The author goes out of their way to embrace the monstrous themes of its insect protagonist. Seldom are ther pure attempts at making an alien perspective work in a larger structure of an rpg but in not compromising with the protagonists monster condition, a unique narrative thrust develops.
While somewhat clunky at the beginning and reliant on simple training montage themes, the story ambitions grow and mature alongside the ambitions of the protagonist. Well worth a try
It’s a great novel and RinoZ has released the chapters quite fast on royal road but if you don’t want to wait, there are 180 chaps released on Webnovel. I recommend you also go to his patreon to support him so he can also push more chapters.
I've just started this but I'm very much enjoying it. I like the humor (normally it feels forced), I like Anthony and his enthusiasm.
This author has grown by leaps and bounds since chapter one. I'm really enjoying the story, and the minor style and grammar issues near the beginning have evaporated completely. Well done.
I can't make an objective review because i'm addicted to it. Couldn't find anything even close to this awesome and i cant say i havent spent hours searching for something at least similar.
The beginnig is slow and he starts out really weak and stays weak for a long time, but when he finds the colony and starts with core shaping and magic it gets absolutely amazing. Can't recommend it enough, if you haven't read it all you're missing out.
Many great ideas and wonderful world building.
Characters are not numerous but all rememberable individuals with reasons for their actions.
Dialogues are fun to read.
My biggest gripe with the story is the litrpg system and the scaling.
Power levels, leveling speed and biomass consumption seem to vary wildly in the course of the story, as it is convenient for the author.
This is of course a general problem of the genre but is very pronounced in this story.
Nevertheless I had fun with the story and will continue to read.(chapter 575 as I write this review)
like a bag of popcorn, you can't just stop halfway through!
Entertaining, fast paced, and odddly addictive.
fun human as monster pov, weird thougyt process fromthe mc that just drives the story, with some world building thrown in.
the grammar is a little off with some spelling errors But as the story is fast paced enough, they dont quite break the immersion.
some of the "wrong word" choices I can't tell if those instances are deliberate to reflect the mc, or if they are real wrong word choice fromthe author, so overall it works
p.s. Dont start reading late at night, you may wind up reading much longer than you planned.....and have a very tired day after!
The pure first person style won't be for everyone.
Good grammar over all, but there's a decent amount of "what did I just read" sentences where the words are obviously wrong, the kind you get where you simply mass spell check.
I personally love how the world is being built.
So this story is in fact a guide to summoning the Elder One of Itch. The story is great and quite quirky the characters all fill a role and have decent development over time effect. The four star grammar is due to there being some typos but nothing that can’t be fixed by an editor scanning through it. Other wise te story is well worded and funny enough throughout that i think it should have the comedy tag. May it bring all who read it the hours of joy it has given myself.
Im not one to mince words, Just read it.
I was reading this non stop. So should you.
