Worthy tale of an OP Giant

OP main litrpgs are a sub-genre of their own and I thought this was a wonderfully told story. Thorn is very powerful but also extremely naive. I can understand that, he's 16 and has lived in isolation most of his life. By the end of Chapter 39 he has perhaps gained a little wisdom. The fact that O-you-bore-us is unaware of Thorn's extremely powerful guild connections is bound to come back and bite him.

Coming back and catching up, the book seems to have lost its way a bit. I found book two to be a little boring. Lots of words but not much real character growth. Melee combat is the worst choice for fantasy novels, since the way Thorn fights makes him sound like Andre the Giant rather than a fantasy character. After several battles, there is really no reason to read the fights, they're all exactly the same. Dude needs a class and some skills. Brute force is brutally dull.

I looked into the Patreon thing but I have no idea what a creation is so the donations make no sense. Is a creation a single chapter, if so the author is nuts. His book isn't worth the money. If a creation is a complete book, then each person has only dontated one time so far? Anyway, clear that up and I might possibly back for a few bucks.

Overall this is a good story with mostly thought world building. The main character while ok lacks the personality quirks that being young and rich tend to bring. Honestly he is to well behaved.

As other comments said start was good but later on it beccomes quite boring. I dropped the novel for some time, tokk it up again. Compared to book 1, book 2 is way better. Story is picking up and getting interesting. I am hoping this trend continues and story keeps getting better with time.

Give it a shot, i enjoyed it and maybe you will too

It was something different and i thoroughly enjoyed it, i even enjoyed the info dumps even if they got a bit much for me, brute strength is always a good way to go and i can relate with a tad bit of technique

over all just putting this at 5 stars cause it took me so long to read, and its one of those hidden gems that i didnt notice until i read the first chapter and comprehended what i was reading.

On a side note, not going back and going for revenge was actually rather pleasant, its kinda exhausting watching someone just chase after vengence and going the dark mc, or the justice mc taking back what was stolen. It turned out nicely in the end.

i got rather surprised he got betrayed although it may just be my lack of foresite.

i know im rambling now but if anyone reads this, give it a shot even if the reviews say otherwise

a giant super strong Mc is something I have wanted to see for a while.

I hope you focus on brute strength and an invincible body for the mc.

This story needs to get to trending :)

This story was a great suprise for me.
I rarely see this level of quality and world building here on RR. :)

I don't want to start rambling about how much I love the story so far, I just want advise anyone who reads this, to read the story! It is totally worth it!

Okay, so I have to say I haven't been following since he strated posting the individual chapters, but when I began reading I couldn't put it down for the first 13 chapters. [read: glued to my computer for an hour or so past muy bedtime] It is really engaging. so I'm writing this review partially because I read the super long and angsty review like Redman's down there, which is basically his opinion of what the author should be doing, which I don't quite understand (maybe he really does have trouble with the plot and stuff, which I don't get - read the story for yourself if you want to figure out what he's going on about, then maybe you can tell me). so I've broken down my comments into brief reasons for the review on each part.

STYLE: the author has a really active way of writing, which I like. Some of the phrasing in places doesn't work as nicely as in, say, Patricia McKillip's stories or ULG, but I'd put it up there with Mercedes Lackey. so 4 stars.

GRAMMAR: almost no typos, (as Redman notes, which I have to give him credit for) and almost no grammatical issues like hanging sentences. so 4.5

STORY: really engaging, like I said. Maybe I don't know MMOs or this genre as well as Redman, so there are probably some tropes that aren't obvious to me, but it's a really good and fun read. And yeah, there are some potential plot holes and questions i have about how the real world operates alongside the VR world, but it's still pretty plausible. And the MC is pretty well fleshed out, though I have the feeling he has a lot of growing to do [heh]. yes the MC is a bit hard to believe, but you suspend dispelief when you read a fiction/fantast/scifi book anyway. so 4.5 stars.

CHARACTER: The character, like I said, is a bit hard to believe, but what's cool is that everything is new to him, so he's discovering everything in the world and brings the reader along. And once you accept the premise of the character, the way he develops and his experiences are pretty well thought out and quite believable. So 3.5 stars.

What really makes me happy about this is how easily the humor is worked in, making it a really enjoyable read. you can tell the author is having fun and enjoying writing about the world and making it accessible to others. I'm not a big MMO player, but I would totally play this if it was a real game.

This just so happens to be one of those stories that makes my heart leap in excitement and longing. The story is well thought out and the author obviously puts great effort into the writing.

Interesting Lit-rpg picking up steam

The early chapters are bit info-dumpy and dense but that is common for stories set in a VRMMO world.

The world is interesting with the potential to either be a bit flat (since it is so heavily tilted towards realism) or to be especially deep (if the author and the MC can properly explore it).

I like the main character and the world building so far but the jury is still out simply due to the early nature of the story.  So far I really have my hopes up though.

This story is already worth reading and I think it has a good chance of developing into one of the better litrpg stories on this site.

This story is incredible so far.

The depth of character, detailed descriptions of the world and the incredibly thought out story has me hooked.

If I had to speak of a negative it is the release speed, however I would hate to see an author overburden himself to keep up with demands. That's how novels are rushed and ruined.

I shall continue to follow and enjoy your work.
