Defiance of the Fall
- Traumatising content
As Zac was alone in the middle of the forest the world changed. The whole planet was introduced to the so-called multi-verse by an unfeeling System or God. A universe where all races and civilzations fought for power and dominion.
Seemingly forgotten by the System, Zac found himself stuck in the wilderness surrounded by deadly beasts. Alone, lost and without answers, he must find the means to survive and get stronger in this new cut-throat reality.

I recently joined royal road and this was one of the first series I started reading. Let's just say I read all 190 chapters in a day. Amazing series and can't wait to see where it goes.
Combines aspects of both into a very neat system. Lone survivor type vs demons in the woods. Very good so far. Hope to see more!
Absolutely can't put down this so far, I usually find my self eagerly awaiting what will happen next and what will be MCs next move. Author has done an awesome job so far combining Litrpg and wuxia. I can't wait to see where this series goes and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good story that has unlimited ways it can go.
This is one of the higher quality books on here. It has a good plot and seems planned out pretty well. The girlfreind is an odd case becasue it was all about his sister for so long and he barely gave any thought to hannah. But that seems to be cleared up soon. He really hasn't had much of a set back since the very beggining. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing but for those looking for a mc that suffers this isn't really a good start. This is also an amatur review so don't hate. I love this story.
Not a perfect story but still really good. The first arc was a bit long, but the pacing has improved since. If you like LitRPG/Sytstem Apocalypse you'll love this story, its one of the best. If you don't like that genre, you probably won't get too much from this.
Rating because I like the story. Otherwise I particularly like the system backstory as well as
The multiverse integration - even though it favors the incursions, it still limits them, and the why makes sense. The all want a piece of the new resources, but because of the system’s backstory, there’s a reason why the planets get a chance to fight and grow, as well as why established races can’t just go in full power. They’ve got to train and work for it.
I like to read a lot of stories in the LitRPG genre and this one is by far one of the better ones out there. I binged it till Chapter 113 in a single day, that shows how much I craved for a decent LitRPG novel without a highly OP MC with harem girls coming through to him left and right and all of a sudden he becomes invincible thanks to System-kun. No, till now at least these things have been avoided and I am truly happy about it. The other main reason why I am giving this a 4.5 out of a possible 5 is because this is a good combination of Apocalypse with LitRPG with a good potential of it adding a Kingdom/City/Town building novel tag to it later on. This story has a huge potential in that field and I feel that the author is taking this story as realistic as possible. As of chapter 114, the MC is a normal guy who doesn't know anything about how to actively manage a settlement. He was left in a post-apocalyptic world and he somewhat realistically overcomes his enemies and now is trying to build his town. He is kind of messy right now but that adds to the realism factor in this novel. The other thing which I personally loved was the background of how the system came into existence. It was only a quarter of a chapter (or even less), but personally I loved that history! So, if were to place this in a list of my favorite LitRPGs, this is definitely there in the top 3!
It's no boring novel and might even feel a bit arcade. Background and plot are pretty good written and dynamic.
MC is understandingly going WTF
looking forward for the twist that will be the rest of humankind
Highly enjoyable story but the pace is starting to drag around chapter 50. Taking a long time for him to meet and engage with other people.
