Dense MC, but hallelujah not a cheap harem

Well, here's my 2 cents on this.

Style score:

The style is pretty good and neat, the chapters are broken up in neat paragraphs that makes it easier to read and find your way through the chapters. A solid 4/5, what made me especially happy with the style is how the author chose to start in medias res which is something that can always add more flavor to a novel.

Story score:

Well, I am a bit on the fence about this one to be honest... on one hand, I like me a good story about an OP mc that I can just read through without needing to focus on the little details of the story so I get a clear picture of what is actually going on, but then again this MC is reborn, gets a system and becomes OP is a bit overdone at this point. Beating on a dead horse dare I say... plus I haven't read enough chapters to get a feel of what the MC will do in this world or what his function will be in world wide events.

As of chapter 8, he is still in the finding information and growing his strength phase.

(Rant)

While that is true, the author also did not go down the harem route, which is a big and definite + for this story. As everyone knows, harem is a shit concept that is unrealistical (I mean just look at ProJared's situation ffs) and wish fulfilling. It also kills relationships between characters when it's not implemented successfully... it's also just plain lazy writing.

(/Rant)

Grammar score:

While I was not actively searching for grammar mistakes, I don't think I would have found a lot of mistakes even if I was. The grammar is solid, no glaring mistakes at a glance and the flow is nice. I did not put a magnifying glass to it, but I can safely say that this story is readable and enjoyable thus the 4.5/5 stars for the grammar.

Character score:

This is also an awkward one, which I will most likely edit in the future... reason being, it's really too early in the story to tell. There hasn't been much character development for the MC as of chapter 8...at least not anything that I would call character development...except for one thing that became painfully obvious is that the MC is very fucking dense about his own powers.

I mean sure, it was to be expected as he was isolated most of the time before the story starts picking up the slack, but goddamn... it's like reading about someone suddenly gaining OnePunch man level powers, and didn't even realise it. Needles to say, it's a bit...I don't even know what to call it, awkward? I guess... Jarring? Perhaps... It grinds my gears a bit? Most definitely... Hotel? Trivago! (badum tss)

Overall Score:

Solid story. Not the next story that will take the world by storm, but it is definitely better than some other stories I have seen on this site...and you know what? I am completely fine with that.

I would definitely recommend this as a read when you are bored and you don't have any important stuff coming up. The story does shine a bit once in a while where I found myself forgetting about the time while reading the story, and left me wanting for more when I got to the last chapter.

All in all, a recommended read.

Over all MC is your typical strong protagonist but guy seems to be different enough I am at least interested enough to look out for the next chapters. Still a young story so can't say to much but decently solid spelling and sentence structure. Will update in more chapters.

Take logic and throw it out of the window!

Now you can enjoy the story.
