One of the hidden gems of RR
Even if on hiatus, a great story of this site, which deserves more recognition.
It takes place in the setting of RoyalRoad but with the dropping of quality in the recents volumes of LMS, it really make me wonder if this FF is not actually even better than the original. Quietus over Weed ? In terms of interest in the character of the MC, certainly.
Hell, even the setting of the game is less broken than the original !
The quality of the devolpment of the background is without a doubt way better than most of the stories using RR.
All of this in a very fluid style and with a nearly flawless grammar, this is definitely a recommendable read despite the fact that at this point we don't know if the author will one day update.
Well, 56 chapters of enjoyment : even if we never see the end of the road, the path traveled alone is worth it (not that new chapters wouldn't be welcomed, quite the contrary actually).

Makes me sad
The fact that this great piece of work may remain unfinished makes me sad…Very very sad
Edit: I come back after a long time and what do I see??? An Update!!! Woohoo~

Alright Read
It was an alright read. I went in expecting alot more than the novel actually gave based on all the other positive reviews, but if viewed in the context of novels like what this fanfiction is based on, it's better than 90% of the avaliable (often translated) works out there.
I don't like giving a less than stellar review because I don't want to discurage an author, but there was so much setup and interesting side characters that we could have learned more about, but it seemed like the author got tired of the slice of life style writing that composed the story and suddenly decided to end the novel... (I don't want to spoil; anything, but the ending is basically a series of timeskips in response to an event that came out of nowhere, then it ends.)
Mortimers character is handled quite well, but, partially due to his lack of social skills, we never really interact with anyone else other than on a surface level. The story is fine, but it's mostly slice of life in VR as the main character does everything except the goal he entered the game for.
Overall, if you want a (relatively) quick story to pass the time, The Necromancer is a fine choice if you enjoy works in the VRMMO genre.

New blood to old classic
This is a old royal road classic that people probably don’t know. It is old enough that it still has AnmesicCat as the author ( who it is not). i had read this when i had assumed there were no updates,i had forgot. now with a claim to weekly chapters, there is hope. It is about an antisocial rich kid named Mortimer who explores realm of Royal road as a way of following his love interest. And he then just plays to explore the life. With AI racism, and little to no player interaction. It is very entertaining read

Please write more!!!
So far this is the best fan fiction on this site, absolutely amazing, please write more I have to know what happens!!! The story line is well thought out and grammatically correct, along with how great the interactions are between the characters both in gane and out makes you not just interested in only one part of the sorry but all of it.

Before finishing the first chapter I knew this would be #1 on my list.

Good story
I really like this story.
i had not expected that it would be this good.
I really hope the writer will continue to update the story.
it has so much potential, I hope you won’t just drop it.
Keep up the good work, please.

Binge-inducing

It's good, would recommend it to most readers on Royalroad. Characters are fun, the story is interesting, grammar is good, and it sucks you right in to the point you can binge the whole thing in a day. Very enjoyable read, I'd call it one of the classics of Royalroad. The story feels like it ends at a good point, and isn't just abandoned, so that's not a worry either. It honestly took a bit of a surprising turn at the end for me, but it was no less enjoyable for it. 10/10. I genuinely got the feels, especially at the end of it all, and the ending wrapped most things up nicely. All in all, good stuff. One of the few real downsides of the story is that it ends, but stories that just keep on going do become somewhat unsatisfying over time, so I suppose it is also a benefit. Oh, and also the occasional long breaks between chapters, though that wasn't really an issue for me, and won't be one for you either, given that the story is actually complete now. Enjoy the read, but do remember to sleep a bit. I failed at that, but you might do better.

A relatively short but worthy story

Great story. Definitely worth a read especially considering its relatively short length. The characters are nicely described, although if the author wants to expand the story, they should have a longer description of the secondary characters and further story development from these interesting side characters and their guild (the ending is a bit rushed, I was interested in what would happen with the guild and the MC).
That being said, the story could have been much longer with a possible second book (finishing around chapter 90, and changing a bit the last 10 chapters to start book 2).

It can hook you.

It is not your typical stuck in another world or characther becomes op.
More like a relatively neautral pyshcopath with alot of money living how he wants.
Its different and absorbing at the same time.
