When war flotsam washes up on a shore

A very beautiful, subtle and complete textured imagining.

Loosely based on Wutosama's Metaworld it projects itself into its own space as a fully realised place with its own cultures and past.

Well written and worth a read, looking forward to more when the author gets an itch from his muse to add to the tale.

Great idea about a way to use established universe without running into coherence problems with main work, isolation allows for freedom and interesting plot opportunities. Some similarities can be seen between MC's abilities and Gwen's (double elements for example), while focusing on barely touched Enchantment school or exploring demihuman societies in this unique setting. Magic system is consistent with one we know from Metaworld and new spells fit the world.

Independent story on an established world

Reviewed at: Chapter 1 : The child and the Stone

Nice thrust into the world that grabs your attention. The story is narrated by a third person but you feel affinity with the main character (Damien). Hope he continues with the same pace. I have read just the first chapter so far but it seems very charming and intriguing.

Big fan of MWC. This is a charming side story, well-worth the read.
Engaging characters, a bit of intrigue, and guts
