First thing's first, yes you hould read this.
The story at least to start out with is a little slow but I don't mind since I just love to read the MC monologue. The author also does a great job actually describing and emoting the world, something that I find often lacking with other RR stories.
What can I say? This story is the very definition of mysterious. In a good way! It's a page-turner all right!
A great writing style that conveys a strong character voice. Each chapter begins with a mystery and ends with a cliffhanger. Each chapter can honestly probably function successfully as it's own one-shot. Love the writing style.
Just the usual couple of spelling/punctuation hiccups. Nothing egregious.
Everything in this story--characters and plot alike--is shrouded in mystery and nothing is revealed right away. Chapter by chapter, we get to learn about the MC's current circumstances and who she is as a person. She's written in a believable way. There's a bit of oddity in the story and things in the small town the MC has just moved into just don't seem quite right. That aside, the side characters are intriguing--especially Camilla and Sweets. We don't quite have a villain yet though!
Overall, a quick and enjoyable read with a style and strong character voice that keep it interesting.
combining shorter chapters may improve readability. also you can leave author's note seperately from the story in a different box!!
