1: It is my first attempt at writing anything so any constructive advice is more than welcome. if your comment will be just to insult, don't do it, you will waste time typing and I will waste time reading it and not giving a damn about it.
2: To make it worse English is not my mother language. I'm still learning and through reading and talking is not a problem for me, writing is my weak spot. Though not the only one and not the most important, this is one of the reasons I decided to start writing this novel.
3: I do not own the artwork used as a cover, I found it on google, I liked it A LOT and decided to use it. At the time I tried to contact the creator but received no answer and if he wants me to remove it I will.

With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy it and sorry if you don't :P.

The story is good, the grammar is not.

Title really says it all, I'm not in the mood for a lengthy review, I went into this expecting yet another xianxia novel, like the ones this site and webnovel are littered with, honestly I don't know why I keep reading them, I guess I love to hate them? All of them are pretty much exactly the same story...

This one wasn't however the same story. So far (ch 29) we still don't have some random girl cozying up to the MC like he's the hottest shit in the world, nor do we have the beginnings of a harem, in fact I don't think there have been many female characters at all in the story so far it's completely void of romance. This is good.

Because it allows the author to focus on the important bits. Now the story has shoddy as hell grammar, and it's not particularly well written, but underneath the subpar writing skills is an actually exciting story that so far, despite the heavily flawed character interactions (stereotypes, no, so much worse, xianxia stereotypes...) the underlying story has kept me intrigued all the way until now.

It's one of these rare stories where it doesn't feel like the protagonist has a plot shield, and everything that is good in the world doesn't just happen to fall into his lap either. He can't fight for shit and he has one trick he can use to save himself from sticky situations, that's it. It's a very versatile trick but he's not particularly powerful yet.

Whether or not the story remains good once the protagonist has progressed beyond his humble beginnings however remains to be seen.

Great, could be better.

Grammar is alright, usually flows, but mistakes are repeated throughout many chapters.

Dialogue is great as well, feels like two people talking instead of something bland.

Story is great, I would personally say the author knows where he's going with it, and isn't blinded. Even if it does derail it goes back quickly.

I did however skip the prologue, it's rather long. I would've read it if was an actual book, but since it's royal road, I jumped into it at chapter 4.

That's all I have to say atm.

Good promise so far, interesting story and whilst familiar to a number of other reincarnation / cultivation stories its different enought to to be well worth the time taken to read.

Other reviewers say it gets better

The first four chapters are a poorly written mess that sum up to: "I'm about to start writing an Isekai story." Maybe it will improve, maybe there will be some plot later, but I can't bring myself to read any more.
