The harsh rise of a Lizard(lady) to greatness!

Good start to this story which is a fun read, i have liked reading it so far and want to see where it goes next.

Naomi is just your average college student living a normal life, but then one day she wakes up, to find herself in a dark cramped place, with no idea how she got there at all. There is the system who accompanies her, it at first having no idea what to do with the mysterious being suddenly appearing in the world it resides in. Then one day she hatches, now she is in a unfamiliar form, in a harsh world where she has to survive, to grow. But thats not so simple, for this is a mysterious world, with strange rules.

Naomi is a determined character, and that does show in her actions throughout the story, she wants to only survive, in this vicious world where the weak and unlucky get killed fast. Honestly, she is well written and a fun character to read about while she journeys through the unknown world she is in.

Not much to say about the story world the story takes place in so far, well written, but nothing expectional. The litrpg system however is nicely done, with some special differences like for example, a menu that adapts to your 'intelligence' a fact Naomi does not take well, but once again its not fully unique. One interesting part about it, is that people can 'discover' new races and get rewarded for it, guess who abuses that?

I am really liking the direction this story is going in, a special kind of mix of genres. I totally did not expect kingdom building at all, let alone with a non-human MC or this well written overall.

Flawless grammar so far, i have personally found absolutely no mistakes at all. So no complaints here.

The style flows well, with no real problems to be seen, the author has a good prose, thats easy and enjoyable to read overall, decent pacing. The dialogues between characters is well written. Descriptive scenes, the author is skilled at that part.

The author does effort in making sure the status screens are readable without getting annoying at all, i havent seen many do the effort of using multiple colors at once for status screens, so bravo!

This story does show a lot of promise, and im wholly interested in it, i hope the author can keep working on this story, good stories with a non-human MC are just rare on royalroad, with many going on hiatus sadly. So please keep writing this story!

You know, coming from someone that reads drama and gore all the time, this is actually a very nice and well written story till now. The Mc is about average if you put her in the middle of otherwolrders, basically came right out of undertale with that determination, and actually seems like a interesting girl. Even if this story starts derailing, I'd say the author got a lot of rights here and can definitely get something even better latter on.

Early review - a good start.

Only 2 chapters in, so not enough to judge the story but the the quality of writing so far is top tier for RR and I'm hooked already.

Hopefully the author can deliver on this promising start.

A promising fiction

It's a very well written fiction so far. The grammar is on point and there is nothing you can really complain about. Very promising fiction overall. If I don't see this in trending in the future, I'd be surprised.

Well worth your time to read

Love the story so far, ch12, the main character is great and I like the humor she adds here and there to her situation.

The  grammar and spelling is on point and has a nice flow to reading

cant really say anything about non main characters as we’ve only see a few, but that looks to be changing here soonish with the triplets and maybe we can see our first humanoid person in the near future.

im personally not the biggest fan of the system in place but it is by no means bad or not thought out, it’s just my personal thoughts, like why not have health be like 25/30 instead of 2.5/3? And I personally don’t like haveing “x% better at something”. Now with the recent chapter I can see why they went with it like that but when you like something a lot you can’t help seeing the one thing you don’t like as much XD

all around great read so far, can’t wait to see more ☺️

It's good, it's interesting and it's fun!

This is good, not only do we have an enjoyable main character, but we also have what looks like at least a well developed system and our main character also hasn't gotten anything op, just abilities worked up with effort.

We also have one of my other favorite things, and drags in this novel, the mystery of the world, it's really interesting, we get our first dose of it early on with q6, and it has slowly over time developed more and more, and I can't wait to find out.

So if you like the thought of a lizard girl finding her way in a new world, developing magic abilites and slowly unraveling the several mysteries in the world, I would highly recommend it!

It's cute, it's fun, and it has a Lizard Wizard!

Queen of Mud takes place in a harsh world where death is at your doorstep; where the weak are at the mercy of the whims of fate and the strong. From humble beginnings, very humble, Naomi struggles (cutely) to carve out her own little piece of existence. Weathering the tribulations that life seems insistent on challenging her with, she dusts off her little knees, picking herself back up and stumbling (cutely) along as best she can.

Watch as she flexes her little tail and forges a path through the storm, while maybe looking for a nice hammock or something to rest in along the way. Can she lead the peaceful life she desires, or does fate have more in store for our little heroine?

Aside from my intense dislike against the casual bestowal of the word Immunity, this story is still pretty good. It might fall for the usual trap of too much skills too easily, but hopefully the ease of learning is only a form of 'natural noob support' or a helper for kids.

The setting is kinda small for now, but the fic is firmly set to be a kingdom building, even if the kingdom only has 4 members as of yet.

The building aspect doesnt detract from the fic's focus, and is infact turning into one of its core aspects (fitting for its title).

Cautious optimisim is the word of the day for this fic. A good read if you are interested in the 'from the ground up' fantasy genre.

Good start (chap 5)

5 chapters in the story is intriuging. The status updates plentiful and the game breaking just starting. Some good action scenes but mostly internal monolouge and system exploration.

Lead character find herself in an unusual situation but finds clever way of taking advantage.
