Just stopping by to check for a new chapter. May as well tell you that you've written a truly exceptional superhero story. Thank you!
Amazing story. The grammar is fantastic, and the character development is good too. The only thing keeping this story from being a full 5 stars is that sometimes the MC's naivety can make some confusing situations. Even as bad as that is, I still find it nice how the author is not changing that part of the MC
Very well written, one of the few superhero-esque stories i can read.
Ahhhh one of the best stories I've read in a loooong time. Wonderfully executed, and I really love Tofu and the minion gang. If this were in print I'd buy this in a heartbeat. The writing is great, the characters are great, and the world and plot is also great. I love how the characters are complex and actually grow, especially Tofu. My new favorite novel for sure. Ahhhh I can't wait for more.
Well written story that used to be one of my RR favorites, but it's moving along with a snails pace. Both the plot and the chapter count has barely moved along since i started reading it.
We literally haven't experienced any suspense in maybe 15 or 20 chapters, the story honestly reads like a Slice of Life at this point. Here's a few thing's that i had personally hoped to get some clarification on since i began reading, all of which hasn't happened yet:What's the actual goal of Tofu? When will that cooperation that created him find him? When will somebody find out his secret; that he's not human? Will he get the powers from the mutavus or whatever virus? Because that's kind of been a sore point since we learned about the possibility. Yet nothing has happened.
I'm sorry to do this, but i'm lowering my initial rating from 5 to 3½ star now. I honestly don't think this story has any place on the first page of popular ongoing stories anymore.
It's a bad unfortunate i feel this way, since i liked the premise of the story. But it's just too slow, and slice of life-y now.
Have you ever had something just snag you by the eyeballs and say "read me or I'll rip em out"? That was super-minion for me. Initially I read the first chapter and was a little confused/meh. Second and third chapter down and suddenly I'd caught up with the release, which I'd very much like more of please Gogglesbear!
Style, mostly first person point of view with the occasional shift from the MC. No level ups or floating blue boxes which fits the story and style so while I'm a fan of them I'd mark it as a plus here. Character knows nothing of the world and so is forced to explore it, which is a nice way of introducing it to readers.
Grammar, can't remember any major issues while reading or anything that confused my ability to read it, so no worries there.
Story, Seems to have slowed down a little and jump about a bit, unsure of direction but I'm enjoying the directions it does take so keep it up?
Characters, this was one of the best parts about Super-minion. The bits that the MC does and doesn't understand. The definition of their motivations that others misconstrue and the fact that often others views are show without actively spelling them out. Very well written and probably the largest hook for me.
Great stuff Gogglesbear
Pretty good. Not the greatest, but quite fun to read. It has an actual plot and conflict so it's immediately better than 90% of the stuff on this website. No complaints from me, but it didn't really make me go "oh wow that's good". In my opinion a 4 star means "better than normal, everything put together really well, but nothing extra special or above and beyond like Threadbare's unique charm" and that describes the book really well. It doesn't have a special charm, but it does it's bit, and it does it well. I definitely recommend a read!
I absolutely love characters. The subtle imperfections and hang ups are what make me care for them. A world can be beautiful built or a over copied facade but bring me a character with quirks and faults and you will have caught my attention.
Super Minion is like a TV show brought to ink. Some might think that is bad but for me, it's not. Imagination can create something more amazing than any TV show. You don't have to worry about the sets or the perfectly cast characters. All my imagination needs is direction and a little flavor. This story has flavor to spare. Thank you for writing this and thank you for creating a character that I care about.
The story shifts in style going from the perspective of a foreign creature in a world which it doesn't know much about. Somewhat like the saying a big fish in small pond or living inside of a well. The characters are well sought out and unique; However, there are missing words here and there with typos and grammar errors it's not unreadable but you are bound to stop and try to make out what a sentence means when its missing a word. The progression of the story thus far is nice there isn't the mc is op no one is his match setting he is just "above average" thus far. The style of writing is nice it smoothly shifts from first perspective to 3rd person perspective without losing the reader all in all a solid 3.5/5 its a fun read but it needs improvements in some areas.
