Vainqueur the Dragon

by Void Herald

Original ONGOING Adventure Comedy Fantasy Satire Anti-Hero Lead LitRPG Multiple Lead Characters Non-Human lead Strong Lead

Vainqueur Knightsbane is your average dragon: a giant, fire-breathing lizard who loves to take naps on his golden hoard, kidnap princesses for fun, and make the life of adventurers miserable. Vainqueur's only pleasure in life is to watch his treasure get bigger, one coin at a time.

So when a would-be thief turned unwilling minion tells him about "classes," "levels," and "quests," Vainqueur wonders if maybe, just maybe, he should consider a career change.

After all, why bother hunting monsters for free when you can get paid for it?

i like it, what can i do about it.

it's pretty interesting and i think the strong suit in this series, it's the comedy. the MC (the dragon) grows a bit during each chapter, and his human minion learns to goad it to do less destructive actions.

there's a whole lot a fun in between. the only thing i'm worried about it's the end game or the final objetive, since i don't really see a clear finish line with the story it could turn repetitive.

It’s a unique premise, set in a classic world. It’s basically about a dragon who realizes, “Why be the end boss when you can be the one who kills the end boss.”

How is a book this awesome?!?!

This book is BLEEPING HILARIOUS!!! Great premise and execution, and even great grammar and sentence structure! You have to read this book, and I personally can't wait to see where this story goes!

I haven't had so much fun reading a story in a long 6 months and this was good

Not really much of a review but if your looking for a good laf read this and so far I dont have many negatives to say about this only 1 and that is that the dragon is a little dim in the head

If you read the blue Mage raised by Dragons and liked the Humour you are gonna like this one as well.

Lighthearted approach to a grossly overpowered being gaining access to the „system“

A wonderful story about what happens when a dragon is introduced to the System and the concept of being paid to kill and loot things. A few minor typos here and there. A fun, lighthearted read.

Bonus points for having a non-reincarnated dragon main character.

  • Overall Score

This book is mostly a comedy relating to standard tropes of fantasy, I would recommend it to people who are seeking a light-hearted book that is quite whimsical.

I would not recommend it to people who disklike overpowered mc's and people who dislike there not being a lot of emotional investment.

If gold is most valuable thing for a Dragon's hoard

Reviewed at: 18: Uninvited Guests

Then this story is gold for my hoard.

Has a good twist for LitRPG subgenre. Characters are funny and feel fleshed out if they are not fodder.

Grammar wise there wasn't any mistake that I could find or notice.

Author's style is attention-grabbing.

So go on and read this story and have some fun.

Also please consider joining as a minion.

It's actually rather funny - which is always a rare find. Even has internal logic, as far as such things go.

Definitely recommended!

Well, first of all, let me say that I love this story. It's a fun, action-packed adventure about dragon named Vainqueur and his reluctant human minion, Victor, as they travel the world, slaying monsters, slaying humans, eating humans, and raking in as much gold as they can. Vainqueur and Victor have a good double act going, with lots of interesting people showing up for a bit.

It's a good book if you're looking for a funny, light hearted comedy action fantasy mix.

Keep in mind, you probably don't know where this story is going.
