Ever been a god? Well, I was!
Until I died.... and got judged by the other gods! Apparently, they didn't like the whole "My Faith is the only true one!" idea.
Oh, and for the record: The Apocalypse wasn't intentional, ok? In my defense, I want it to be known that my enemies threw the first stone and the whole 'Offer the other cheek' just isn't my thing.
Seems like, for punishment, I get sent onto a vacation! Or so I hope?
It's here, a rewrite? Yes! I would like to think that this version will have better grammar, better jokes, hopefully, everything better. Since it was my first work and started solely to improve my English, the grammar always caused me headaches when I looked at it.
Well, and there are the plotholes which appeared with the whole multiverse thing that came with my other works... Let's just say that the first one was never written with the idea of turning it into a series.
So let's get a shovel and fill-up the plot so that hapless readers won't fall into those pitch-black pits. They might break a knee! Or worse, vanish forever.
And now the disclaimer everyone knows:
I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

Well Until Death? was one of the first stories that got me hooked on web writers and how i joined Royal Roads in the first place. For it to be rewritten brings a smile for all the interaction between everyone in the story.
Let me first preface this with saying Andur is great at what he does, I don't think his stories are of bad quality in most ways.
I just feel like no one, at least no one in this short list of reviews, mentioned that there is an element to this fics that can be a deal breaker for many, they're highly formulaic.
If this is your first Andur fic to read, that doesn't matter much, but it bears mentioning because it makes his stories overall feel very similar and the multiverse he created only enforces this as part of each cast is basically a parallel version of the others. If you don't mind this, enjoy, I am sure you will.
I know for a fact that I am not the only one that does mind though and I therefore feel like it bears mentioning.
If he keeps this up, he'll eventually the Shakespear of slightly autistic men with their slightly overbearing wives.
That sounds negative, but it's really not. He's in the top 1% of people writing web serials.
This book is really good!
"Until Death" is the first history that I read in Royal Road, thereafter I couldn't stop to read the Andur's creations.
Although I don't have a really nice English, it was enough to understand what I read. So, when I started to read English books, "Until Death" is the first one that I finished, because among the ones that I chose to read, is the only that I liked enough.
After discover and read all of Andur's books, when investigated whether there was anything new for reading among the Andur's fictions, I see "Until Death? (Refleshed Version)" and WOW!! Then I read it in 2 or 3 days hahahaha.
After all the only thing I can say is:
THIS BOOK IS REALLY ENJOYABLE!
(And sorry about my writing mistakes)
But you still read it anyway.
There is something soothing about any novel Andur graciously posts on here. A homey feeling you just cannot really find anywhere else. Sure, once you read one, you read them all but frankly, that's not the point.
You are not here for the usual plot of separated souls fated to reincarnate apart only to reunite again. Hell, I'm not sure you are even here for the plot specific to the novel (even if personnaly, I find them quite enjoyable, with twist and turns that don't come out of left field while still being surprising enough).
No, you are here because reading about Angron and Celes is just like meeting two old friends again after a while. You are excited to read about their last shenanigans because you are honestly attached to them. While at first, the exercise of using only the same two characters over and over again for each story flew right above and past me, I admit now that it has one huge effect on the reader. Sure you know what to expect but that is precisely why you came.
Keep them comin' Andur.
Totally worth the read, progresses nicely and doesn't leave you feeling like anything is missed or skipped over. Sometimes can be a bit fast paced but I mean thats just the way Andur does his thing! If you like insanely powerful beings coming together and doing their thing this is the perfect novel for you!
Just finished the multiverse seris. That was a great ride. Appreciate it, Andur!
But there's still that last part in the Epilogue that gets me. I'm guessing Seria/Sera is the true savior of the multiverse, but who's the guy? The kid from the first of the series, Transcendence? Arran? They get soul-bound, too? And I'm guessing since Seria was always caught with having to be the one to keep her memories throughout the destruction and creation of the multiverse, she was never able to meet back up wit him until the end?
Man I hope there's a quicker release rate! I do love all your books and have PDFs/ebooks for almost all of 'em! Here's hoping Until Death? And Transcendence get a great rewrite!
Look forward to your work!
Early chapters had a good pace, jokes were new but as the story went on it felt like those eastern novels whose aim is to judge quality based on word count. a lot of unnecessary consecutive sex scenes were added which basically felt like fillers to give the author time to write the main story.
This is the type of story you read because you have a hate-boner for certain characters and you really want their plans to not work out or die a tragic death.
A large portion of Until Death is about removing character motivations in order to advance its own agenda. The characters tend to focus on the details and don't often bring up 'the big picture' in their discussions or future planning.
I also feel like this should have a romance tag
