Jonathan Slate, former Marine infantry officer and the Governor of Texas, has just won his bid for the presidency. When an assassin's bullet takes his life during his victory speech, he is conscripted from the afterlife by the Lord of Light, Lucidus. To his dismay, Slate is thrust into the game-like world of Somnium where he had been reincarnated into the body of a parasite.

If he can channel the monster inside and utilize his military and political experience to establish Lucidus' personal army, the Scourge, he might have a chance to evolve before his many enemies find him and send him to a permanent death.

In book one of the Scourge Wars, Slate must accomplish one thing: Evolve or die.

I was just tearing through the chapters like Slate after his evolution and then all of a sudden they're gone???

EXCUSE ME. I WAS READING THOSE.

I am really enjoying your story. Blood, gore, strategy, perspective, story building, world building, lore. It's all good.

And now it's gone. My feelings? Hurt.

Good, But Needs a Bit of Work

Reviewed at: Epilogue

The story (as of the epilogue so far) is pretty good and has a great plot in my opinion, although it is overall rough.  At times, the story seems to move a bit quickly and jittery, almost destroying the flow that had taken place, and the character building seems rushed.  In addition, there are a few spelling and grammatical errors that, while typically not debilitating to read, are quite noticable.  I would still recommend this story.

This story is bort entertaining and interesting. I was pretty much hooked from the beginning.

I should point out the review from Gobbo about smut is pure BS. As off chapters 15 there have been no smut scenes. It's all been mentioned it happened and then fade to Black.

I like the story and while i usualy like more boxes with my litrpg i feel you have it figured out with less.

I like your Evolution. Im pretty sure you're using the same idea as Crysalis with Biomass etc. It's great fun too see mutations and their effect.

Keep up the good work. I'll bookmark and favourite this story.

It's nice to see something new in the non-human mc lit-rpg stories here, especally well written ones. Because I'm not certain but most tend to go the unholy/elements road so this was a nice change of pace.

Super excited to see this on Amazon, I'm absolutely loving it!

I'm stoked to read the next book!

This story follows a leader, of the human population, go through an exuberant amount of changes. However, through pure sheer willpower and persistence, he excels in his new environment.

He adapts not only mentally but essentially melts into the role he was meant to fill (pun intended).
