Thus story features progressive RPG elements. This is my first story, and I'm wanting to start slow on the status screens and game rules. I just wanted to put this here to let everyone know what they were getting.

Not on trending ... yet!

Havent chanced on a new story in a long time, that isnt on trending. Used to do it a lot. But i am happy that i did so again!  // so i expected something way different then what the cover art promised, but i now get the jolly roger reference. Still i got a engaging and fun to read story out of it, with a sprinkeling of boxes. Normaly you would get bombarded with those. // i wrote whole bit on the strong points of the story, but that would be spoilers, so... Review was made at the of release of chapter 13.

This is the only real pirate book on royal road and I am here for it! The character development happens really quickly, but keeps you on the edge of your seat. The lit rpg elements are cool and easy to follow. Grammar mistakes aren’t common, but with a new author mistakes are expected, sometimes I get a little lost in the sauce. But after another quick read through a part I’m back and ready for more! So these are definitely readable mistakes. Overall I can’t wait for more from this book and this author.

Love the premise of the story

Mmmm, I like Utah. He’s complicated while at the same time not. There’s some subtle humor mixed in with the brutality of life. And Utah’s life is hard in both worlds! I’m looking forward to seeing how the story and the writer develops!

Amazing story, great execution

A few small grammar issues in the first few chapters, but the story idea is awesome, execution is fantastic and I look forward to seeing more of this story.

This story has a great start, true it is slightly rough around the edges, but it doesn't detract from the overall story. There is some great foreshadowing that makes me excited for what will come in the future and as a character I like Utah. Overall this story has a very promising future that will not only be exciting to see but also guess at what will come next.

My man you have written probably the best pirate VRMMO I have read. And goodness gracious you make the main character so lifelike probably because you've experienced some of what he has and it solidifies him in reality. Great stuff truly! Okay this next bit is just for the author.

Fixed the mom talk to be more realistic! Yay!! And you recycled the info into it which was a smart way to be lazy, you did good!

Interesting but to many plot holes.

I enjoy the story premise and MC background story.  The problems I see are game geography and time frame.  From the game description it is a historical VRMMO.  If that is true the time frame is around 1714.  If the MC knows about the Spanish Treasure Fleet so would others.  Why would a company make a VRMMO with such limited time frame and map space?  The settings needs a lot of  work. Maybe the author values storyline over setting. The setting is the canvas the story is painted on, especially in a LITRPG.

The thing i love the most the the authurs dog! He is the hero we need!

On a serius note the only thing that i kinda find stupid about the novel is the fact that is mother in 2047 doesnt know that you can gain money playing games.

the rest of the characters interations until now are amanzing xD

It's a Pirate's Life For Me

Very well done example of a gritty hyper-realistic VRMMO story set in the age of Piracy.  Protagonist hits some stereotypes (former military, unfairly treated, semi-crippled), but without feeling forced or stereotypical due to good writing.  Please keep it up, author, and if you're thinking of reading, I recommend it!
