A dark evil threatens the world that Kass recently found herself in, but she is no hero, just a girl that is trying to survive another hour.  Join Kass on her journey through hostile lands and dark dungeons where she will come across all sorts of trouble as well as the occasional loot.  If she's lucky, maybe even epic or legendary!  It doesn't take long for Kass to realize her spot on the food chain with hungry monsters at every turn, but through thick and thin she begins to learn just what it takes to survive in this new world. She is but a lone wanderer.  A Vagabond.

This story is written as a LitRpg.  It contains class systems, skill trees, and of course, lots of loot.  (Don't be alarmed to not see any class systems in the first few chapters, they'll be there soon enough)

Was really surprised with this one.  Started off strong and kept on running!  The grammar was great throughout and I felt like this story was a fresh breath of air.  Keep up the good work! Will be reading more.

Straight-up adventure

Just a fun, exciting survival story.  MC doesn't know how she ends up in a new world and barely survives being chased/hunted by the denizens.  Eventually gains a companion, and gets a little better understanding of the world, but still just trying to survive in the viscious wilderness.

Well-written survival story with exciting class choice

Reviewed at: 28.5 Poll

The story starts with the Earth human Kass suddenly having to run away from a fantasy monster in what is probably not Kansas anymore. When she barely survives that unpleasant situation, she finds out that there is a litRPG stat/skill system and that she has an unexpected helper even though she is in up to her neck in danger. This might just be what she needs to survive in a world where everything is out to kill and/or eat her...

Style/Grammar: The story is told in third-person style. Most of it is from Kass' internal point of view and includes her thoughts and internal comments, but some scenes show a different entity's perspective, often while watching Kass.
Kass' internal musings are told with a rather informal (not stupid) word choice, fitting for the thought processes of a young woman, but this is done well. There is a nice amount of descriptions without losing itself in unnecessary detail. The grammar is good and typos are corrected quickly when pointed out. LitRPG elements only start a few chapters into the story and show Kass' stats, skills or her combat log, the system seems solid so far. Some chapters are a bit cluttered by blue boxes (now she has one health point less, now she has regenerated one mana...).

Story: No rest for isekai'd people on RRL, Kass has to jump out of the frying pan into the fire just to save her life.  Monster one, monster two, hostile encounter, monsters three and four at the same time... with one danger following the other, the pacing is rather quick so far. But there are still moments where the MC can panic about her new life or choose the next skill. Don't get me wrong, this story is not just a simple sequence of encounters, there is a storyline with depth going on, though one that has only been hinted at by now. I hope that there will be more non-action scenes in the future so that the story does not become too one-sided.

Characters: Not unexpected for a story that starts in underground tunnels full of monsters, there are not many characters beside the MC. Earthling Kass is a young woman who finds herself in a deadly situation but she is coping well (on the other hand, all those isekai'd people who are eaten by the first monster the meet don't get stories written about them). From the internal POV we get to know her rather quickly, she is smart enough to choose the best options for her situation (unlike the MCs of other stories who choose what the author needs for maximum drama) but still normal enough not to breeze through everything in an unrealistic way.
From the other points of view we got glimpses into some other heads, those characters are more than just stereotypical nobodies as well.

All in all, this is a "surviving alone with a litRPG system" story, a type of story often seen on RRL. What makes this one stand out from the rest are the pleasant writing style, a unique Class with surprises (not an "OP melee fighter", not a "swordsman-mage-assassin-scholar-beastmaster-and-more") and a believable plot (so far, we're still early in the story).

Just binged this and....

I have to state I've enjoyed it fully. The grammar didn't raise any red flags, the story had depth and intrigue and despite a few tropes was very fun.

That said, even more then most game lits, this makes me think of a game as much as a story. Because

Spoiler: Spoiler

A different take on a System Transmigrator

Reviewed at: 32. Blasting

At its core this story is nothing really new on Royalroad. A girl gets transmigrated to another world, barely survives her first encounters with monsters, discovers the System, gets a special class and abilities that depend on luck, which she got a boost for.

Now that's where this story is actually unusual. There's always awesome skills and items for her to choose, but as it turns out those are rarely the best pick for her situation. So she actually picks what she needs.

I rather like this pragmatic take on a survival story. Where the protagonist doesn't take the rarest skills that promise the most payoff in a far future, but the skills that help her survive in a dire situation now. For all that the story is following a well trot path, this is what's making it unique and actually feel real.

Hard decisions are about her personal growth instead about how many people she feels like butchering for XP.

Girl tossed into Underground World with a System

Reviewed at: 34. Puddles

Story is on hiatus at the bottom of my follow list.  It was fast paced, exciting, and is also abandoned.  MC is essentially normal girl stuck into the equivalent of the Underdark, and she survives, slowly gaining in power.  Her skill picks are driven by short-term survival, and it was just a great set-up with the right amount of narrative tension (3rd person perspective).   Then it abruptly cuts off.   I enjoyed what I read of it and wish the author the best on their next work.

A short sharp read currently. Female MC, which is always a plus for me.

Worth reading, although it won't take you very long.

Good stuff Brightland, thanks!

Disclaimer: read till chapter 19.

I have nothing to complqin about, that said i just dont feel like reading it. I forced myself to read the last 6 chapters. What should be trilling and interesting, in any other novel just left me blank in this one.

So give it a try, i guess?
