was Pyrrha Ulster joined them with a Dullahans head mounted on her spear.

"Christian, are you well?" Chris wanted to tell her to get back to her own business but Pyrrha grabbed his face and began inspecting him for any wounds " You are bleeding, but it is only a flesh wound".

Chris wanted to die there and then as Mulengu and Thor laughed their heads off and Pyrrha kept inspecting him like he was a child.

More Dullahans began pouring towards them and Thor raised MjĂžlnir, calling down more and more bolts of lighting upon them.

"They just don't quit do they?" Thor asked as more and more came racing through the hail of lighting bolt's.

"I think that they are too excited to meet us " Mulengu grabbed one of the Dullahan and he hurled it into the air where it was met with a lighting bolt.

The battle between the Dullahan and the knights core was in full swing as of now. Chris watched as both forces crashed into each other once more with a great fury.

The knight who he had rescued looked at the battle with longing and Chris knew what to ask.

"You want go back in there?" He knew that they would have to again but he needed the knights permission.

"Yes".

"Okay" Chris said as he pulled the reigns of his gryphon and the mount began charging into battle " By the way i never got your name ".

" Hojo Anjin Antoku" he answered once more and Chris revved his calvary before jumping once more into the fray.

Integrating magic into normal old earth style circuit boards was a pain in areas best left unmentioned for the patriarch of the Falcon family. Even for someone like him with knowledge in both fields.

He sighed putting away yet another blown circuit board as he decided to take a break. Maybe to drink some water or just sleep off the headache that was tormenting him, he was getting off his seat when he heard knock on his door.

This was a most curious thing. His wife didn't need to and had never knocked on the door to their workshop. His daughter, well she had told him that she had duty this morning, so unless she was pulling a prank he wasn't sure.

Deciding to humor this curious moment he answered the knock with permission to enter and the most unlikely face walked into his workshop.

" Brother? ".
