What would a Xianxia MC do?
Seriously, what would they do? Asking for a friend.

Ok, this novel should be on your top to read list on RR. funny , new perspective from the story , you being the master of the MC and trying to survive, absolutely compelling.
Give it a try, you wont be dissapoint.
And of course my review isn't 50 word ling, lol
Easily equal to Villain Wants to Live. The comedy at the start was top notch. Story wasnt the best but the plot twists were handled pretty well so not much complaints there. Characters are decent, none made me gag from anger/frustations like the ones from beware of chicken. Romance was meh,not really the focus of the story, definitely doesnt compare with Martial arts master from the writter of Lord of the mysteries but atleast it isnt annoying like most. Great fkn novel dawg
Good Satire of Xianxia, pop culture references, and puns. Good worldbuilding. No complex characters so far because it's not a serious story, just read to enjoy and share with others to let them enjoy.
However, it's all a mask, it's a lure, it will suck you in its light-hearted theme but it has layers of heavy misunderstanding of MC with his Xianxia novels knowledge and System powers on real Xianxia world rules and other factors.
You will stay with this story because of MC's constant satire of Xianxia tropes but his life hanging in balance if others find out he is not the real but different soul in someone else body.
Other characters are also Xianxia tropes based or somewhat similar and overly calculative kinda like MC but still have enough traits to differ from MC. You will only read this story for MC only not for other characters which I am sure of it.
It's a System-Story and the plot is beyond Galatic level and involves System origin and cosmic level shit tangled between System powers.
But, we are here for this same kind of story if we know how this is going to play out. So enjoy and bring others too. This story is a celebration, a Party! Enjoy! CHEERS!
(Oct 2021) - Auther came back after 2 years of covid hiatus and gifted us 70+ chapters like a Santa. We all thought he was lost in Covid, I can't be happier to see him back with Bang!
I dunno y the rating so high... All I can say is...ANNOYING... the more I read the more it irritate the readers...
Well, atleast its all good at start...
Let me say this story is a joke on stories I don't normally like but at the same time sticking to those same themes to make fun of them. Oddly it's very enjoyable 😂 kinda like beware of chicken in the making fun of op Chinese MCs who defy heaven and earth. Story is well written characters are easy to like and understand, world building is constant and well done Grammer is easy to read with few to no mistakes. I was actually sad when I got to the most up to date chapter.
This is an entertaining story that I would recommend to anyone who has read Xianxia and is familiar with the genre's tropes. The humor is consistent throughout the story and the story doesn't try to take itself too seriously.
Their are a few gripes I have however. The first with his romantic life, of which there is nothing. An "arrogant" young master would have a different woman in his bed every night. Now, it doesn't exactly fit the character of the man the MC took his body over, but the MC is still male with hormones where I assume he wasn't celiabate. Seriously, I he doesn't even need a Dao companion or a wife or whatever, but his complete aversion slightly dampens the story.
(Now at one point he did have thoughts go to a brothel in the mortal world, didn't act on them.)
The second gripe I have with the story is the confusing morality of the MC. He'll have no problem extinguishing a person's soul at one point, but then worry about killing at another? No problem having subordinates doing it but suddenly feels it is wrong if he does? Some consistency would be nice. He doesn't need to be a ruthless MC but I feel as if these problems should have been sorted out early on (especially with his new mother and her family.)
The third gripe is the lack of world building. It is honestly difficult to understand all these different realms and how they relate to one another, the history of said realms, what netherworld demons are, how netherworld demons are related to void beings, and how you rank higher beings. It feels very hapazardly put together rather than having a cohesive structure. Not that you have to spell everything out to the reader the first time something is mentioned, but dropping hints throughout different 'arcs' could help.
The final gripe isn't with the story but with the inconsistent uploads. It's hard to build up a dedicated fanbase and have weekly readers without a consistent schedule. Something like 2 chapters a week would be much appreciated instead of potentially waiting 6 months for 50 chapters.
Overall, I do like the concept, I just find a few tweaks could turn a good story into a great one.
(Also, concerning the most recent author's note, the lack of new MCs for the MC to nuture and how you plan for this to have 300 or so chapters is a bit offputting. I honestly think if in the future you do a serious rewrite, pace things out more, and add some more sophisticated humor (keeping the generic trope humor), a bit more serious tone at times, more MCs that he picks up in different worlds, etc this could be a genuine gem and become something that could make a bit of money for you.)
