Empress of Blue Flower Mountain
by Queenofthefuzzybugs
Once upon a time, there lived two great and mighty spirits on the mountain. One loved humans, the other hated them. When their differences could not be reconciled, they came to blows, and the human loving spirit was chased out.
The banished spirit wandered the world. Rather than an exile, the spirit viewed her situation as an extended vacation. She saw all the sights and people she'd only ever heard about on the mountain.
But it was a little lonely. No one could see her or hear her. She was a rootless spirit with no place to call home.
And then, one day, she found a friend.
When anger and jealousy take everything, only love can create something new. This is the story of perseverance, sacrifice, and forgiveness.

Sweet love story
This story is beautiful and short, the time skips aren't random and they feel well thought out.
The characters are all likeable...well except for o e but you'll know who once you read. The story itself is really good depicted a long lived life very vivedly yet precise.
As the story is short there isn't much world building except for where the story itself takes place. The Grammer was so good I didn't spot any mistakes but still take this lightly as English is my second language so I might have just autocorrect ed it in my brain.
The story will allow you to have a few silent tears while at the end being happy
I highly recommend you try!

will capture your soul

A very brief but touching story of a mountain spirit and a king's rise to power. The writing style and the plot had me enraptured from the very beginning. It wasn't just a piece of writing but a piece of art, chinese art to be more precise😉. It's also very intriguing how different the writing style in this story is as compared to its sequel and yet both have a touch of novel beauty. I loved them! Don't hesitate to give it a chance.

cavity inducing sweetness

This story is some of the best RRL has to offer and it’s a damn tragedy that this and it’s sequel have almost no recognition. I don’t wanna spoil anything but please I beg of you just read this if you come across it. You won’t be disappointed 🙂

The Blue Flower
To be honest this sort of short story and xiaxian style is normaly not my cup of tea.
However from the very firts chapter, I am more than willing to say that I was captured.
Whether it was the writing style, the people, or the flow of the story itself it just sort of draws you into it and makes you fall in love with everything.
I have been with Royal Roads for a very long time and there are few first time stories that have the ability to draw me in, this is one of them.

For a rainy day

Beautiful

A beautiful jewel

An excellent short story. This is one of those pearls that make digging through the trasheap that is Royalroad worth the time spent.
No major issues with grammar or spelling, interesting and expressive - if not very numerous - characters, simple but beautiful story in a refreshing perspective on a xianxia setting. You can feel the evolution narrator goes through as a character as her perspective on the world changes. No unnecessary heaps of boring exposition, the author holds to "show, don't tell" rigourously. If i had one problem with this title, it's the somewhat clumsy timeskips in the 8th chapter.
Giant thumbs up overall, this is a good story even by objective measure - which makes it an undisputed jewel by RR standards.

Amazing

Hands down one of the best stories I’ve ever read. The short ones always get me. Usually when I’m done reading a good shorter story I’m left wanting more. I can honestly say I don’t want more this was more than enough by itself. But there’s more a whole lot more and I’m looking forward to reading that.
Most of my favourite stories are my favourites not for how there written but the ideas behind the stories. A story could be my favourite even if it’s not the best written. I’m happy to say this does not apply to this story. Reading it feels like I’m reading something professional and high quality, which makes the story even better and more enjoy able.
P.S thanks for the happy ending:)

Short, sweet, and full of warm fuzzies!
This is the story of a lovely "lady". It's almost reminds me of an isekai story. The main character was like the reader of a story that got tossed into it by her brother.
I recommend this for those that still enjoy reading children's bedtime stories.

cute fuzzy little story

It is very heart warming story, that i'm glad i've read.
For 8 chapters one would think tjere can't be touch to it, but the characters are very well fleshed out, especialy later in the story when it actualy makes sense.
-- some fluff to get 50 words count-
there is very little grammatical mistakes and they are very inoffensive, mostly typos
