Awesome
By far my favorite superhero story on this website. I love the main character's perspective, the side characters, and the ambient elements of the world. The small things like Odd Summer, calling humans "drones", and soda making packets at the diner really bring the story to life. While there is some statistical stuff, it's mostly cycles of runtime and total mass, not arbitrary numbers for strength/agility that will suffer majorly from power creep later, so I like that. In general, I'd just like to see more stories with non-human protagonists, because the perspective makes the story so much more interesting. That and it's nice to have an MC that's OP in some senses but could still easily be killed in many scenarios. Striking that balance can be difficult.
Anyway, keep up the good work! Please give us more!

Best written story I've read on this website

What a fantastic little story. I have enjoyed every moment of reading it. The main character is delightfully alien, but still human at the same time. The story is interesting, the plot original. Side characters are also usually very memorable. There is occasional humor interspersed into the story, and it's done in a very good way.
Overall I love this story and the psychotic little monster that is the main character. 5/5

SciFi Evolution done right
The character introduction is done wonderfully with the MC gradually learning stuff and evolving. The side characters are crafted with care and introduced with similar amount of thought as the MC.
It has a great flow as well.
A great addition to any library.

A unique, imaginative read
Written from the perspective from a non-human, ignorant protagonist, the writing style of Super Minion takes a bit of getting used to but is well worth the effort. It takes real talent to write from the viewpoint of a creature that, while intelligent, has abosultely no understanding of humanity or the world around it. The setting of super minion is higly original and very different from our everyday earth. We get to discover more about it organically with our protagonist rather than through unweildy info-dumps. We haven't even been giving a proper explanation of super powers in 15 chapters but most readers could probably give you a basic rundown nonetheless. All in all, Super minon is fun, rewarding story.

Lovely story, but dead.

To get straight into the review I've really enjoyed the story, and loved the characters and their development. I'm not normally one for comic book heroes, or villains in this case, but this fiction really took me in and converted me to its side. The over arching story line has been delightful to work my way through. The dialogue was always well done I felt, with the characters being unique, and well developed. Furthermore, the development of the relationships of each character have been convincing, and enjoyable to witness. The author can write some seriously good fiction, and the action, which is something I feel many authors struggle to keep ingaging instead of becoming bothersome, was top notch. However the author has abandoned the story for what ever reason. I can't justify giving the story 5 stars for being incomplete, but know that I would other wise. The author has ghosted out before, but this time seems to be for good, which is just tragic. It seems to be an awful trend here on Royal Road for amazing stories to get abandoned in their prime. If this lovely work of art ever comes back from the dead, you could bet your life I'll be there, but until then it's just bittersweet thoughts of what might have been.

unique and hilarious view from a non-human
(as of chapter 17)
'Super Minion' plays in a superhero/supervillain universe and tells the story of a shapeshifting biomechanical superweapon that escapes from its lab to the city outside. In order to get the tasty stuff called food, it takes on human form and a job that turns out to be being a minion for a Super Villain. Hilarity ensues as it doesn't really understand how those strange 'humans' function or even that they aren't machines like itself.
Style: Told in first-person internal view, the story is told by a 'thing' that doesn't have the least bit of information about humans and society beyond what it can observe. This means a lot of wrong conclusions that are described lovingly. The wording is fine with a harmonic flow of the writing.
Story: The story shows how a machine sees the world and copes with it. It's funny how the protagonist observes something and tries to understand what happens, the author is really letting creativity run wild. As the protagonist has superhuman powers it hasn't met any real danger so far but the social aspect in the contact with its surroundings is described just fine. Many tiny aspects of our everyday life are shown from a non-human perspective, making you realize how strange our modern world really is.
Grammar: Not perfect but very good.
Characters: The protagonist is not human and so doesn't have a normal personaly as we know it. Its main motivation are "food" (energy needed to function) and "safety" (not being found out and brought back to the lab). But over the course of the first chapters we can already see the first glimpses of compassion. Though the world is divided between superheroes and supervillains, they mostly adhere to some rules instead of needless violence.
This is a story that will make you laugh with its many off-hand remarks and it's refreshing to see how we would be seen by an outsider.

Delicious!
This is a story that makes you both want to devour it in a furor of fevered hunger, and also slowly savor the brilliantly crafted flavors the author has imbued into it.
The style is symphonic, the story intense, the characters absolutely beautifully rendered, and the grammar flawless.

This is by far the best of its "genre"
This story is the best one or the only one that does justice to the Hero theme, I just love the world, MC's innocence when it looks or discovers things, internet and phone google search was hilarius, just perfect.

I Need More
It's really well done. I've only seen one grammatical error in the entire 17 chapters so far. The main character is interesting, and the story seems very promising. Unlike other stories where the protagonist is non-human, the protagonist actually is not human. It doesn't think how a human does, and the author doesn't let the main character get bogged down by the other human characters. It stays its own person. The world is interesting, and has some concepts to differentiate itself from other novels, like the Odd Summer. I'd say regardless of anything else this is worth a read for a good main character who isn't a total cringefest of garbage angst and emotions.

Potential to rise to the top
I absolutely love the way the author uses the character's perspective to make the story both hilarious and interesting as well as giving the characters their own unique quirks. I also love the ingenuity of the author as he uses Tofu's shapeshifting ability to hold knives on his tongue and just genuinely do unique and genius moves that can only be done by a shapeshifter of his type. Overall, the story has the potential to reach the top of Royal Road and I can't wait to read more. Keep up the good work mate!
