The thief was confident that it would be another heist like any other. Steal the mark, get paid, retire, gamble away any money not spent at brothels, and come out of retirement. Again. That was how it was supposed to go. Only, the woman he was stealing from was a noble vampire, and he wasn't expecting to get killed and reincarnated as a puppy. Now, left in the underground dungeon floors of the city's tower, the infamous thief must adapt to his four-legged and fluffier life and quickly if he doesn't want to get turned into a snack by monsters several times his size.

To make matters even more difficult for him, he finds himself bound by a curse to not only hunt and devour the strong but to evolve and become his killer's cerberus. Though, none of these struggles are as difficult as the itch behind his ear that just won't go away.

That sure is one badass pup!

This is a great story. It is a light-hearted comedy about a former human being reincarnated into a puppy.

Aside from nearly all of the other reincarnation stories I have read, the instincts of both former man and the puppy are presented in a way, which does not disrupt the story and seems natural. The comedy part of their presentation is simply great.

There are not many characters so far in the story and there is not much interaction, but for now, there are no forced actions and forced character development, which is certainly a plus. Hopefully it will stay this way. The MC has some personality defects, which makes him more relatable. Most of those are used for comedic purpose, but yet again that can only be a plus.

Now, I have seen some hate for commas. I personally cannot understand that, but I am not a native speaker. So, from me it definitely deserves 5 star grammar.

Now, let's speak about why I deducted some stars.

Firsty, style score: This my personal thing, but I will stick by it. I like status windows, but not that much. I personally do not read every single thing there and only skimp through the most important things. However, what the author has showed so fas is within acceptable range. Simply, it is not the so called "status porn" yet.

Secondly, story score: This is simple. So far there is not much story. This is something the author himself mentioned in one of his notes.

Lastly, let me pray to the almighty author, so this story shall not go on a hiatus:

*Woof* *wof wof wof* *WOOOOOF* *WOOOF* *wof* *bark* *growl* *whine* *woof*!

Love this book! The story is good, the main charartar has depth. So happy it’s a puppy not a human (humans are boring and lame) will be comtinueing to fallow on rolay road hoping for a paperback some day... and maybe a audiobook? (Just the hopful thinking of a fan though) any way if your reading this and thinking of reading this book you should definitely read the book!

Lighthearted tale of a human turned puppy

(as of chapter 41)

'The Queen's Hound' tells the story of a legendary thief that meets his end when stealing from a vampire queen and is turned into a little doggy in a big dungeon. Outmatched, he has to fight (and flee) to survive, getting some basic skills and levels in the process. Will he find the place where bones and belly scratches flow?

Style: The story is told in first-person limited style by the dog. The word choice is good with a smooth flow of the story and the descriptions are rich.

Story: This is one of the "human in a monster's body" stories, albeit a cute one. It started with a short period of adaptation to the new body, but from there the protagonist quickly used his human intellect to reach his first advancements. But getting to those is not easy as the monsters in the dungeon are much stronger than a puppy.

Grammar: Very good, I found almost no errors!

Characters: Our protagonist is a bit torn between his human memories and his canine instincts, e.g. his thinking about bodily pleasures alternates between carnal encounters with attractive women and being scratched on his belly. This is described very well. As it is rather early in the story there hasn't been much character development yet but we can already see that the dog has a multifaceted personality. The human(oid) characters are a bit bland but then we haven't seen much of them, they act a little more stupid than they should in a dungeon.

This is a story that makes you read with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart.

I came here from Ace's other story, which I really love. This one doesn't disappoint. It's humorous, adventureful, and just a lot of fun. King Pup is one of the better "trapped in another body" style litRPG stories I've read. He's actually a really believable character. Just an altogether good story.

No complaints on Grammar. The characters are slowly being fleshed out. The style and story are just so entertaining. The elf is a little weird but if it can be explained by a racial characteristic I guess it can get a pass, depends on how it plays out.
