Discovering Legacy

Sky is finally being given freedom from his ruthless mother, a freedom in which he will use to make the choices he wants to make. He only knows what his mother has taught him, and he plans to live the life that has been laid out before him. But he wants to make the choices that he knew his mother would never make. Will he ever be able to find his true path in life?

His first taste of freedom is given to him as a test. Will everything that he has been taught up to this point keep him out of trouble, or will he find it at every turn? A new planet, a new people, and a vague goal. Just what does his mother have planned for him?

All he knows is that this is the only time he will have before he has to spend mandatory years at the Empires Military Academy before he is shipped off to the never ending war with the outer-factions, to serve a term that all who are gifted with unique talents according to their bloodline are required to serve, regardless of their heritage.
