Meet Orihara Satoru, a 33 y.o. Game Designer who was about to confess his feelings to an overly cute co-worker. Yes, he ‘was’, because his life unexpectedly came to an end.
He woke up in a new world.
In the world, where 99.9% of the population are reincarnated people like he is, and technology co-exists with magic.
In the world, where every few days Beasts are summoned by a Wave to bring chaos and disaster.
"How will I fare in a world, where everyone is an Isekai protagonist? Also, my build is a random mess and why am I a girl now? Oh, well. Creative Thinking is Everything I Have."

I'm slowly adding illustrations. You can find them in chapters 1, 4, 9, 11, 13, 17, 22, 24, 26, 31, 36, 38, 44 right now.

Who might enjoy this story:
- readers who love references to popculture/games/anime (also after the first chapter they are not that abundant)
- fans of an isekai/transported to another world genre
- those who dislike OP protagonists and prefer MC to grow stronger bit by bit and rely heavily on his friends.
- people who enjoy black-and-white-and-grey stories, where life is not always bad, but not always good, too.

Good story, References, and Dark Themes.

Let me start by saying you likely shouldn't judge this story by its start, as I think its it at its worst due to the writting getting significantly better in the latest chapters, and because it's Isekai and Grimdark.

Let me explain; The start is a bit of a slog due to the Imfodumps that plague it, as well as dealing with heavy themes that really can make you feel rather down.

The other thing I feel should be adressed is the genderbender tag, and I how believe it was well handled; Genderbender and Grimdarm could lead to some very, very uncomfortable themes, and I'm glad the author avoided those.

As for the story itself and it's characters... It is Isekai, but has no system, the MC is powerful but not OP, and it focuses a helluva alot on the characters and their interactions, which I think is necessary or this book would either be extremely short, which leads to my next point.

The feeling I get from this story is 'rush' and 'stress' not because it is rushed, but because the MC in particular is under a constant and unrelenting shitstorm, couple that with the sense of impending doom due to SPOILER and thats what nags it the Grimdark tag in my opinion, as most of the story takes place in a short ammount time. I was surprised when I looked back and realised how little chronologically the story moved, and just how little time chatacters had to cope (or not) with the shit they've been through.

Overall I'd rate this book as not for everyone, it's chockfull of references to gamer and otaku culture, ad well as dealing with complicated stuff such as relationships, trauma, and ethics somewhat.

Also worth mentioning this is not a binge-reader, I dont believe any grimdark is, unless you want to feel gloomy for the rest of your day. So I believe its better taken in short sessions.

If thats your thing go for it, but I gotta say this feels like a book the author wrote for himself, more than any other I've read before.

Ok, the first note, I hate gender benders I find them infuriating, but this book does it well.

I actually really like this story I read it every time I got a chance too. I actually read everything in only a day or two. I really like the characters and the world. The characters (well most) don't seem 2d and actually had some back story and reasons to do what they do. They feel like actual people rather than robots saying a phrase. The humor of the characters are amazing and I found myself laughing so many times.

The world seems very real and living. It's like the town you live in. You don't see what's happening to everything but you know there are things going on and this is how this book feels.

I only have a few problems with this book though. I feel like there's not enough work with the setting. It doesn't get very descriptive so it's hard to make an image in my head. Other than that I don't really have a problem with this book and it's an overall great read.

I only read 11 chapters, dropped on the 11th chapter because of foreshadowing for the genderbent MC going all homo on us. (E.g. His sexuality doing a 180 and he goes fucking guys in a girls body; you know TSF monogatari) admittedly until this point he's been acting entirely opposed to the idea but I know better than to keep reading, not the first time I see this kind of shit. (For the record I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a story going that route, just that it's really really not my thing). This is not the basis of my review though, just the last straw that made me finally drop it.

To sum up the story until this point it's been extremely boring yet somehow also very rushed. For example at the start it seemed like she passed out for a few hours but suddenly that became like a day (because... why not?) and then right after she woke up it was like she left to go to somewhere else than her point of entry into the world, but in the middle of the journey it's all of a sudden like she'd been awake for 3 days before going... inconsistent..

And the author start inserting information about what happened over these 3 days that never seemed to have happened about something some guy said to her and items he gave her that conveniently helped out in the situation...

Yeah I don't know, the start was confusing, incredibly rushed, yet still managed to be boring, there wasn't really much going on, at best it was an infodump, a very slow one. (It doesn't make sense that something so rushed can be so slow, it must be some kind of talent)

Some character interactions are also very forced, like she barely met someone and all of a sudden they're 'like family' and someone says 'welcome home' when she goes to her temporary dorm room in some training camp and she's already attached to this person from walking for 2 minutes with her, and feels better, like she is 'home'? What the hell? Who would feel at home in a fucking training camp dormitory? (And since when do military training camps have proper dorms for few people? Don't they usually just have huge areas loaded up with bunks?)

The worldbuilding also sucks, in a world where 99.9% of the people are infertile, locally born people are 'nobles' and everyone else is isekai'd over... The 'nobles' (lol) are actually getting away with bullshit stereotypical jackass holier than thou 'noble' behavior, in a world where they are the 0.1%, a world where the remaining 99.9% of the world are summoned heroes, overpowered fighters, every single one. There's no way that would be sustainable, they piss off the wrong faction of summoned heroes and poof, nobles get exterminated, there's no way that wouldn't have happened already by this point in the story.

Feels like the author just wanted to have asshole wuxia style nobles in there and so he made it happen, damned be the feasibility of it.

So far there just hasn't been anything in there to keep me invested in reading, so naturally at the first sign of things possibly later on going somewhere I wouldn't like, I dropped it on the spot.

It is legible though, the grammar is pretty ok, it's not good but it is passable. Some issues with the style (like referring to the protagonist by 2 separate names) but overall it's just a third person style, nothing special about it.

The story seemed to have potential right? A dark fantasy world where everyone is a summoned hero fighting for their lives against constant hordes of (I assume summoned) monsters that are so strong it takes mlutiple heroes to deal with each one. But I feel that the author kinda blew it, he didn't really make the most of the setting, the introduction has been very boring, the world seems to be haphazardly put together on the authors whims without much deep thought, it's just meh, the story is mediocre.

dont know what to make of it.

Infuriating characters and world building , i`m not sure what to make of this hot mess. I can usually imagine the world and it`s surroundings of a novel in my head pretty good , but this time all i can see is gray mess . Mainly because the each scene has almost no time to set in , just as it sets in the scene it changes . As for the author`s choices and directions, I can see why the author made choices like these and its future directions, but this just makes me personally more pissed as i read more. Too much pity party for my taste . The focusing characters are just dour. As i mentioned before i dont know what to make of it. Maybe it is the pacing of the later novel. (Personal opinion) Good idea and grammar thou

So I'd like to start off with I'm not really that into reading because I rarely find something that interests me, but this story grabbed me from the start and I read new chapters the moment I can!

Like the synopsis said this is filled with references and the first chapter especially to show what the reader will be getting into. As I assumed they die down drastically after that chapter but are still present in a decent amount though I realise their abundance at first might turn off some people. I think the dynamic of the MC and one of her friends sporadically saying references helps with the mood of the story and adds to the enjoyment of it.

After the mandatory paragraph about the references (as am sure everybody was excited about them the most), I'd like to comment on why the mc certainly needs to get her mood up as she (unlike most isekais) is the opposite of overpowered and in fact, is one of the weaker characters and the story progresses through her struggles to live in this new world, as she is constantly thrown in emotional turmoil due to poor word choices she makes or uncontrollable to her situations. Some people have commented that it feels grimdark, but in my opinion, it lacks grimdark elements and is better described as realistic.

While it is quite interesting to read her struggles it slightly irks me as to how unlucky she is and how often others overreact and mistreat her for her actions. The reasons for doing so makes perfect sense though, so the story still seems plausible and doesn't require the suspension of disbelief. The characters themselves are multi-layered as every time the mc messes up with someone, it's always hinted as to some hidden layers of their personalities or backstories which makes them feel very real.

There have also been a few moments where the mc seemed to get too friendly to others too suddenly, calling each other family, but as most complaints the author argumented himself as to why that is and if he adds a bit more to how those characters feel and think in those moments I think it would greatly improve the story and help with the impression of realism. And the author does indeed go back to edit chapters and fix any complaints he has received about them.

The story is also quite original, as much as one can be in this genre and grammatical errors are close to nonexistent and when some do go by unnoticed are remedied the moment someone points them out.

Chapters are also posted every other day which is a very good plus!

Now excuse me as I go throw some rice for losing my review virginity.

Can't tell if it's good or bad.

It's well written and all but it's just a bit overly grimdark by the time I gave up. I can't place what the book is meant as since the only thing that has been established in these 12 chapters is that he's been teleported to the worst place imaginable, again can't place it if it's just dark or a bit too edgy. Also some weird rules I didn't feel fit, like the 'can't tell your own name'.

I can't say more than that you should try and see if it's for you or not. And the author should add some more genres.

The author has come a long way

First of all, kudos for all the references and easter eggs. But, at the same time, this makes it clear that this story isn't for everybody.

Strengths of the story:

1) Takes overused tropes but doesn't make it feel like the usual trash.
2) The MC isn't OP.
3) Good humor.
4) Good charactrs.

Weakness of the story:

1) The world building falls off.
2) Sometimes the humor gets past me (might not be the case for others).
3) The writing style sometimes feels off.
4) Signs of the MC(can't define its gender) leading towards smut flag. It honestly scares me.

Overall, a good read if you enjoy pop culture references and a bit of satire towards the mainstream story tropes.
