The Romance Tag is There for a Reason
Reviewed at: Chapter 31
So, ok, first things first. No spoilers. The story is well crafted, with no grammar errors. The sort of book that in a different era you might see in a bookstore. The worldbuilding is interesting, with a magical war/purge being mostly over, and our MC being a medic, essentially, fleeing the war to the big city. Characters are believable.
The protagonist is gay. Which seemed likely from the blurb, but wasn't obvious.
The plot is a Romance [he's so hot, but he's wrong for me; etc etc], with a bit of Mystery.
This is, I think, aimed at a YA audience. There haven't been any twists that are surprising. And I suspect the big reveal is going to be obvious a mile away.
There are going to be some people who love this. Good luck!

It is an interesting tale. Well enough world built and good characters, no glaring grammatical mistakes. Overall, an interesting tale
